A fake program known as anti virus pro system, severely infected my computer and made him almost useless.

This program somehow bypassed my security as I was never asked "permission". The program stopped me to open what is not already open.  It does not block same panel Manager and task control to open.  It doesn't seem like a big deal until it blocks my security program as well.  I am unable to remove it, and continually, he made false scans, create many popup windows to try to make me buy a version of 'complete '.  It gives me 'security alerts' on programs that make up an important part of the computer as a firewall and the Task Manager.  It drives me nuts, and I need help before this gets out of hand.  Seems not unique for me, as many others have published guides to remove this specific programme.  I was looking at them, but they tell me that I need to use the Task Manager and the control panel.  Apparently it's internet control explore too much.  He keeps making the browser pop up with offers to download the program.

If I don't get an answer soon, I can be find out how hard reboot.

Hello

I had the similar problem on this site: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-system-tool

Information on PC:
Operating system: Windows7
CPU: i3
HARD drive: 500 GB
RAM: 4 GB

I managed to install the program Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and did a quick scan. I removed everything that was listed, restarted and it fixed the threat of the background, well. However, I noticed a slight change with the Google search box when I entered a keyword or search. It takes forever for the site to load otherwise, then it keeps looking like his endless. The interesting part is when I click on a link, it redirects me to a different site. A sure thing, I was unable to install Rkill.exe to a reason any during the process of safe mode networking or normal startup.

After that, I installed Spybot, did a scan and the results was very good. I also have avg antivirus and the results was good too.

Not really sure what is happening here, but someone at - he experiences the same thing? Did I miss something during the safe mode networking or was RKill.exe the last step to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance
SOON :)

    Raz2009,
If you have a known problem with the virus then I suggest to get an antivirus program that you can boot from and run it without starting Windows.

Another option would be to format your drive and do a clean install of Windows (this would remove all the data of your drive).  If you have a backup of your data, this is the best course of action.  If you do not have a backup, you can then do a parallel install (This installs XP in a different folder if you don't lose any data). • Action Center does not detect Avast Anti-virus after system restore

I had to do a system restore to a point a few days earlier due to some bad drivers.  After you get things restored, I found that the Action Center are most recognized Avast (free version) as my anti-virus software.  It is fully updated and running and work very well.  I tried several suggestions available online, including suggestions on the avast website to check the consistency of the standard WMI (https://support.avast.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=580&nav=0, 1.20). I also checked that there isn't an underlying virus and tried to 'fix' the installation of Avast in the menu programs and features, as well as a few reboots.  Nothing has worked. You cannot save your programs - a clean installation wipe everything from the hard drive.  Programs need to be reinstalled (they cannot be copied or saved) - and you probably wouldn't do anyway because there is a good chance that some of the infected files can reside in these same programs.  The ONLY way to avoid this is to get your hands on a real Windows Vista Installation disc, so we can attempt a repair system/upgrade where your programs will be preserved (and we don't know yet if that will completely solve the problem of infection but it probably will restore the functionality at least for a certain period of time).

Sorry for the bad news, but that's just how it is.

  • Firefox (which has apparently anti-virus protection) is usable on a computer with already installed Norton antivirus?

I said that I can only have 1 antivirus program on my computer at the same time. Since firefox has features antivirus, can install it on a computer that already has a Norton antivirus program?

    User Agent

    Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.0; WOW64; Trident/4.0; GTB6.5; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; Media Center PC 5.0; .NET CLR 3.5.21022; .NET CLR 3.5.30729 .NET CLR 3.0.30729; NET4.0C)

Firefox does not include anti-virus protection, you need a separate program such as Norton anti-virus.

  • Anti-virus 2008 / 2009 malware infection...

It seems that there was more in addition to the infection spreading on the internet.  Then. without further ADO, here are some steps to help prevent the worst.

If you see the software on your system... warning you of all these "infections" and "registry errors '... IGNORE IT!

    1. do not install the software... in fact, do not click on anything in windows... closing the application is very well, but it just goes to show again.

    2. NEVER put in your credit card information in a program that has been installed on the system.  If you go buy a software, buy it at the store... a valid and respected website, or call the service.

    3. go on the internet... go to Google.  Looking for a program called MalwareBytes.  Download (it is only 2.9 MB in size), install, update and run the quick scan option.  Follow the prompts on the screen to remove the boxes all the selected (in red).

    4. restart the system.

Don't panic if you have chosen to install the software... the above steps are still a viable option.  However, if you purchased the program, get in touch with your credit card of the Bank and block the card immediately.

I don't mean to cause a panic here... but this program is causing many problems... better to help inform the community as possible.

  • How to know which anti-virus software is installed on the computer

want to find the State of the computer so I can see what antivirus software is on my computer

Click on Start then run and in the Open: box type wscui.cpl and then OK or Enter. This will open Security Center. Click on the double arrows next or Off for the Virus Protection to display that this case, the antivirus program is installed.

To determine if other security software can be installed, you can consider using AppRemover. It's main function is specifically for uninstalling security software, but you need only to scan to determine what programs exist.
