8600 more fax install problem via cable modem

The fax test report always says "an active telephone line was not detected.  I am replacing a 6210 HP that worked very well through the cable modem.  Installation instructions don't address provided by cable modem, DSL only.  I have found only one other post about the cable in which HP said "it was not a solution." I'm sure that a lot of people are on phone with a HP 8600 more cable.  Any suggestions?

Hi Neonskeleton, I think you misunderstand.  Any telephone line through the modem, it is the service of Comcast Triple play.  It's just that the number of the main house (line 1 of the modem) is sent to a wall outlet that activates to turn all the other wall jacks in the House for this line.  Line 2 of the modem went directly to my 6210 without problem.

The point is dumb if I traded more than 8600 for another and connected property directly on the signal from the modem.  Comcast said that their phone in the modem connections are analog, because the signal goes by 'son', as opposed to coaxial cable or optical fiber.

In any case, the problem is resolved.  Thanks for your input.

I have my Officejet Pro 8600 more connected to our home for the fax phone.  I want to get rid of the phone.  Is it possible to send and receive faxes on the 8600 online?

    Hey @kgarry,

I understand that you ask about fax without a phone of your Officejet Pro 8600 line. It is possible to fax without a phone through a paid service called eFax line. You can visit their Web page for more information.

If you look at a free service that allows you to receive documents, then you install a feature called ePrint.  This allows people to documents by e-mail at your address email of the printer. Emails sent to the printer will automatically display. You can visit this page for more information on ePrint.

If you have further questions about ePrint or want assistance with the service then please post questions here.

I hope this helps and I hope you enjoy your weekend!

  • Power problem BEFCMU10 Cable Modem?

Rotates this modem cable since August 2007, with no problems to speak of.  I have my computer, cable modem and router all current of execution by the same surge protector.  Until recently, I would turn the surge protector and the computer, modem and router would boot all upward and I was online.  But now when I do this the modem has finished start and stay with the 'line' and 'ethernet' LED does not blink.  By trial and error, I discovered if I simply unplug the power to the back of the cable modem, wait a few seconds, then reconnect only it - the modem comes up completely, and I'm online.  I did this time to be able to get online.

It seems that something is about to go into my cable modem?  I can't think why it would make a difference to disconnect the power supply to the back of the modem, which would be different from "simply applying" power simultaneously to all three (computer, modem and router) I've done all this time?

Someone has any suggestions, or if someone can provide information that this is a symptom that certainly my modem is about to die, and I should be looking for a replacement from?  Thank you.

Whenever you power cycle your network, don't forget that the first thing you need to do is plug the power of your Modem, once all the lights are solid on your modem then you need to connect the power of your other devices, that make up your Modem correctly and then boot to provide internet connectivity to your other devices connected to your router.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 more than network problem

Hi I had this printer for a long time and I recently started to use functions such as printing on my network instead of print wireless wired after having several computers in the House and the feature works very well, but every time I restart the printer (I turn off every day to save energy), the connection does not work , and the display shows something like "not applicable". If I manually connect the printer to the network, then it works. But I want the connection to be consistent, not where I have to manually reconnect to the printer to my router everytime I turn on the printer. All solutions? Online tools that provides HP really doesn't help.

Hello @thehairdude , welcome to the forums there.

I saw your post on your Officejet 8600 more disconnect from your network and I am writing to share my suggestion.

See this link, which will help you to assign a static IP address, which normally stabilize the connection and prevents your printer down the network.

  • Windows 81. and function OfficeJet 8600 more fax

I recently bought a new computer with windows 8.1 installed.  My all-in-one Officejet Pro 8600 was detected as a printer, but not as a fax.  What do I have to remove the printer and reinstall the software, or should I just download the new drivers on HP website?

    Hello

You must download the comprehensive software solution for the HP Web site.

Then try to connect to the router wireless (active DHCP), the printer LCD display starts to blink and a second, it displays B845D7DC.

