A general question on installing Windows 7 and RAID configuration
I have an OEM Windows XP machine. His HD system consists of two physical disks connected during a RAID 0 configuration. The RAID has been initially configured in the BIOS (and maybe an extra chip), and then there are the drivers included in the installer of the OS.
My question is: if I install Windows 7 from scratch on this machine (i.e. not updated from XP) the installation process would allow me to configure the RAID? Has its own generic drivers for RAID configurations?
You will appreciate a response from a really knowledgeable person.

I installed windows 7 and the desktop icons and bar tasks are enormous
Original title: Windows 7
I installed windows 7 and the desktop icons and bar tasks are enormous, go to Web pages, I have to use the scrollbar at the bottom of page to see the other half of the page - he said could also be a driver problem, but don't know what I'm looking for - someone can help?
Hello
Yes, well part of the problem from the point of view of Dell is the only "acceptable" operating system for the Office of series 4600 XP. So they have no drivers 'official' for any function of Windows 7!
But first I need more information on the video card. Try this (on the Dell site): 4600 system is supplied either with the built-in car video or a dedicated real card video. You should know that you got. Right-click of your mouse on the desktop, click on Properties in the next area, you see. This will bring you into the display properties. Now click on settings at the top right of this next area, click Next on the advance . Now, click on the adapter on the top. Just below the upper on this last box, you will see your listed video adapter.
You will need this information, regardless of where you get help. My best recommendation is that you go to the community of Dell and after a question here. Someone may have already found one, but there is nothing official since the operating system is not officially supported.
I'm sorry, there is nothing more I can do.
Kind regards

Floppy disks to install Windows 7 and the product keys are exclusive to each other?
Floppy disks to install Windows 7 and the product keys are exclusive to each other? Or can I use a disc that I have to restore the windows on a second laptop and activate it with a different product key? It is not a question to find out how many users I can put in place, but whether the disk and product key are mutually exclusive.
As long as the product key matches the edition, it should work perfectly, no exclusivity.

Hi, I installed windows 7 and now my Blu - ray drive does not even appear not at all, even in the device mgr. When I put it in a disk begins to spin and it stops, but it does not even acknowledge at all that there a burner. I know that there are many problems with windows 7 Blu-ray disc does not play, but I can't even get there. Is there a fix to windows again? I appreciate all help. Thank you, God bless you
Radlfly[Moved from comments]Hi Radlfly,
I see that you have some problems with the burner blu - ray on Windows 7. I'll help you with this problem.
1. What is the brand and model of the computer?
2. What is the brand and model of the blu - ray player?
3. have you made changes on the computer recently?
4 is the issue confined to this hard drive?
I want you to know that Blu - Ray is a patented technology, so need the codec appropriate to buy and this is why we cannot include it in our operating system.
To play a Blu - ray disc, you must use a non-Microsoft program that supports Blu - ray playback and a device that can play Blu - ray discs.

I want to install windows 7 and I get an error saing that I need to install via windows PE? How can I go about it?
Hello
1. you try to perform a new installation of Windows 7?
2. where did you buy the Windows 7 DVD?
This particular message occurs generally if you try to perform an upgrade on the spot of a recovery disc or installation support OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) that contains a custom defined configuration and can't stand not running an upgrade installation.
The message means that you probably need to start using the installation media. You can also contact the manufacturer of your computer to determine the type of installation media that you have and to confirm what options are available when booting from the disc.
Here are some links that provide additional information about the installation of Windows 7:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/installing-and-reinstalling-Windows-7Alternatively, you can consult this article to understand what is Windows PE.

I want to remove pre-installed windows 8 and want to install windows xp in hp 6 but idont know how to install
Hello
First thing to do is to go to the HP website and see if the XP drivers are available for your model of HP.
http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/support-drivers.html
If there is no XP drivers, XP does not work for you.
If the XP drivers are available, looking for a place to buy XP, which is a terrible thing to do as Microsoft did not sell XP for many years.
You run the very serious risk of buying pirated XP software from anywhere on the Net.
Stay with your preinstalled Windows 8.
See you soon.

Then start with the media that you did (you may need to change the boot priority in your BIOS so that the optical drive is the first boot device). The test runs immediately. * It is not necessary to have a third party burning software in Windows 7 since Win7 natively allows to burn an .iso. Other operating systems require it. A good free choice ImgBurn comes from www.imgburn.com .

Is it possible to recover my windows vista? I tried to install windows 7 and he shot his request now a windows key. any suggestions?
Hey BH32009
Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send vista recovery discs
they do it for a nominal cost of $
also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought
you would normally press F10 or F11 or Alt + F10, 0 at startup to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer
Ask them of the exact key sequence
Save all data, because it will be lost, do the above
