HP Officejet Pro 8600 more: problem with HP Officejet Pro 8600 more light

As soon as I turn on my printer after some time one get a short flash printerscreen code: B84D7A4. Subsequently, I get the massage that I have to powerdown the printen and turning the power on again. This repeat hisself without end. If I disconnect the network cable from the printer starts normal. As soon as I connect the network cable, I get the same error code.

If I connect to another network port, I have the same problem.

Who knows the solution for this.

I can still print via USB cable in. But I don't get the option to the printerscreen: SW update.

Greetings @HPofficejetPro,

I saw your post about the problems you are having and I can find some things that you can try.

Have you tried another ethernet cable?

The same thing happens when you connect with a USB cable?

HP regularly publishes updates of firmware that can also correct the problem you are experiencing. With the USB cable is connected, you can click on this link to download the firmware update for the. HP Officejet Pro 8600 more e-All-in-One Printer - N911g.

Is the printer connected directly to a wall outlet or a surge protector or a power bar? We want to connect it to a wall outlet so that we can eliminate the source of energy as the primary cause. See this document for more information on the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power (Note: this document is not limited to printers Laserjet.)

Please let me know the results, or if there is anything else I can do to help.

I look forward to hear from you!

Thank you

It seems to be a bad printhead, or it needs manually cleaned with water and lint. If these steps do not resolve the problem, contact HP (1800-474-6836) support.

  • Connected HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus status reads "problem with printer."

I could just ePrint on an OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus replacement and them have not used for printing yet. I was in the devices page to manage the settings and change an address for one of my devices. The newly added column 8600 State reads 'Online', but also 'problem with printer '. Instructions I was referring to the display panel of the unit for Outlook2003 on the given problem. A check of the display surface showed no information, just a typical home screen. I checked through the display print and found no problems-all functionality is enabled and fully functioning. I checked then the functions of printer in the window 'Printers and devices' of all computers (all running Windows 7 Professional) on the office network. The 8600 are active and full functionality works correctly between the printer and all the computers.

I then close the printer 8600, left for several minutes, and then lit it back and reconnected. The State says 'Problem with printer' remains in the device window HP.

I am at a loss as to what this supposed problem can be and don't know what should be a next step. Does anyone have any advice or information that could help in this situation? It would be appreciated. Thanks in advance to those who could help

HP support responded to my question by e-mail. I was told that the message 'Problem with the printer' is due to a bug in their system. Also said that as long as the status column indicates the printer is "Online" and everything else is fnctioning correctly, don't worry about this.

I consider that a resolution of the post!

    Help!

I installed a new set of cartridges (black and color) in my printer HP Officejet Pro 8600 today and now it won't print a document.  I did everything I knew to do that isn't much.  I even uninstalled and reinstalled the printer without success.  I am a 71 year grandmother, who is working on a project for my grandson.  A kind person out there in cyperspace could you please give me some advice on how to restore my printer?  Thank you! Sharon-

I'm so bad that down below where I have to select a category, I don't know even what to check, because I don't think my problem apply to one of them.  It's just a problem with a printer.  Will you please excuse anything I check because I do not know and there is no "miscellaneous" category

Thank you very much for the reply.  After "fiddling around" with the cartridges, uninstalling and reinstalling etc, I finally got to work.

Thanks again for your response!  I appreciate your time!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: message "problem with the printer or ink system.

I replaced the magenta cartridge with a new cartridge genuine HP (end of warranty 2017/01), but now get a message "problem with the printer or the ink system.

If I restore the old cartridge I get the message that it is empty, but all the other options of the printer are available.

Online support does not give me any result of solution but suspect there may be a manufacturing error in the new cartridge.

Does anyone else have this problem or advice?

  • OfficeJet 8600: HP OfficeJet 8600 'problem with the printer or ink system '.

We have replaced the cartridges (with HP) and now we can print only about 1/2 a page, sometimes 1 page-, then it displays an error, "There is a problem with the printer or the ink system" and the printer should be set and to continue...