After that, the printer asks to reset and it restarts with wireless off.

I have a cable modem with router wireless of my cable TV UPC provider called UPC Ubee EVW3226.

I tried to connect the printer to the router using the WPS button and provide the password. In both cases, I have the same behavior.

I have a dozen other wireless home devices that connect without problem to the router. But not the printer.

Please let me know what other information will be good for you to solve the problem. Or, please provide a workaround solution.

    I found the solution:

connect to your printer cable (you can use a direct eth between your computer and your printer cable), access the web interface and disable support IPv6 (let the IPv4 only verified): network > General > protocols > only IPv4 verified. Save and restart the printer.

In 80% of cases, it will work on the wireless connection. For the other 20% when it does not work, try to assign a static IP address to your printer (network > Wireless > IPv4) in a second time. Take data from your router (IP, gateway, DNS).

  • Connect the Airport Extreme via Powerlink to the cable Modem

I have problems with wifi at home as the location where the my cable modem is far from ideal. I currently connected to an Airport Extreme, which works like the router (the cable modem has the router function disabled). Attached to the AE is also a powerlink and I have an Airport Express connected to the powerlink, which has its own network.

I was wondering if it would make sense to connect the powerlink directly to the cable modem and then put my Airport Extreme, a more central location in my home connected via Powerlink and there accumulate this way, rather than the current configuration.

I'm getting a second Airport Extreme soon as well and I have several express in my house, but the problem is that my wifi is not fast at all.

    Powerlink adapters are Devolo 600 & 1200.

    Thank you

It's always a good idea to place the 'main' AirPort router as close as possible of the area where most of the wireless devices should be used in this sense, your idea is a good thing... and in theory at least. ... .the powerline adapters allow you to do.

However, in practice... you won't really know how well... or even if... this type of installation will work until you try you. The reason for this is there is so many different things that can affect the performance of a type of current line of the installation program.

If you have time, there is certainly no harm in trying this type of configuration.  Post your results if you decide to try it.

  • Do I need to have the conexant modem when I already have internet cable modem. I continue to receive messages from windows that I need to install a driver

I bought this computer used for the school. previously, the owner used AOL and dial-up. I have cable and a cable modem, so I removed the modem to see State of windows that they needed to install a driver for the computer to work. Also, I have windows 7 on my old computer, but have not been able to install it.

    Hi Crystal, azure

If you are using a router/cable modem, then you don't need to dial the modem conexant. If you are asked for the driver, then you can either install the driver or, if you want to get rid of the quite conextant modem you can remove the material completely, assuming you know how to do this. Of course, you will have to open your case and remove the conextant modem. For this I guess you have a desktop PC. A laptop would be more difficult to remove the conexant modem, unless the modem is a stand alone.

You give no details as to your problem of not being able to install Windows 7. More information will be required before anyone can really help you with this problem. An idea of what is happenning when you try to install windows 7 and error messages would be useful; What version of Windows 7 and whether retail or OEM. By the way if you try to install an OEM copy from another PC on your computer then you will obviously have problems like the copy so attached to the first PC OEM installed on the byt the PC manufacturer.

    Greetings @HPofficejetPro,

I saw your post about the problems you are having and I can find some things that you can try.

Have you tried another ethernet cable?

The same thing happens when you connect with a USB cable?

HP regularly publishes updates of firmware that can also correct the problem you are experiencing. With the USB cable is connected, you can click on this link to download the firmware update for the. HP Officejet Pro 8600 more e-All-in-One Printer - N911g.

Is the printer connected directly to a wall outlet or a surge protector or a power bar? We want to connect it to a wall outlet so that we can eliminate the source of energy as the primary cause. See this document for more information on the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power (Note: this document is not limited to printers Laserjet.)

