  I find this weird problem affecting that explorer.exe and not any other .exe files. The control panel default programs Dosen t State .exe in the list of protocols and I find it complicated to press the windows logo and click computer each time.   I suggest you please uninstall Acrobat XI using the uninstall program, after uninstall, run the file set.

  There will be a dialog box that will pop up after you have accepted the terms and Conditions (EULA), select English (North America)

  If you want to change the language for an application that is already installed on your computer, you will need to change the preferred language, Uninstall and reinstall the application.

  You can do this easily from the creative cloud desktop application. Please see this document for more information:

  Set the installation language.  Applications installed after Exchange of the language will be in the newly configured language.

  Specific advice Apple seem to be uninstall QuickTime, it should no longer be necessary and has a few potential security vulnerabilities. See Uninstall QuickTime 7 for Windows - Apple Support.

  Assuming that you have a 64 bit system, this facility expected to be compatible. For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.
