A question of serious writing protection!

I have a USB - stick with 2 NTFS partitions connected to my Dune blu - ray player. After connecting the player to one to my knowledge standard windows installation and copy a few files from the first partition I can no longer write to this partion when I reconnected to the player, WHY? Did windows on the partition?

I never opened the other partition while that connected to the windows machine, so create new files and folders here after reconnection to the drive works fine, but on the 1st partition it says it is write protected?

This is the second time in this case, the last time it was a Vista machine and I solved it this year there by reformatting the partition. But since I was about 90GB on it, it's a bit tedious to have to do. Yet once that windows do on the score, anyone, please?

When your USB is installed on your XP machine, double-click "My Computer" to open an Explorer window and then select "view details->.  Locate your USB in the list and look at the column "Type".  If the Type is 'Removable disc', then the problem is probably that Windows can't handle more than one partition on a ' removable '.  Your symptoms seem to obey the article:

"Resolution of problems for USB drives.

Scroll down to about 3/4 the way down and look for a section called "flash works only the first partition on the drive.

  • How writing protected for the system disk?

    Hello

I wanted to delete some files on the external hard drive. He cannot because of the write protected. So, I had to go to the registry editor. HKeylocalMachine-> system-> CurrentControlSet-> control-> StorageDevicePolicies. That is protected with DataSet '0' means write-enabled. If I change the value "1" is disabled. Having administrator rights, it can activate and disable write protection. But when I allow it, it does not appear the disk write protected when deleting message.

My only concern if someone uses the system, if they accidentally delete the file, it would be a big problem. I ask you please tell me the procedure on how to set writing disc protected by default. Which would be really appreciated if you can tell me the method.

  • Questions of Orbi and protect the nests.

I use Orbi for a few weeks and so far no problem. Until today, when I realized my nest protection (fire alarm) is not connected to the network.
I did a full reset on the nest, I could see the network 'nest' on my list of wifi on my iPhone, but it expires then said I have no network at home. And I do. Given that everything else works.
Technical support nest is quite usuless. They will tell me just that Orbi isn't on the list not supported. (Because they don't know what it is).
    Any ideas?
PS: I am connected through Fios.

I'll answer my own question, as I understand the problem.

For some reason, nest the deletion of your account and resseting it does not work. It will not be conn ct to Orbi. But a factory reset did the trick.

To do a factory reset on nest protect so it does not work with Orbi, just hold the home button until it turns blue. Continue to hold until the NEST begins to tell you it's serial number. Release the button before nest is done reading. You will be asked to redo a complete set, and with the large network of Orbi, it worked like a charm.

We are at the stage of the design of our installation of DR. This particular DB stores retail banking information. Each transaction is important.
So, we thought to have standby mode Maximum protection for our side. We have a good network of low latency. We expect not to have as a standby DB.

  • How to format the USB write protected in windows 7

Hi I want to format a 8 GB hp pen drive. When I format the USB key, it displays a message that's writing protected.can help you in this problem. Please help me I wait for your answer you.

    Thank you

    Hi Chantal,

The question is limited to any particular pen driver?

I suggest trying the steps and check if that helps.

You can remove from the USB flash drive write protection using the following steps:

    a. open the Start menu, in the search bar typeregedit , then press Efriendship. The Registry Editor opens.

    b. navigate to the following location:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies

Note: If theStorageDevicePolicies registry key does not exist, you must create it manually.
    c. highlight the Strategies of storage devicesand then create a new DWORD called (32-bit) aswrite protect.

    d. Double click on the keyrecording in the right window and set the value to 0 inthe value data box , and then press the OK button.

    e. restart the computer and try formatting USB key.

    Note:
this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • First of all, much too darn hard to actually get to a zone forum or contact actually ask a question. Not everyone using FF is a programmer

How should a user like me (been using ff for 7 years and more) 4 different pages to actually get one to ask a question? Seriously, IE has a better access to the support forums. Now on my real problem. I have a lot of seize up / crashing related to flash player 11, and even the latest version of flash (and yes I have uninstalled all older versions) read like a stale version. Not there at - there no way to get ff to actually work simultaneous flashing or am I just doomed to run chrome instead? Wouldn't a hardware problem because it is just ff (same IE works better at this point), but Acer Aspire 7741z with W7 (and yes I know it's an archaic system but specs are still up to current).

Rather a longshot but if you think of the Flash problems can cause this

  • Writing data in the text file or excel spreadsheet

    Hello

I have a silly question to ask questions about the writing of data in a text file or a spreadsheet. I have an example that simulates a sine-swept DAQmx. The output it provides is the (amplitude and phase) frequency response function that is plotted on a graph (see VI) attached. I like to use these data for further analysis by transmitting the data to a text file or a spreadsheet. I've tried a few things, but the thread is broken. I guess I use the sink badly - so I was wondering, can you please advise me on what sink should I use?

Your help would be very appreciated,

    Thank you very much

    REDA

The wire is broken, because you cannot connect this type of data to one of these two functions. The data source type is a table 1 d of the clusters, where each cluster contains two tables. The text file write accepts strings, not clusters. Writing on a file action accepts dynamic data, and while you can convert dynamic data tables, there is no built-in mechanism to convert a table 1 d of the clusters of two matrices.

