A standard Small Business SERVER 2003 Server upgrade SBS Server 2003 R2 STandard requires the new CLIENT access licenses?

I got a new server and the server only supports the SBS 2003 R2 and more. I have tried slipstreaming drivers and all that already, without success. I have SBS Server 2003 Standard now with 15 CLIENT access licenses. If I buy a copy of SBS 2003 R2 on ebay to get the installation done, Microsoft requires new or different CLIENT access licenses or licensing of the R2 or 2003 SBS CAL upgrade existing will be sufficient? Any info would be much appreciated!

Thank you

  • T200v server with Windows Small Business SERVER 2003

Just ordered a server TS200v, can I install Windows Small Business SERVER 2003 on this server, or do I have to upgrade to Windows SBS 2008?

    Hello

SBS2003 is not officially supported, I think that 2008 alone is. You can try but might be a problem with some drivers.

  • What is the difference (other than the device/user limit) feature which would prevent me from installing this new software on Small Business Server 2003 R2 SP2, which 'requires' Windows Server 2003 Std Ed & SQL 2005 Std Ed 32bits. ?

Need to install new software to the main application. Software provider said Windows Server 2003 STD. Ed. (32 bits) and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 32-bit Standard Edition, Cumulative Update package 8 for SQL Server 2005 SP 2, MDAC 2.8 or later.  We have Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 Standard Edition (SP2 R2).

Software publisher made a special note that 'Microsoft SQL Server sent as part of Small Business Server is not supported. Please contact us for more information about SQL Server Enterprise Edition. "(contradiction?)

    Hello

I need to access a copy of the Small Business Server 2011 Standard edition since the MSDN site, in order to help one of my clients.

They have SBS 2011 standard installed on their network and I'm going to make some big changes to their network. To do this I need to access the installation (file ISO DVD) on MSDN disc. They have the product key, but not the original disks that were used to install SBS 2011 Std.

  • reinstalled Windows Small Business Server 2003 and Intranet failed during installation

I had to reinstall Small Business Server 2003 and I can't after setting up where Exchange, etc. are installed. It passes through Exchange perfectly and blocks on the Intranet tools on Disc 3. I use the "fixed" CD because the 3 original drive was corrupted when we bought SBS2003. Our version is the original pre-service pack 1. Is there anyway to download a disk image 3 where my disk is damaged? It seems good, no scratches, scratches or dirt.

  • Unable to join 7 Pro to the Small Business SERVER 2003 domain

So far, I was unable to join a new Pro 7 laptop running an existing Small Business SERVER 2003 domain. Whenever I try to use:

http://servername/ConnectComputer  I get a 403 http error and that it points to an IIS issue, but I can't seem to find a way to work around this problem.

Then I tried to go through the system properties and computer name change and join. Then, I get a message "cannot locate the area." I tried to use the FQDM, only the name of the server, the domain name under the extension, and nothing works. At first, I thought it was a DNS problem, but, I ping the name of the server or any other computer by name, with no problems...

Don't know what I'm missing here, but if anyone can shed some light on the situation, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

  • Pix 501 for Small Business SERVER 2003 configuration problems

I am new to cisco equipment. My company recently purchased a firewall of Pix 501 unlimited number of users, it is connected to an internet connection by cable with a dynamic ip address. Internet works fine and so the dhcp server.

I have a Windows 2003 Small Business Server on our network. I need to configure the firewall to forward ports on the SBS server for remote web workplace.

Also about a week ago I lost connectivity to the GUI of PDM via my web browser. Telnet and console work perfectly well.

    I enclose my config file.

Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

FIRT off, you do not have a group-access instruction set for one of your ACL. This means that you have blocked all inbound traffic. You also have your incorrect static instructions. You can start by cleaning your config and enter the correct commands, you should be able to stick to your firewall config mode:

No list will host 192.168.1.1 acl-enabled access 192.168.1.1

no access list acl_outside not allowed tcp any any eq www

No list to access acl - permit gre 192.168.1.1 host 192.168.1.1

  • Behavior of the account profile to prompt when using Windows 7 to connect to a Small Business SERVER 2003 domain

I just got a complaint from someone saying that the guest account takes more time and more time to log the area.

We have a number of XP machines and a couple of Windows 7 machines at the reception (to give the impression that we are a company thinging before - you know the kind).  In any case, everything is controlled by a Small Business SERVER 2003 for the integration of Windows 7 machines is that a bit of a botch as well as group policy is concerned.

The fact is that in my diagnosis, I noticed that the guest account is only given a temporary profile whenever someone connects to use it (it is used for the interviewed work if they need Internet access for some reason any).  Thus, the profile is deleted from the registry and comments folder is removed from C; \Users as soon as they log off.  This was brought to the head when I tried to add a printer to the guest account and could not see all of the printers listed in the AD.

Is this a normal behavior, or does all the weird sounds you?  It also works with XP in this way?

Thanks for any input and comments.

  • Dell PE 1950 and loading of Small Business SERVER 2003

Recently bought a Dell PowerEdge 1950 off Ebay for a training machine. Also bought a few books of MCBS Server 2003 and Small Business Server 2003. I try to install SBS on 1950, but it does not recognize the RAID. I have a USB floppy drive I could load with F6 drivers but can't seem to find just the Perc 5 / I drivers. Site Web of Dell gives only a Setup driver that wants to install the drivers on my laptop when I use it. Could get only the drivers for a PERC 5 / I integrated. My Service tag # maintain the label removed by privacy policy > I tried a server assistant open gale who would have worked very well, but it doesn't have the SBS2003, only Server 2003 list that does not work either. Thanks for your help

You need the "hard drive" (ZPE) version of the driver, and you have to run the EXE file to extract the files before using it:

    http://downloads.Dell.com/FOLDER97889M/10/DELL_MULTI-DEVICE_A07_R211422.exe

In addition, you MUST configure the RAID in the CTRL-R utility until all discs can be seen by the operating system, even with the correct drivers.

You realize that Server 2003 will be end of life in less than a year, right?  Why the push for 2003 training?  You would be better off learning from 2012.

  • User logged on the server over the RDP session - Small Business Server 2011 x 64

We have a Small Business Server 2011 standard x 64.  We have the configuration of the remote desktop on port forwarding in the firewall to allow a user to connect to this server using RDP remote desktop.  This isn't a server terminal server.  No, there are no available Remote Desktop Manager settings.

When the user connects through the RDP application and connects to the server.  If the users session is idle for 15 minutes, the user is connected to the server (not disconnected the RDP session, just to connect to the server).  The user must log into the server every time that happens.  We tried adjusting the Remote Desktop Session Host settings and changed the Session time limits, but this isn't the parameter we are looking for.  We have looked extensively through the default domain group policy and see nothing active to this behavior.  We examined local group policies and studied the session time limits in the user and computer configuration > policies > models Admin > RDP >... session host and it is has anything configured here which could trigger this behavior.

Yet once, it connects the disabled user, not closing the remote session.  We have also examined the user account for this user and looked for resume posting require logon settings (although with SBS, it is not even there to adjust the display settings).  I had partner Microsoft supports focus on this during one hour (he didn't use too much of my time to support) and they have been unable to resolve within an hour.

    Help, please!

    Thank you.