  • Problems with ADSL modem Satellite A100 - isuser.dll might not be installed

I tried in vain to install two different modems for ADSL on a Satellite A100 (running Vista).
I started by uninstalling the drivers on the computer and then install the new 32-bit drivers from the manufacturers Web sites. (Tompson ST330 and Alcatel 330).

Installation always seems to be going well until the end of the process, when he said that he did not and suggested that I call my ISP.

It seems odd that two separate modems, made by different manufacturers do not reach a similar to the installation point.

I know that the usb cable, filter, cable, modem and line are all ok, as if I unplug the modem to my laptop and connect it to my desktop (XP), the desktop can connect to the Internet without any problems.

At this point, I got an error message that says "an installation support file that c:\...\_isuser.dll could not be installed - Access denied. "SpeedTouch PPP adapt."

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Ken

    > I did uninstall the drivers on the computer and then install the new 32-bit drivers from the manufacturers Web sites.

CA? It's really difficult to understand what exactly you were doing! Why did you deleted the drivers from the laptop and then installed all drivers from the manufacturers Web sites? And that the drivers have been removed?

The entire description confuses me?  :|

However, in my opinion, is there something wrong with the system files. The simple and the best way to solve this problem is; Recover the laptop with the CD after the operating system configuration and recovery Toshiba around trying to install the ADSL modem as shown in the modem manual!

Install all 3 third-party applications or drivers after installing the CD recovery because of the bad influence!

  • How can I connect a cisco router to the internet via a cable modem / router gateway

I have searched here but can't find the exact answer that I'm looking. I have a switch and a router cisco 1760 2950. The router has an added ethernet wic card so I have two ethernet connections available. I would like to connect the cable modem gateway the router through one of the connections on the router, then the switch ethernet. I can't get this configuration to work. There are several different ways, I saw displayed to accomlish. DHCP, without dhcp, creating a separate network and giving the e0/0 cable an ip address in the range of addresses network gateways. None of this has worked. Can someone after the commands that must be entered on the router to make this possible?

Hello, I'm assuming that your ISP is to give addresses via DHCP...

And I suppose also we want to implement our router DHCP in our local network to give our PCs and laptops etc...

So what we need to do is:

    conf t

    !

    interface e0/0

    Description # INTERNET #.

    IP access-group MY_WAN in

    DHCP IP address

    NAT outside IP

    No tap

    !

    interface e0/1

    # MY LAN description #.

    IP 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0

    IP nat inside

    !

    IP access-list standard MY_LAN

    permit 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255

    !

    MY_WAN extended IP access list

    allow tcp any a Workbench

    refuse TCP a whole

    allow an ip

    !

IP nat inside source list MY_LAN interface e0/0 overload

    !

    IP dhcp excluded-address 192.168.1.0 192.168.1.99

    !

    dhcp MY_LAN IP pool

    network 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0

    default router 192.168.1.1

    Server DNS 8.8.4.4 8.8.8.8

In this configuration, I applied an ACL for a protection to my router and my network to allow only established connections that Ive from my LAN to return to me. Anyone who tries to open a connection to your router will be refused. Everything is allowed. But you can change this option to be more specific rather than wide.

On your switch, if you leave all ports in the vlan 1 and have as access ports, it should work.

    Hope this helps

  • HP Officejet 8600 more print and scan problems

    Hello

I had my HP officejet 8600 more for 2-3 years and always had problems following and just kept reinstalling the drivers as a quick fix. I am now starting a business from home and I have no time to deal with printing and scanning the questions and, of course, my warranty has expired! My operating system is OS X version 10.9.4.

When I scan to my computer, the printer indicates "not found computer." The status of my mac is no different than when I scanned a document a few days ago! Remove and reinstall the drivers solves this problem temporarily but I want it fixed permanently.

In addition, when printing, sometimes a page can print immediately and at other times, it may take 5-10 minutes to print even if its status is 100% full in the print queue - even once, reinstall the drivers is a quick fix but I want a permanent solution.

Any help to solve these problems would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much...
