A static/white noise in Sony Vaio 11.6 Pro "?"

There is a popular audio problem among ultrabooks - white/static noise on the audio output of the headpones.

Plug the headphones - volume up - we hear a ring of windows default sound and right afterwards, you will hear that noise white/static - if you do not - and then your ultrabook has no audio problem.

In any case, this static noise appears only when the windows sounds are enabled, in no other media player - it is fine.

I was wondering just - why is - this?

p.s. just in case, my model # is: SVP11216PXB

Hi darasuum!

Have you tried using other headphones? How bout using headphones you use now on another computer? Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the drivers like what RichO mentioned earlier?

Thank you

  • Noise of static/rattle speaker Sony Vaio 13 Pro

    Hello

These days, I hear a crackling/static annoying noise coming out of my speakers.  It is not constant but happen randomly while listening to music or watch video on any volume (even at around 40%).  I can't hear it when I plug in the headphones so looks like a problem with the internal speakers. Could the speakers were blown and will they replaced under warranty if this is the case?  I bought the laptop in June.

    Thank you.

I figured this out. I went Vaio Control Center and changed the Audio settings for Clear Audio for music. It has been defined to Clear Audio for video. The crackling disappeared. If all goes well, he ain't.

  • Sony Vaio Flip 13A fan problems

I read the comments on the website of Best Buy to the Flip of Sony Vaio 13 to complain about a lot of fan noise. This seems to be almost the perfect machine for me, so I checked than me. I watched 3 units at Best Buy and they all have much more noise than the similar Sony Vaio 14 fan. Is it a manufacturing defect? The sound is not unlike the airflow to me it looks more like a buzz lite as a fin is barely hit something. Has anyone else seen elsewhere? Sony knows anything past with this? If I knew that this would be fixed I would buy the 256Go. model right now.

    Thank you

  • Sony Vaio recall for overheating experienced it yet

My Sony Vaio more heated on a month ago, I called technical support who gave me the download to stop it. It's always hot sometimes, but yesterday my screen went white, then flickered, then empty. Now it works, but they send someone home to watch. Would ask you a new computer, who knows what else he did - thanks-I bought it in January 2010

This issue of replacement is a matter for you to solve betrween Sony and yourself.

    For overheating problems:

Overheating can cause sudden stops of your machine.

If a laptop, make sure that the vents are regularly cleaned of dust, etc..

Also make sure that the laptop is in a well ventilated area, not used on the bedspreads, blankets, etc.

You can buy cans of compressed air to clean computers at most computer stores.

And make sure that the fans are working properly.
