Hello
I'm going to migrate my current db 9.2.0.8 (version of zone is 1!) to a new server 11.2.0.3, so I'm wondering if I should upgrade version of my current 9iR2 to version 4 time zone! Before update
BTW, my new server for a zone schedule v14.
Thank you

You can export the site directly from Muse in HTML and upload it to your server.

Option 2: What backup should be restored? Do you mean restore backup DB with APPL_TOP, COMM_TOP & OA_TOP? We need to copy anything else here? and do we not have any document to this option?

Restore all files from node level database and the application without exception.

Option 3: To copy the files, we need to copy db_top, data_top, appl_top, comm_top and oa_top. We need to copy anything else here? and do we not have any document to this option? I hope we can run level dbTier/apps adcfgclone giving the source xml files.

Copy all the files mentioned in the doc of rapid Clone. If you chose to go with this approach, then you need not file context source as quick Clone will create new ones for you (must be identical to the source ones).

My account is migrated to a new server, so I had to recreate the same account in Thunderbird, but I can not delete the old one - they appear together now.

If there is no email from the old account that you want to keep, move them in local directories first.
    Tools > accounts settings
    OR
Right click on the email account in the fodler pane, and then select "settings".

Select the account you want to delete.
    Click on "Actions account."
    Select 'delete account '.
    Click OK

  • Migrate to new server hides

I've been running server on an old computer and now I am a new and have completed the introduction.

I have many apps and installed OS cached on the old server, how can I migrate the cache on the new server?

    10.11.5 with 5.1.5 Server

    Two ways.

    1. If the new server can peer with the former, just run two servers for a while.  A new shoot gradually data it needs from the old when clients request it.  This method is best if the new server has already given cached which is not the old one.

    2. for a more immediate clone, stop two development servers cache, run this command in a Terminal on the new server, and then resume the new update server caching.  Replace the admin user with the name of an administrator account on the old server and old-server with the name or the IP address of the old server.

    $ sudo rsync - a - delete admin user@old-server: / library/server/cache/Data / / Library/Server/cache/Data /.

The sudo and the rear bars (after data) are important.  This command replaces the new cache server with the content of the old cache, assuming that the two of them store their caches in the default location on the boot drive.  If we use a different location, change the command accordingly.  Be sure to copy only the data directory and not all of the caching folder.

  • Migration of DHCP: Old name of the server appears in the console, but OK on server DHCP itself

Last night, I've migrated our production from 2008 to 2012 R2 DHCP servers. Monitoring the migration pretty well thanks to all of our test environments and PROD so guide. Check the DHCP logs on the new server, everything seems to go OK, but there is a question that we can not understand:

-In the DHCP console on our desktops, I right click on DHCP for 'add a server... '. »
-Select the "this authorized DHCP server: ' and I see the new name of the server and the INVESTIGATION period.
-Now, DHCP in the console, the FORMER name of the server appears under the node.

I thought enter ADSIedit and change the name of the DHCP server might help, but it didn't.

  • How to migrate from Fireworks CS3 to a new computer laptop when the key to the series is lost?

I'm migrating from Fireworks CS3 to a new computer laptop. I lost the serial key number so I can't install it again. Instead, I copied the program and export/import the relevant part of the registry. And also copied FLEXnet. However, the program comes the spirit the message "licensing for this product has stopped working". I used the ADOBE recovery tool, but nothing helped. Thanks for any ideas or help them.

Products Adobe may not be transferred, they must be installed using installation files.  If you have an existing installation, then you might be able to get the serial number of this one.

If it's a Windows machine, and then try running Belarc Advisor

For a Mac, you can try:

  • The steps required to perform a migration to a new server vCenter using distributed switches?

We are currently on version 5.1 of vCenter and ESXi 5.1 on all our guests.  We use a vDS on our current server vCenter and will need to migrate to a new server vCenter soon.  Is there a documentation about the steps to migrate to a new server vCenter using switches distributed?  We hope to achieve this goal without any downtime.  The problem is that we need that VDS on our 10GB network for the aggregation of links.  If having to migrate guests at standard switches before moving them to the new vCenter server, there will be problems of network performance.

Because information about your environment are stored in the database of vcenter al you should just be able to stand up the new vCenter server and that it points to the existing database

  • Migrate DB composer view existing to a new server of DB

I need to move our current database view composer from its current location (oldserver1) to a new location (newserver1), while maintaining the existing View composer service. It of just a matter of the DB Backup, restore to a new location, create a new ODBC and then change the settings for the DB composer within the view administrator? The function of composer should not need to be back in place, right? In addition, composer uses the port 18443 by default, but the new database uses port 1433 and it's the last DB that will need to be migrated to the new server (that is, there are other DBs residing on newserver1).

So that you do not move the service shouldn't you need to reinstall or change anything within the opinion as the configuration for the service views.     The 18443 is see how connect to the service not the database, so you should not change this either.

  • R there are certain applications in essbase. How do I know which is unicode and Nonunicode, so that we can migrate to a new server.

We need to migrate from old to new server, so is there a chance as change properties where we can know wheather the application is unicode or nonunicode, so that we can make similar in the new server applications by using the migration wizard, first by making applications same dummy and then use the wizard to migrate.

You change the properties in the database and not on the application level, try at the application level.

Our current server has everything installed on a partition with a small amount of disk space, that I want to achieve a scenario where I have a new server and the remote database and set up a configuration where the new server and sql dedicated box will always reside on the same host in case of failure of the host, so we can still access the virtual Center

  • Migration of VCenter 4.0 to 4.1 on the new server - database upgrade problem

    Hello

    I am trying to migrate from a 32-bit W2K3 vCenter Server 4.0 to 4.1 running on a new server W2K8 R2.

The servers have different hostnames and IP addresses.

The datamigration tool ran on the existing server and registered the relevant question of config. I run it on the new server, and he acknowledges that there is data on migration and launch the installation program. This will go through the first steps and connects successfully to the db SQL 2005 (which is on a separate machine) via the DSN. Then, it generates an error:

"vCenter server does not support the upgrade of database version 2.5u5 or below." Please upgrade the database to a supported version and try again".

Thus, the vCenter database is in an old 'format '?

    How can I update manually?

    Thank you very much

    P

    Welcome to the community.

VCenter 4.0 DB is different from 2.5, for its strange.

Check the DSN configuration if you point to the correct DB.
