I will be grateful. And sorry for my bad English, I'm Brazilian.

Windows 7 comes with .NET Framework 3.5 installed and may not be removed or reinstalled.

You must click on where it says "English" at the bottom of the page and change the Portuguese Forum, then you can explain the problem more easily.

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.

Basically, it's the Microsoft component that must be installed/running, aka these programs are created so that they require this component (for some programs). Not a big deal

Detailed information can be found here:

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/.NET_Framework

    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/zw4w595w (v = vs. 71) .aspx

If you have these questions - this means that you are a user with the program enough to this component.

For users of the computer - it's free and easy to install.

According to the needs of your programs and your operating system - download the appropriate version of the .NET FrameWork (3, 4, 4.5, etc...) and install it.

If it please let me know if something is not clear and do not hesitate to ask for assistance if you have problems.

    HiSnohomish,

Thank you for visiting Forums answers to Microsoft Windows.

I have some steps that may help you.

    1. download and install Windows Installer CleanUp.

    2. uninstall the .net Framework 2.0.

    3. install the .NET Framework 2.0 thestandalone package and check if it works very well.

Step #2-online now see resolution method 2 in this related KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923100

After the the .NET Framework Cleanup tool (not the Windows Installer Cleanup utility!), reinstall all the versions of the .NET Framework (but the ones you noted in #1 above) manually by using the download links on the page, and then run Windows Update manually to install security updates for same.

NB: If you remove the .NET Framework 3.5 (SP1) by using the tool, reinstall .NET Framework 3.5 will also install .net Framework 2.0 SP2 and 3.0 SP2. Then, Windows Update will offer .NET Framework 3.5 SP1.

IMPORTANT! =>, If you remove the .NET Framework 3.5 (SP1), reinstall your version of .NET Framework in the following order:

    1. the .net framework 3.5, then...
    2 .net framework 1.1, then...
    3 .net framework 1.1 SP1

That's what the Setup log gives me after that windows is unable to install net framework 3.5 sp1. I sure would appreciate it if someone could help me solve this problem. I just bought this pc about 2 months ago and it's the first question that I lived with her. Thank you

To successfully install the update, uninstall all versions of the .NET Framework on the computer, and then reinstall all the versions of the .NET Framework on the computer. You may need to work through more than one of the following methods.

Method 1: Manually remove and reinstall .NET Framework

To remove and reinstall .NET Framework manually, follow these steps:

    1. remove the .NET Framework.

    a. Click Start and then click Control Panel.

    b. double-click Add or remove programs.

    c. Note each version of the .NET Framework is already installed on the computer. Then, uninstall all versions of the .NET Framework.

    d. When you are prompted, restart the computer.

    2. use the Windows Installer CleanUp utility to clean up the State of MSI database for all versions of the .NET Framework.

.      Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. The following file is available for download from the Microsoft Download Center: http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.exe

    a. install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility as an administrator or a user account that is a member of the local Administrators group.

    b. Click Start, point to all programs and then click Windows Installer Cleanup.

    (c) in the Windows Installer CleanUp utility, remove all Windows Installer for the .NET Framework applications.

    3. restart the computer.

    4. download and reinstall all the versions of the .NET Framework that were previously installed on the computer.
To download .NET Framework 3.5, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=333325FD-AE52-4e35-B531-508D977D32A6&displaylang=en (5. When you are prompted, restart the computer.

Note When you have reinstalled all the versions of the .NET Framework, you can use Windows Update to check for the updates of the .NET Framework.

Method 2: Use the .NET Framework automatic cleanup tool

This tool is not designed as a substitute for the standard uninstall procedure. You should try to perform an uninstall by following the steps in method 1, earlier in this article, before using this cleanup tool.

The .NET Framework cleanup tool removes the .NET Framework for you. For more information about how to obtain and use this tool, visit the following MSDN Web site:

    http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2006/05/30/611355.aspx

Note that this cleanup tool deletes shared files and the registry keys that are used by several versions of the .NET Framework. To ensure that all versions of the .NET Framework work correctly, if you run the cleanup tool to remove the .NET Framework, you must first remove all installed versions of the .NET Framework using this cleanup tool. Then, you must reinstall all previously installed versions, starting with the version number the lowest.

