a disk hard mbr does not recognize my card mother xp - 703

Hello.

I'm trying to downgrade my windows xp-703 aspire 8.1 for windows 7 and cannot operate.

I disabled the secure boot. Windows 7 will allow to install on an MBR disk, but when I put the drive on the MBR (using another computer) that acer will not see the hard drive.

I feel, this computer will only recognize the GPT disks.

I even took a drive work with windows 7 and connected to this computer, and it still does not recognize the drive.

Can anyone offer advice.

Concerning

Clive

Hi all.

Thank you very much for all your comments. It is resolved. I now running Windows 7.

(XC - 703) my mistake in the subject line.

I need win 7 because I have a software that does not work in win8 or win10.

It has proved to be a BIOS initially. I got P11 - B1, who does not have the option "Launch the CSM". I had to reinstall win8, so I could run the upgrade of BIOS of windows that I was unable to boot from any external drive. Update BIOS version P11 - B2. Once I had started from my win7 disk (64-bit), I could use SHIFT + F10 to bring up a DOS window and use DISKPART to clean the hard drive.

He then completed the installation of windows 7. I knew that he should like Acer provides Win7 drivers.

Once again thanks a lot for your help.

Clive

  • Vista does not recognize video card

I recently moved, and after I put my computer my monitor is not a signal. I plugged my monitor on the main port and it came. My computer does not recognize the card in the Device Manager. I opened it and inspected the map for all the Visual problems and plugged it upward and noticed that the fan on the graphics card not working. I then did a full restore of the system, reinstalled the installation CD supplied with the card after you disable the onboard and restarted my computer. Still does not recognize the card and after restarting it on my integrated card. Then, I went into the BIOS and selected PCI-E as my first. So... im out of ideas here, if the fan is still ongoing is not the card still work? I don't have another office to plug it in. Is there another way to know if the card works? Why it can't recognize the graphics card which was working fine before the move? On a side note, the computer was unplugged for 2 weeks during this time, but I don't know why this could be a problem.

    IM using Vista 32 bit.

    Hi Myriam.
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers forum
If the fan on the card does not is an indicator that the card is not powered, so the only way to test it is to plug it into another machine to see if the motherboard is not giving power or is the card that is bad. You can also try to plug a PCI-E device and see if it has power.

You have all the cables connected directly from the power supply to the graphics card?

  • Photoshop does not recognize my card 960graphic GeForce GTX

    Hello

I need help on my graphics (GTX 960). Everything's fine (yesterday until I update an extension called FlatIcon (Fi)). I used it for a long time and nothing wrong. Now, Photoshop does not recognize my card. I updated the driver NVIDIA, photoshop set to run as a high performance with NVIDIA Control Panel, remove FlatIcon extension, reset prerefences (Alt + Ctrl + Shift), increase the size of the Scratch drive (200 GB free now), but without hope. I hope someone can help me solve this problem, thank you 1 million.

Can you have a think when this started.  Could he have when you went from CC2014 to CC2015 for example?  CC2015 makes the best use of the GPU acceleration and seems to be more picky about the material.

You are not able to check the use of GPU acceleration at all, or simply not advanced drawing mode?

What driver version are you using?

FWIIW, my experience with a GTX970 was that I could only use Basic Drawing mode in CC2014, but it suddenly allowed me to set the mode advanced for awhile and then changed me back to the basic mode when I upgraded to CC2015

353,3 get mode advanced for a short period, but it passed without known reason.

    Displays how do you drive?

    You have only a GTX960?

  • Windows 7 upgrade failed - disk HARD recovery does not work

I just received my Windows 7 upgrade disc, followed the procedure and he managed to upgrade Vista 64 bit for Windows 7 32 bit! Some drivers also seem to, were charged more than once.

I tried to do a system restore from the recovery of HARD drive partition - and it won't!

    Can someone, please?

    Hello

Drive HARD recovery does not work because Win 7 ran the Boot Manager and maybe the HDD partition has been affected.

I guess you want to roll back to Vista preinstalled Toshiba.
I think in your case, only the recovery disc will help you.

  • does not recognize sd card

my computer does not recognize when I insert my Secure Digital (SD) card. I have already tried to turn the computer off and then back on. I also tried the card in every hole, but nothing works.

    Hello dallyglr14,

Thank you for using the Microsoft answers Forum.

You may have a hardware failure with the card itself. You could try to plug it into another computer and see if the card is recognized. If the card is faulty, you will want to contact the manufacturer to determine if there is a way to diagnose the problem.

Plug the device on another computer to verify that it works correctly and let us know what you find.

  • Reference Dell place 11 Pro - SD card does not recognize the card

  • Drive problem hard dv8000 - does not recognize hard drives

This is my first post, so please let me know if I did something wrong!

OK, so the other day, I was working on my dv8000 when he walks just down. I turned it back and instead of properly start he told me that he could not find the operating system. Knowing that the machine was two disks in it, I swapped the primary with secondary school and always got the same result. Then, I went out and bought an external and attached drive Bay hard drive to my office. The disc was bad and kept cycling the heads. I have now bought a new HDD and the laptop is currently configured with the new disk into the main slot and the other original hard dirve I checked and it is good in the second slot. Here's my problem - when I go in the bios that the computer recognizes the two hard disks for boot options, but when I try to load XP from a cd to the laptop, it tells me that there is just no hard drives installed... What don't get me? I checked the disc for errors via the bios and the comeback test passed. I thought about formatting of readers but the bios doesn't have a format feature in what I can say. for all the intense and fine, the bios sees the readers, but the operating system does not work. Any ideas >

Please help because this is my machine of the company and I can't keep borrowing my wifes laptop, she thinks I'm going to break this one too!

    Thank you.

"When I try to load XP from a cd to the laptop, he tells me that there is just no hard drives installed... What missing am me?"

Your cd does not necessarily include the required drivers. The original (MS detail) XP installation cd does not detect the SATA drives. Also some other readers can be detected, including the ATA/IDE standard. If you have your original factory CD, you could try this, it should work. You can try to install another operating system, for example. Ubuntu and see if these disk become visible.

    Hi Neil,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Communities. This problem can occur if the mouse pointer is not properly placed on the HARD drive. Provide the following information:

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    Follow these methods.

    Method 1: Follow these steps:

Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

Step 2: If the problem does not persist in safe mode, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow step 7 the link to start the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Method 2: Follow the steps in the article.
