A Page in the browser of centering

My page is centered with in the brower however depending on how long vertically the page is the Center to move. So when you change some pages some are placed in a spot other are positioned slightly to the left and its noticeable enough to navigate the site. How can I correct that the page remains in the same place centered in the browser.

Add this to the CSS-

HTML {overflow - y: scroll ;}

Put it at the top of the CSS file.

    Hello

    My page is left justified right now.

    I have everything inside a div called container. I have a CSS rule as well. What I have to add to the CSS rule to make the center of the page in the browser? Thank you.

    < div class = "container" > stuff < / div >

    . Container {}

    background-image: url(images/HOME-PAGE-BOAT.jpg);

    background-repeat: no-repeat;

    background-position: top center;

    height: 900px;

    Width: 1260px;

    }

    For reference, auto margin: 0; is the abbreviation of

    margin -top: 0;

    margin -right: auto;

    thebottommargin: 0;

    margin -left: auto;

    Not very well why he pushed it to the right.

    EDIT: / / Re: background image. I would put the image on theortag that will not have this problem. This link might offer some advice for a possible solution.

  • Web page using the browser of centering

    Hello

    I created my web page for screen resolution 800 x 600.

    When a spectator to my Web page put their screen at a higher resolution, say 1152 x 864, my web page moves to the left side of the screen, leaving a blank space on the right.

    How can I get my web page to stay in the centre, i.e. the middle of the screen, when a higher resolution is used by the Viewer. I noticed that microsoft.com has achieved this when my resolution is greater than 800 x 600.

    Thanks for any help.

  • Impossible to center the Web page in the browser window!

    Hello! I have searched and tried almost everything to Center my Web page in the browser window, but it does not work!

    This is the page: www.claudechalhoub.com. I want that page is centered regardless of the size of browser window!

    I have included the following code in my html code:

    < style type = "text/css" >

    {body
    text-align: center; / * For the IE6.
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    min-width: 770px;
    background-image: url(pictures/lastimage.jpg);
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-color: #000;
    do-family: "Palatino Linotype", "Book Antiqua", Palatino, serif;
    color: #FFF;
    make-style: normal;
    }
    {#wrapper}
    Width: 770px;
    Auto margin: 0;
    text-align: left;
    }
    ...
    < / style >

    And then I realized:

    < body >

    < div id = 'wrapper' >
    < div id = "ap_text" > "the beauty of the music of Claude Chalhoub, is that it is not 'new' at all. This sounds familiar, even if you have never listened to music Arabic (or classical music) at all. As if it had always been there. It is as natural as breathing. "And it's this great art is all about - what makes the difficult seem easy." < / div >

    ...

    < / div > <! - close the tag div wrapper - >

    < / body >

    I don't know what the problem of not working!

    Any guidance?

    Your background image for the "body" tag contains the image that you used in it also. It's a bad habit. Just use a background image wide 5px and use it in your body background tag. Repeat with horizontally to fill your screen.

    Put your photo in a DIV inside the 'wrapper' div position it accordingly.

    In addition, you used an "absolute" on all items positioning on your website. Their position relative to the tag parent for best results.

  • How to automatically center the page in the browser window

    Somewhere along the way, I remember coming across a very simple way to automatically focus your web pages in the browser.  Could someone remind me how it's done.  I think it's an order in one step among the toolbars, located along the upper part of Dreamweaver, but I looked through them and can't find it.  I also tried application center alignment my wrapper div that holds all my content, but who did not do.

    Thank you.

    {#wrapper}
    background: #AEADB2;
    padding: 0px;
    height: 660px;
    Width: 960px;
    position: absolute;
    z-index: 2;
    Auto margin: 0;
    border-style: none;
    Top: 0px;
    text-align: left;
    }

    Thanks again for your help.

    I didn't know you were in the position: absolute on the wrapper div - that is why it is always best to ask for a link - which I did not in this case :-)

    position: absolute;

    For the wrapper div, change this:

    position: relative;

    and it must be centered - he did when I edited the css in Firefox :-)

  • laptop (Dell Inspiron) with Windows 7 Home Premium is now slow to most of the activities - loading of the pages in the browser, etc.