Suppose you have the .NET Framework 1.1 and .NET Framework 2.0 installed on your computer, and you plan to use this cleanup tool. In this scenario, you use the cleanup tool to remove the .NET Framework 1.1 first and then use the cleanup tool to remove the .NET Framework 2.0. After you remove the two versions, you reinstall .NET Framework 1.1 and then install the .NET Framework 2.0, in that order.

  • Microsoft. NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1

I'm on Windows Xp service pack 3 on an old computer with a 60 GB hard drive. I want to delete the above program & other similar to give me more space.

Is it safe to do so.
    Hope you can help.

    Barry Longhurst

    Agreed.

Unless we know exactly what applications are installed and what are the versions of MS .NET Frameworks they could use, removing suspicious looking for the 'old' versions of things .NET Frameworks just because they seem to have the numbers of low (such as .NET Framework 1.1 or the .NET Framework 2.0) version can cause things to malfunction.

If the HARD drive is running out of space, I would look elsewhere for ways to clear the air with a few good maintenance/hygiene, or a disc HARD big or some external drive in order to unload the stuff (pictures, photos, songs, music, etc.).

A 60 GB HARD drive is actually quite a bit of room.  This system that I use at the moment only has a 40 GB HARD drive and has been running XP fine for almost a decade.

I have other systems of storage (a septillion bytes) yoctobtyes , but 60 GB should be fine for XP.

Some programs require different versions of the .NET Framework must be installed. Programs that can not find .NET Framework are very likely looking for a version that is not installed.

  • I'm not a developer. I need Net framework

I'm running out of disk space.  NET Framework has been installed several years ago, and I can't determine if nothing else I use needs this program.

The different versions of the .NET Framework (and no, they aren't "versions" in the sense that you can necessarily get rid of those earlier) are installed when you install an application that relies on them.  If you uninstall one of the .NET frameworks, some application relies on it will stop working and complain about the next time that you try to use this application.  Of course, you may have uninstalled the application, so you won't know if you have a problem until you actually have a problem.

In any case, here's my answer canned on a low disk space:

There are a number of things you can do to- temporarily - free up disk space.  The only real solution, however, is to get a bigger internal hard drive.   You can move the data to an external drive, but if it's the data that you use frequently, slower access times may annoy you.  Therefore, I do not recommend that you move your My Documents folder in its entirety on an external drive, but you can certainly do this by following the related instructions.

    • You can run Disk Cleanup (start > run > cleanmgr > OK)
    • You can reduce the size allocated for the restoration of the system to about 1 GB (right click on desktop > properties > system restore > settings)
    • You can disable hibernation (if you don't use it) (right click on an empty spot on the desktop > properties > screen saver > power > Hibernate)
    • You can disable the indexing of the drive, which will also speed up your computer a bit (http://lifehacker.com/031440/turn-off-indexing-and-speed-up-windows-xp)
    • You can reduce the size of your Internet browser cache (depending on the browser that you use)
    • You can remove most of the $NTUninstallKBxxxxxx files $ following the directions here: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Hotfix_backup.htm (read the warnings in the gray box first)
    • See also (which repeat some of the above):

" How to recover disk space on Windows Server 2008 and Windows XP computers? ."

" Forty ways to free disk space ."

But none of these answers you will earn really large amounts of space for very long.  The term solution time is a bigger hard drive.

In the meantime, download and run JDiskReport, that will show you graphically what files take up more space and seem to so indicate what files you can delete or move to an external drive.  If you want to move an application, you will need to uninstall and then reinstall it specifying your external drive as the installation location.  You can not simply move the files.

  • I have Net framework 4 and Capicom 2.0, should I have them both?

I currently have two Net Framework 4.x and Capicom 2.x (root\windows\system32\capicom.dll) when running on a Windows XP Home machine.

What I keep installed Capicom or framework 4 back issues covering Capicom as Capicom for a later version of windows (Vista, for example) use .NET framework instead of Capicom.

    Thank you very much,

    Hi Mumford68,

You may need to use the two .net Framework and CAPICOM 2.0 on Vista system. CAPICOM Version 2 is that the last and the latest version of CAPICOM is officially supported on Windows Vista. Even if .net Framework has replced CAPICOM. You can always keep it on the system in order to run some programmes on CAPICOM.

For more information, you can consult the following article:

    Sohail salvation!

