  The little book you make refers to is the smart switch to Lenovo. It is controlled through settings or via the drop down menu on the main screen central. You can ignore it so that you can control brightness levels. When in mode auto, it is a bit erratic, but I find it seems to respond more to the position of the stand that the rotation of the screen.   Yes, you bought the serial number and it's good for both computers. You can have it installed on two computers at the same time, but, technically, you're not supposed to use it at the same time, as noted in the license agreement. Technically, one person is supposed to have use of Photoshop as well, but it is not really anything they can do about it.