We bought new (2nd series) of the ink cartridges and the same behavior exists.

It seems to point to a new print head - but those who are more expensive than a new printer.

Are there other measures I could take to try to resovle?

I can't find scraps of paper (ie: torn, jam, etc.), nor any excessive ink any where - everything seems pretty clean.

I removed the print head and cleaned the contacts.  I cleaned the contacts on the ink cartridges. I ran "Clean print head" in the Tools menu (which results in the same error)

There are sometimes up to 3 of these messages "stacked."

It is died regardless of what was asked of it... ie: print from netowrk, printing via usb, copy color, copy b & w, etc..

  • OfficeJet Pro 8620: problem with ink

Hello. I have nothing else to the HP printers used in my life using the computer - more than 25 years! I bought a new Officejet Pro 8620 2 years. I also bought cartridges refilled at the same time as my father died and I would need to use the printer a lot. Unfortunately, I bought ink another 3 times for this printer, when printing somewhere near 100 pages ALTOGETHER since the purchase. Problem is the printer keeps saying cartridge is not HP and damaged - should replace the HP cartridges. I've NEVER had a problem before using reloaded cartridges. Why change now? Am very close to get back to using my old computer Win XP and more old HP all-in-one printer. I have 3, and none of them has NEVER given any problems.

Looking for help on this. Have always had confidence in HP before - don't want to lose that now. Last cartridges were new HP, but still having the same problems. Suppliers of ink have been highly evaluated with excellent reviews. Warranty expired a year ago. Haven't had extended warranty because, as I said, never had a problem with HP printers to more than 25 years.

In addition, cellular internet very limited - and not (!) reliable. 50 miles of the city.

Yes, I learned a LOT over the weekend. First of all, I ordered a few inkplicity.com ink. Am curious about their ink, with their 1 year warranty. Shortly after ordering, I contacted Fuzoo, who then asked me to photograph both sides of the chip. I had no idea of the chip was removable. And actually, I see on the YoYoInk cartridges that the chip is glued in place. Then, I saw a few chips ink auto reset for sale online. And then began to find a lot of links and messages and articles on the chips of HP and the problems associated with them. Like my old printers were about 2000 or so, I had never met the problems associated with the current chips.

Now, Fuzoo has graciously agreed to replace not only the Magenta faulty cartridge (which has their 'old' piece), but will send a full order before, which was black (2) and a set of color inks. Can't get much better than this! So it would seem that I'm no longer need an explanation of why this happens - it's all about HP and their need to force their customers (who FREELY CHOOSE to buy their printers) in the purchase of HP ONLY cartridges.

It is a free country that is stuffed with capitalism. You'd be hard-pressed to get into any grocery store and NO search of generic items just alongside their counterparts in brand and usually for less money. You have car trouble? Generic (non - OEM) parts are available, as well as a lot of rooms refurbished. HP should remember their place in the grand scheme of things, or they will go the way of many other electronics companies. Trying to force customers to pay more for ink is bad. ... So this would increase the cost of the printers in the first place? Yes, probably. I was always ready to buy quality products when I could afford to, and HP printers had always been reliable but also easy to use. With this printer, I swore to the dang thing a lot more that I used it.

Please, ch, make the message and ease up trying to railroad customers. Even us loyal customers for a long time "' will leave! Don't forget, we are customers of HP by "choice"!

Problem is now solved. Thank you all for your comments!

  • OfficeJet Pro 6830: there is a problem with the printhead - estimate of repair costs?

Getting the message "There is a problem with the printhead".  Found the document tracking and troubleshooting got to step 3 where it says "the printer to Service."

Naturally, when I checked, I found that our guarantee missed three weeks ago.  The printer lasted more than a year...

No idea what it would cost for this repair?

Or given the pricing model for ink jet printers, are we better off he throw?

We had an Epson printer that has lasted several years; Maybe we should go back to them?