    I heard that after a few years of use, Windows-based computers lose their ability to function. This happened to me before and I bought a new laptop. Now, I think that it happens again. The laptop (Dell Inspiron) with Windows 7 Home Premium is now slow to most of the activities - loading of the pages in the browser, etc... He is also declining my VPN connection occasionally, but also my direct connection is very slow. Latency shows speedtest software provided by the ISP in addition of 250 ms, download speed of 1 MB/s (compared with 8 planned) and 0.05Mbps download. The ISP has corrected this once, but I'm wondering now if it is the computer which is slow rather than on the network because my laptop works well on the same network/router. Is there one solution to this other than another new laptop?

    Jonathan,

    You say that your computer is slow, but all of the examples you give are rather than slow computer operations slow network communications.  To avoid any unnecessary work, check how fast the computer is on the tasks that don't use any network.

    If it works fine for tasks not network then you can concentrate on the problems of network as being the only concern.

    It has also become very slow for no network tasks you should study other causes.  Just as an example: If, like me, you sleep / turn off the computer when you are not using it then defrag will never work, so you can run it manually to make sure that doesn't cause problems.   Describe your symptoms in this thread so that someone can advise on the best course of action.

    In the unlikely case where you must run Dell Factory Image Restore, then the instructions are in your manual PC *.  Before doing this, run Dell Datasafe Local Backup then click on Backup, recovery to create - media allows you to create a bootable USB of the partition that you can use the normal procedure that failing Dell Factory Image Restore [to do this, even if you have already solved your problems so that you could face if the hard drive has failed never completely].

    * Procedure Dell Factory Image Restore [excerpt from the manual for Dell Inspiron 1545]

    1. turn on the computer.

    2 when the Dell logo appears, press several times to access the Advanced Boot Options window.

    Note: If you wait too long and the operating system logo appears, continue to wait until you see the Microsoft Windows desktop; then, shut down your computer and try again.

    3. Select repair your computer.  The System Recovery Options window appears.

    4. Select a keyboard layout and click Next.

    5. to access the recovery options, log in as a local user. To access the command prompt, type administrator in the user name field, and then click OK.

    6. click on Dell Factory Image Restore. The Dell Factory Image Restore welcome screen appears.

    Note: Depending on your configuration, you may need to select Dell, then Dell Factory Image Restore factory tools.

    7. click on next. Data delete screen is displayed.

    Note: If you do not wish to continue Factory Image Restore, click Cancel.

    8. check the box to confirm that you want to continue reformatting the hard drive and restoring the system software to the factory condition, then click Next.  The restore process begins and may take five or more minutes. A message appears when the operating system and the applications installed in the factory have been restored to the State of the plant.

  • cannot preview page in the browser

    Muse has just stopped displaying the page in the browser.  To help to win 10 and Edge as browser.  Any ideas?  Also this new update seems to work very slow compared to the earlier version.  Does anyone else know this?

    For other people with this problem.  The solution was to install a different browser beside IE and Edge.  I installed Chrome.  Then do a preview.  It worked.  After that IE and edge began working again. Good luck.

    Hello, when I go into file > Preview Page in the browser (Ctrl + Shift + E), it shows the error message above. But when I try again, it works. It takes sometimes 2-3 tries, but eventually it works. What's wrong the first time? Thank you.

    Hi Kelly,

    Could you please try some steps proposed in this thread.

    Adobe Muse - Preview failed

    Let me know if you have any question.

  • When I saw the page in the browser, why is it grey padding and how do I get rid of him?

    Screen shot 2014-11-02 at 7.32.07 PM.png

    Why the image is not from edge to edge? Sorry if silly question, I'm new to dream.

    Thank you.

    lay - if you would like the image to fill the space around the content of the page, set the browser on a picture fill, then set it to Stretch Fill fitting. If you want that image to span width, to create a rectangle of width 100% and set the padding on an image in the same way. You can also set a framework for image at 100%.

    100% width icon.

  • Adobe Muse: Why I can not get my page to scroll vertically to display the content of the page in the browser preview?

    Adobe Muse: Why I can not get my page to scroll vertically to display the content of the page in the browser preview?

    I am a novice and I do not talk about the web, so please excuse my ignorance!

    I content on my web pages in Muse design that descends below the visible window, but when I go to preview in browser, it only presents a preview which is visible in my window. Of course, I can press command + /, but I should be able to use my mouse wheel or my scroll bar to see the lowest content. I just can't understand how do! Is this something to do with the positions of Master Page header footer? They all look fine and normal and all the other sites I've done. In ADDITION, I checked non paged area (Mount table), and there is NO hidden content.

