910124 how to save Windows Update download?

Hello
I do not use a domain controller (Domain Controller). some computers on a network in the same workgroup.
on all Windows XP is installed. If I activate the automatic update on each of them, each download updates separately and devours my redundant internet load. I prefer download only once and install the files downloaded on each of them. but there is no option in Windows Update to save what he downloads to a folder specified for later use.
I also tried to find in Microsoft Download Center and find the package he wants to download by following the link for each update. but in some cases, this search is unsuccessful. for example, an element is:

* Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and the .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update for versions of .NET 2.0 to 3.5 (KB951847) x 86

the size is noticeable, 69.2 MB.
so, I have the following problem:

1. research in download.microsoft.com on KB951847 finds NO results.
2. from the http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=133335 link in the update details section does no download link.
3. after a Bing search on this subject, I couldn't find an exact match. titles may vary or size can mismatch.
4. even though I can find, yet I can't be sure it's exactly what the Windows itself will download.

the ideal is that Windows has the capacity or a tool to download all the required updates, as is the case, but not to place them in a temporary folder and then delete them. so without having to install them all manually one after the other in other computers, a record, including all updates downloaded may each be specified as the source (instead of the internet) for the tool install after the other.
is it possible to reach such an idea?
THX

  • How to stop Windows Update by creating temporary files on my external drives?

Any ideas on how to tell Windows Update to stay away from my external drives?

I have several external drives I use for backup projects, archives and collections of major media. They are connected to my laptop very irregularly and rarely more than a few hours. In recent years they have been inundated with folders with long as names d84fa74b9585277339 as the seams related to Windows Update. I think it has already started on the laptop with XP I had before this one. Sometimes I see these files on the internal hard disk, but there are theyalways disappear after some time. On external drives, I have to delete manually. On an NTFS disk partition I use for backup, it's not easy, sometimes I have to take ownership of the folder. Drives FAT32 / exFAT is easy.

I guess people who have developed Windows Update realized that you can not trust USB or eSATA connected drives to be there when the cleaning is executed (BTW when cleanup runs it?). So I must have screwed up a setting somewhere. And I have to be very consistent in this because the same thing happens with friends and relatives, I contributed to the installation of Windows 7...

  • How to stop Windows Update to force an unwanted win7 upgrade to win 10

Can someone tell me how to stop Windows Update to force an unwanted Win 7 upgrade to win 10.

Currently, I have 50 + 'important' updates pending and 3 updates "optional" (which one is ranked 10 Windows), but even with 10 Windows Update is not selected and the value "hide this update" the only option shown in Windows Update is upgrading to Windows 10.

Any attempt to install ONE of the other Win 7 or MS Office updates translates into Windows Update, saying that it is downloading Windows 10.

I would like to install updates Windows 7 (and MS Office), but given the way that Microsoft has put on several occasions customers for a forced update to win 10, I'd really rather not count on leave install Win 10 and just hope that the 'Roll Back' option really works without leaving me right where I am now.

  • where windows update download files to install?

I have Windows Update set to automatically download files to install, but not to install actually automatically as it never fails he made them while I'm in the middle of an online game and I'm kicked out the game to restart.

But I am running Windows XP Professional (a Win 7 deleted) which is 32-bit.  Windows Update downloaded IE 8 but it's raw processor; I think that x 82 or x 86.   Since it has not been installed I can not go to the control panel to delete must be found so I can remove it and get rid of the darn yellow exclamation point and pop-up window telling me I have downloads waiting for installation.

    Thank you

Updates automatically downloaded cannot be reused. Suggest you open the link "View update history" of the icon of the Windows Update control panel and write updates have been downloaded and installed.
Then download and save them from the Microsoft Download Center .
Just enter the number in the field to Search All Download Center and then click on the "magnifying glass" to start the search.

  • Access user (UAC) shield appears on a large number of my programs now after Windows Update download and cause problems with some programs, no one knows how to fix this? (Windows 7) (Windows Update post a coupe of weeks)

    Hello

Windows Update recently made a lot of downloads on my computer about two weeks ago (I run it automatically and it works usually weekly) and he has made some changes to my system that create errors or difficulties with certain programs. The shield of the UAC is now appearing on many more programs for some reason any and now I'm a guest whenever a program is available. which is also appear on my AntiVirus program. Action Center flag appears almost every day now with warnings saying that my AntiVirus program and spyware is off (not sure if this is related to the UAC shield), but when I check my AntiVirus program everything works and after access; the flag of the Action Center shows while all right. Nobody knows how to solve this problem and get rid of the ecu of the UAC on programs (or at least some of them I want to be invited on)? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I'm sure I've upgraded to Vista SP2, but not absolute, I can't find a lot of information in the case of the newspapers with the service pack level... only vista combined with some process is perceptible. I bought July ' 09 new and it came pre-installed with Vista on it. I think this is the tool I used to remove McAfee on this; It also came with Norton as an alternative option and both have been removed using their tools to uninstall BitDefender installation instructions walked me through the location and the removal of two of them before installing BitDefender on the computer. My user account is configured as an administrator, but when I right click on programs with the shield of the UAC on them, I'm not running as an administrator. The UAC slider is set at the 2nd ranked (by default); but I do not know how it was listed previous, I wondered about moving down one notch (but he advises not and I don't want to spoil anything).
