  I am running Windows XP that is updated to the latest version (which I think could be Service Pack 3, but not positive.) Mozilla Firefox is version 5.0. I tend to use Google as my search engine, so most of the stuff I download comes through sites found through Google, which is also updated.

  At some point in the past (there are maybe a few versions) when I want to download a file from the Internet, the "downloads" window opens and in the window would display the name of the file I got was download or came from download. I think I used to be able to then click on the file name and opens the file (or the Setup file if necessary to launch the new program).   In the Firefox Options / confidentiality be sure 'Remember download history"is checked. To see all the options on this Panel, "Firefox will be" must be set to "use the custom settings for history".

  To find your OS information, on your Windows desktop, right-click on the icon my computer, choose Properties, this little window is info on your operating system.

• Modules window opens but does not work properly

  It started a year ago when I got FF 2.0 and I thought it would be itself correct when I updated to 3.6, but it didn't.

  I have several add-ons that I wanted to delete. When I click on uninstall, they stopped working and the window Add on said that they would be removed to restart FF, but they do not and are still visible after a year or two.

  I have no script and wanted to turn once to see if it interfered with another program. By clicking on the button disable nothing to do, so I have to click on uninstall then it stops working, and then click on disable to activate again.

  If I click on Options onno the script, it crashes FF and I have to use the Task Manager to get out of the FF.

  Is there a way to put this back in working order?
