A vOrg name recovery

Is it possible to recover a vOrg vCD by name (string)? From there, I know how to get an OrgVDC, but it would be easier to use, if I could just take in a string and select the objects to vCD in the backend rather than having my end-users try to manually select the Org/OrgVDC.

    I have an old IBM ThinkPad R50e (1834-PTG). When I originally bought in 2003, I created a set of recovery 6 CDs I kept this set in a place course and decided today to recover the laptop factory settings. The problem is that the computer won't start any recovery of 6 CDs (does not start other CD bootable without problem). CDs are not empty and contains a directory named "RECOVERY" with a bunch of files that it contains.

    I tried to use specify the CD-ROM drive as first boot device, to use F12 to specify the device, nothing helps.

    How can I use these CD?

    I found a ghost image, which is the result of a whole new R51. I'll be able to use it to recover my system? Will be the key of Windows that came with my computer work with this image?

    Well, it turns out that there was another drive (surprise) the names "Recovery boot CD. Now, the recovery process begins without any problem.

    There is no available vista download

    and as electronic frys manufactures the computer and you provided with your vista operating system it is their responsibility to provide you with the means to reinstall vista if necessary

    I suggest that you contact them for a vista dvd

    you could also borrow a vista microsoft dvd and use your product key to reinstall the vista version correct of him

    and brand name recovery discs isn't microsoft vista DVD

    I have tried to create relief from database (oracle following guide). The two database are in the same ORACLE_HOME (SID: orcl for primary education, stan to standby). Files for primary education are in/u01/oradata/orcl and standby/u01/oradata/stan.

    I prepared the primary, generated database init.ora for controlfile sleep and.
    After you mount the database before, I checked what file are used.
    Database seems to be ok:

    Because there is no corresponding journal name recovery ' / u01/oradata/orcl/log ". Why don't you use the same value as db_file_name_convert?

    My P7-1026 b came with a hard drive 1 TB, divided into 3 areas: 100 MB for the SYSTEM, 920 + GB for the OS [C:] and 11 + GB for HP_RECOVERY [D:].  I just installed another hard disk of 1 TB and want to change the recovery of D: to something like r drive: and the name of my new DATA drive [D:].  I changed other names of secondary disk before and you still get a warning about programs not working not because they can be set up to search for program segments or data on the old disk designation and not new.  Since it does not change its physical location and recovery of the system is the only program that uses this location, will I have problems the HP_RECOVERY [D:] renaming to HP_RECOVERY [r]?

    If you plan to use the recovery partition to restore your PC in case of need, it will not work if you rename the drive letter.

    You must set your file listener.ora accordingly with respective host names. Say about the live host name, the listener.ora should have the hostname as living and dead server, the listener.ora must have the hostname as dead

  • I used the recovery disk for my windows vista and now my admin name and password do not work. Can I just switch to windows 7 or 8?

    When I turn on my pc it loads windows vista but somehow my name and my password do not work now.  I can go in safe mode, but it won't let me change the name or password.  I wonder if I can just get on with windows 7 or 8 without being able to access my current windows vista?

    You can use the searchByNumber to contactlists. or use a workaround, create a phonecalllog with the number and see if it has a name (the name is provided by the infrastructure of system)

    Yes this is normal - ESX on any volume resigned proceeds to indicate that it was a copy and has a new signature. See the thread next to the advanced option to change it.

    I noticed that if you do not have a DNS entry for the host name, then change the host name to localhost.localdom.

    There is a script/opt/vmware/share/vami/vami_set_hostname, that gets run when starts. Does a search of dns rev for the IP as follows:

    Home w 10 t < ip > eth0

    If DNS does not resolve this request for ip address, it sets the hostname to localhost.localdom

    Make sure that your DNS server can resolve the rev (and fwd) entered for this host name lookup

    If you cannot configure your DNS with the name of host/ipaddr of this unit and still want the name to persist, you can try the following steps (note that only is not supported or validated by VMware)-I've tried it in my test environment and it seems to work

    Once you have set to day/etc/hosts, / etc/hostname, sysconfig to your settings

    CD/opt/vmware/share/vami

    CP vami_set_hostname vami_set_hostname.orig

    Put the following 4 lines in comment in vami_set_hostname (from line 54 of file)

    1. $ CP $HOSTFILE

      1. v grep ' ^ 127.0.0.1 "< $"

      .orig .orig > $HOSTFILE

    1. echo "$127.0.0.1 HN. $DN $HN localhost' > > $HOSTFILE

    1. echo "$FQDN" > $HOSTNAMEFILE

    This will ensure that this script does not overwrite the files whenever the device is restarted.

    I have the following in my camera (I don't use DHCP, but have a static ip address setting)

    a. update the file/etc/hosts as you like

    127.0.0.1 localhost

    < ip > < hostname > < FQDN >

    b. update the file/etc/hostname with the FQDN

    c. update the sysconfig to change the following

    Host name = < host name >

    DOMAINNAME = < domain_name >

    d. update the sysconfig to change the following

    DEVICE = eth0

    BOOTPROTO = none

    ONBOOT = yes

    TYPE = Ethernet

    IPADDR = < ip of the device >

    NETMASK = < netmask for device >

    GATEWAY = < gateway ip addr >

    = < Addr broadcast > BROADCAST