    I tried to move my content down (to 'wrong' it to enable vertical scrolling). I tried to move my foot higher than the content, but all useless page.

    Preview in browser = will just not scroll down.

    Hope it's a simple solution. Thanks in advance.

    See you soon,.

    I had the same problem and it took me almost 2 days to find a solution.

    See if that solves your problem (if all goes well it has been resolved since you posted).

    1. in the model Master, click on Page > Page Properties > metadata

    2. remove the small piece of code next to the body tag-{overflow-y: hidden}

    3. click on OK, then get an overview of your pages.

  • Adding to my last question... To keep a background image in the center of the Web page when the browser is shrun

    How do do that?  What is the CSS that makes this work?

    Centers of the background, even when the browser window is smaller or the screen resolution is less, but the content remains stationary in the center of the page: www.signatureweddingsbyjenna.ca

    Hello Jules

    I think that Nancy replied to your question in the other thread.

    I have the site you give as an example, this is the CSS that applies to this image:

    {body
    background - image: URL("page_images/background.jpg");
    bottom-top position: center;
    background-repeat: repeat no.;

    }
    Then of course, it is applied as the context in which theelement, it is placed in the Center and on it and it does not repeat itself.  It is what keeps the central image on the page.  Also helps is that the page is a centered layout.  In the example page that you gave, they have this:
    #page, closure-blocks # {}
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
    Width: 1000px;

    }

    Set the width is important and defining the left/right margin as it means that the browser will allocate the rest of the available space at each margin evently between the two, or put content in the middle.  The only other thing you do is to set the content of the site to the center using
    text-align: center
    It is exlpained herefully.  The only other thing the site has done is put a bit of image information in another element to make it appear that the background image loops in the content.

  • My site in the browser of centering

    Hello.
    I just finished building a Web site with a fluid layout. When I tried in the browser, it is not centered. I tried to add < Center > < / center > tags for the body of the HTML page, but it do not work... so, how can I fix it?

    your preloader will be centered because you are publishing for 100 %x 100%.  If your loaded swf file is not centered in the preloader sound because the charger you use to load is not centered.  Thus, Center your charger.

    allowing fullscreen is irrelevant.

  • When I click on a particular bookmark it opens in a window in the same page of the browser which is open, but on the left side while I open two URL dirfferent

    I'll have to page open in the browser, and when I click on a particular bookmark it always opens in the same browser, but as a second page on the left side of the page. How can I stop this from happening - there is apage that I need to visit often for business and it is very limiting.

    Opening in the sidebar is the default value for the bookmarks created via a link or a button on a Web site.

    You can view the properties of a bookmark using the context menu in the side bar (Ctrl + B; Cmd + B on Mac).

    In the Bookmark Manager (bookmarks > organize bookmarks) you can click on the button more in the lower details pane on the right.

    Make sure "Load this bookmark in the sidebar" is not selected.

  • image of first page to the browser

    Hello

    My AppendFrontPage.VI uses the function in addition to the report cover page to get the other VI cover page. AppendFrontPage.VI creates the new HTML file in a report, then it adds two hyperlinks in the report. The image of the first page is added to the report and after that, the report is saved to the directory to overwrite an existing file. The directory where the HTML file is saved is published as a web server. If the idea is to get the image of first page to web site and implemented to date as all the minutes. In the program, this means that the whole AppendFrontPage.VI is "infinite loop" as well as a timer.

    But here's the problem: the function Append cover page of the report seems to create a temporary image files which are not temporary. The VI replaces the HTML code to each cycle loop, but 'temporary' image file, like this example: LVtemp034555102214, will not be replaced. So the VI creates a new image every time. I do not want the files to plug in my hard drive. Can someone tell me how to replace these files, or if someone has a better way how to train my program?

    I also tried to make the program with node as Front Panel: Get Image method of appeal. It works, but the image will appear in the web browser if I use the IP address pointed to the HTML file in the address bar. It only works if using the address of the file directory. You know, only locally. But the idea is to access the web page besides the computer, the web page has been done since.

    Need help, please

    Thanks in advance,

    Aaalright, I managed to solve this problem on my own.

    If none of the solutions not needed, thank you
