  First of all to find any pdf file in your file system. Then right click and click 'Open with', go to choose program, select Adobe Reader and check the box always 'using the program selected... '. "and then click OK.

  This should fix your pdf file extension association.

  If it doesn't, uninstall Acrobat Reader and install the latest version from http://www.adobe.com/downloads/

  You view the image in one of your libraries? If so could you please open the menu under your avatar and choose the license history.