Thank you very much for the help.  It worked!  I tried method 1, but did not find the Windows Installer CleanUp utility .NET Framework files or programs to uninstall.  SO, I went to method 2.  I downloaded the the .NET Framework automatic cleanup tool and he found files for uninstall.  Then I rebooted and used your link and downloaded .NET Framework 1.1.
I then download and install .NET Framework 2.0, which I had originally, but during the installation, I got a message telling me that it was already installed on my PC.  (?)   OK, who am I to argue?  Then, I downloaded and installed .NET Framework 3.5.  This installed as it should.

After that, I went to Windows update and have already told him to search for updates.  Well, he finds the service pack 1 for .NET Framework 1.1 AND there for .NET Framework 3.5 SP1.  It's where he always bombed.  With your help, they both downloaded and installed as they should.  Thank you!

I was surprised by Brent saying 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' so to speak.  These updates must be installed initially.
So, the problem is solved thanks to your help.

    Once again, thank you!

  • NET Framework install error 0 x 80070643

    Hello.

Sorry, I had to open a new question on this problem being the fact that it is many posts related to this error. The reason is the existing posts are pretty old/inactive and I'm not convinced that someone will read the updates.

    I have a problem.

.NET framework does not complete the installation.

I have a local Admin account of limited time for setting software.

I used the installation package for v 4.5.2 and 4.6.1 offline.

The two ends of the same way. (error 0 x 80070643)

I tried to run the installation in safe mode, but I was not possible.

Currently installed is the version 4.5.1.

Microsoft FixIt did not fix anything.

Given zero has not fixed anything.

Uninstall and reinstall the .net Framework is not a solution. (the machine is corporate)

Windows Update does not work because I'm not admin and the LocalAdmin account does not allow access to the network.

  • Net Framework updates...

Download Net Framework new updated... that takes away the old updates or I have to delete them manually?

    Hi Dan,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    • Are you facing any problem installing these updates?

The .NET Framework is a technology that supports the creation and execution of the next generation of applications and XML Web services. The .NET Framework is designed to fulfill the following objectives:

    • To provide a coherent oriented object as the object code programming environment is stored and executed locally, executed locally but distributed on the Internet or run remotely.

    • To provide a code-execution environment which minimizes software deployment and versioning conflicts.

    • To provide a code-execution environment that promotes safe execution of code, including code created by an unknown third party or partial trust.

    • To provide a running code environment that eliminates the problems of performance of scripted or interpreted environments.

    • Do the developer experience consistent across very different types of applications, such as Web applications and Windows-based applications.

    • To build all communication on industry standards to ensure that code based on the .NET Framework can integrate with any other code.

The system automatically updates the previous version of the updates on your PC. All you have to do is to restart the computer if an update is installed so that it can be successfully configured.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

  • try to update MS net framework Asst. is not because he is disabled. Help!

the wizard of Microsoft Net Framework needs an update, but it is disabled with this version of Firefox. How updated?

Not a problem of Firefox support.

    or here:

  • Norton deleted and Microsoft .NET Framework - why security search bar? When these extensions available for Firefox 4? How can I go back to the previous version?

After having downloaded and installed the new Firefox 4.0, I learned 2 extensions could not be installed. A notice would monitor the compatibility and availability and would notify me when those extensions are available. So who's going to happen, I prefer to use Norton Security when searching on the web and don't know what did Microsoft NET Framework, so don't know how important it is.

Symantec needs update their Firefox Add-ons to make them compatible with Firefox 4. They indicated that, for Norton 360, they plan to release a update of Norton 360 to support Firefox 4 in early may - http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web & docurl = 20100720113635EN & ln = en_US

I don't know about the time scale for the updates for other Norton products. Waiting for the update by Symantec, if you want to use Norton modules, you will need to downgrade to Firefox 3.6.

Downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first of all uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option 'remove my Firefox personal data '. If you select this option, it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.

Then you can install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your favorite courses, passwords etc.

I recommend, to avoid possible problems with decommissioning, accessing your profile folder and delete the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Delete these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, check their compatibility and cancel the toolbar customizations.

For more information on how to find your profile folder, see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles

Module additional Microsoft NET framework also supports ClickOnce, I never found any need.

Then go to the Toshiba European page, choose your model of laptop, download the audio driver and unzip the package.
    Reboot the laptop.

After the Win operating system has started, the new device (sound card) should be recognized and the operating system asks for the driver.
Now, you must point to the driver package that you have downloaded from the page and must be reinstalled the driver.

    Check it out!

Make sure you have backups up-to-date of all your personal stuff and know where the product keys etc in case you should reinstall.