What you need to do is to convert the data in a format which can be accepted by these functions. Since you want to have a "spreadsheet" file then you should use writing to the spreadsheet file that creates a delimited text file. Since the frequency data would be the same for the plot of the magnitude and phase diagrams, you can have 3 columns: frequency, amplitude, and phase. You can take off the items using Unbundle by name, and then create a table 2D of each element of the cluster. The real question is to know if you want to save the data at each iteration and if you simply add on the file. The attached figure shows write an initial header and then adding just streaming the data.

  • Edge of private VLAN / protected Port

    Hello!

I have question about the Ports protected on Dell Powerconnect 6248.

What I want to achieve - two devices, one connected to the port39 and the other at 40 cannot talk to each other. I assumed that this can be done forwards with function "protected Ports."

    So I created:
    switchport protected name 0 "a."
    protected switchport 1 name 'B '.

    interface ethernet 1/g39
    switchport access vlan 3
    switchport protected 0
    output
    !
    interface ethernet 1/g40
    switchport access vlan 3
    switchport protected 1
    output

Some tests: connect a device with IP 192.168.7.10 (random IP local IP address range) at port39 and another device with IP 192.168.7.11 to port40. When I perform PINGs these devices can ping each other.
What's wrong with my configuration or "Protected Ports" works in a different way?
And why are there groups (in the example, I created A and B)-in manual I can't find any explanation thereon.

Did some testing on that, and we were able to get it to work as you described where they are unable to ping to another. You will need to do is to place the ports in the same group. If 39 and 40 ports will need to be placed on the same group and then they should not be able to communicate with each other.

  • BlackBerry Blackberry Z10 protect and PIN issues

    Hello

I recently lost my Z10 at the time I arrived at a computer to try to locate, it seemed that the battery had been taken out of it. I have a few questions however on blackberry protect and PIN.

So my first question is, if the phone is deleted (I didn't erase my phone using blackberry protect because I don't know the answer to this question) my blackberry protect service be wiped from the phone as well?

My next question is PINS more still Z10 accompany the material they come up with? I want to know that if my friends and I try to add the PIN code, it'll still be a valid PIN / work. I hope that if I am able to show someone the phone and uses it, I'll be able to get the police to work with the service provider in the phone tracking to the bottom/blacklist it. I realize that on past generations of BB PIN was closer, but I read a few other places that there is a way to eliminate even the pine TREES. I wonder if it is true and also if Z10 are less permanent?

Any help would be appreciated, I usually try to go through something to bring the person who took my life more difficult for phones. It is essentially the only thing I can do to make me feel better about the situation.

Also on a side note: in blackberry protect, under manage devices, the State of my still active said Z10. But I can't locate, view messages or make it ring.

Thank you advance to anyone who takes the time to answer!

    Hello again,

I decided to do a little investigation when my curve 9320 I was using before I get my Z10. I supported it upward and wiping it on entering the password wrong 10 times. Then I tried to locate once he dried, turned on and connected to my network. No luck once the phone has been cleared, I couldn't follow it or get in touch with her anyway to protect. I guess that my once I've left is now trying to keep a trace on the PIN...

Pretty disappointed that protect no longer works when the phone is deleted. I was hoping she could be removed only by connecting to your blackberry ID on the phone or the computer to remove it.

  • On the Protection of the system in Windows 8!

    Hello

My question is in the protection of the system in Windows 8, I have C and D lit discs! And when you turn on the drive C drive D is also on both at the same time! These drives supposed to be because I was still able to do the restore of the system both off!

Thank you very much for your help,

    HONEY BEAR 100

Yes, drive C and drive D are always when the computer is turned on. Drive C is your main drive and D drive is often used by the CD/DVD drive in your computer. The only way to 'turn off' the D drive is by disconnecting the data cable and the power cable on the CD/DVD drive. I have no experience with the system restore.

  • Question of function-based Index

    Hello Experts,

I am wondering something simple relating to the funcion according to index. Lets say I have a FBI something like the following.

    CREATE INDEX idx my_fbi ON my_table (substr (nls_lower (my_column),1 25));

Maybe it's a very basic question, but SERIOUSLY, I want to know. My question is, when I use this index, including the rating should I use other side of the equal sign? and WHY?

    SELECT * FROM my_table WHERE substr (nls_lower (my_column),1 25( ) = 'ali';

    OR

    SELECT * FROM my_table WHERE substr (nls_lower (my_column),1 25) = substr (nls_lower ("ali"),1 25( );

Thank you 1 million for your great comments.

    Best regards

using value once the '=' sign would be more effective if you already know the value because in this case Oracle does not need to evaluate the expression, but if the values are not known, then you have to use the expression.

Exact values are more efficient than expressions, especially when the expression is already evaluated and it must be evaluated at run time.

  • Protect both virtual machines with features of ESXI fault tolerant clustered disk

    Hello world

    I read the following:

VMware vSphere with operations management: fault tolerance | United States

The line that interests me is:

"VMware vSphere® fault tolerance (FT) ensures the continued availability of the applications in the event of server failure by creating an instance of live snapshots of a virtual machine that is always up to date with the first virtual machine. In the event of hardware failure, vSphere FT triggers automatically failover - ensure no interruption of service and prevent data loss. »

    Question:

FT can protect both virtual machines that share disks in a cluster configuration? (A cluster SQL instance for example)

FT can protect both virtual machines that share disks in a cluster configuration? (A cluster SQL instance for example)

No, you can't, because there is an incompatibility with FT.
