    Hi Mary,

Did you install all the necessary drivers, firmware and/or software Intellisoft of the mouse and then restart?

You have good batteries in the mouse?

Verify that the mouse is compatible with working computer and your operating system?

Have you checked the mouse icon in the control panel (after all of the above) to a setting to activate?

Contact the vendor of your computer and see if you need to update something else.  When I installed my wireless mouse, it wouldn't work until I updated the touchpad, the firmware drivers and.

  • Wireless Comfort - scrolling Laser mouse does not work

I just bought this product and everything works great except a Horizontal scrolling. Vertical scrolling works very well. When I rock the left or right scroll wheel, nothing happens. I tried it on spreadsheets, wep pages and documents (resized so that there is a horizontal scroll bar on the screen). I use WIN7 64 bit on a ThinkPad Trackpoint and touchpad as both enabled. I disabled them both with no result. I have tried uninstalling the drivers for pointing devices. Right now, I don't know if there is a hardware problem or not... I don't know how to check that the action "to toggle" is detected. Any ideas?

I did some other tests and realized that the Horizontal scrolling WORKS in most applications. It doesn't seem to work in IE9, but I was wrong. Applications Windows (Explorer, Notepad, Wordpad, etc.) all seem to work as well. It turns out it's Mozilla (Firefox, Thunderbird) and OpenOffice (calc, writer...) that are not. I guess we can call this "resolved" as far as HP is concerned.

  • PS/2 mouse stops working on Vista home Premium.

OK, so I bought a computer, an HP with Vista Home Premium, and (despite all the horror stories, I got friends who use Vista) it worked like a charm. Things were a lot until one evening when my mouse (a three buttons not optical with scroll) has stopped working. It was as if he was not yet connected. I rebooted the computer and the mouse worked fine for a minute or two, then it dies again. I tried to check my computer to find errors and he found, and I have never recived any other error that the fact that I have automatic updates turned off, because I'm on the internet by satellite and I am limited to a certain amount of bandwidth. But back to my problem: I tried a USB mouse and it worked, but it made me even more problems. You see, I have set up wireless network, and I use a wireless USB adapter. However, when I started using the USB mouse, it has messed up my network connection. The computer wouldn't connect to the network, even if I wasgiving it the password correct and everything. I tried another card, and same problem, it always says that the password is wrong, and it would not attempt to open a session on the network, comes immediately coming with the error message. Well, after some time of dinking autour with her, I did finally find the mouse by lightning to work. However, now it is down again. I'm sick and tired of having to borrow the mouse USB of my friend, WTF I do? And please don't tell me to buy something, because I'm here to solve a problem, for not giving Microsoft (or someone else) more of my hard earned money.

    Hi Roadkill1992,

    Thank you for your message.

You may want to refrain from downloading pirated software.

Any number of bad things can happen to this activity.

If it does not work on other computers, but not yours, I think you're right about the driver.

You can also try a different PS/2 mouse into this port on your computer to see if it is a failure.

  • L850-1 satellite? -WiFi mouse does not work

    Hello..

first its my first time that I'm questioning my pc and I don't know English very well so I maybe errors... also I'm not an expert in pc so if you try to help me to be so simple that you can please... and I will start the story

I got a L850-1 Satellite? and I got a wireless laptop mouse... I got the laptop 1.5 year with the same mouse and I had no problem...

yesterday the mouse stop working... I thought that maybe his execution of the batteries but this isn't the problem, I check on the internet and saw that maybe it's a problem of the mouse itself or my usb ports have the problem... so I try to find the problem...

I take another one wireless mouse and try it on my laptop... no response with this mouse either... so I'm sure my ports are see the problem... I go to the Device Manager and check it and it say that my usb ports are working fine...

so I try a wired logitech mouse I had... It was the same thing no response... but the Device Manager said that the ports were ok, so I thought lets try these mice for laptop of my father... I tried and no problem...

so I'm positive it's his someong wrong with my usb ports... but I try a usb flash and pleasure was that the usb worked fine...

so we say the SCART Manager a hand usb ports are working well and my usb flash proves that but the other 2 wireless and a wired mouse that working in other pc can't work in my usb ports

you have all the tracks to my problem?

    Hello

    Try this workaround:
    Unplug all external USB devices.
Then go to Device Manager and remove all controllers and USB hubs to the list.
    Reboot the laptop.

Once the system has recognized the USB ports, connect the USB WiFi mouse and check how it works.

Note: turn off the WiFi and BT in your notebook to ensure no interference between the wireless network and mouse WiFi card

  • Tecra A3 - Creative wireless mouse does not work

My Creative wireless mouse does not work while the touchpad is installed.

Even if I turn off the touch pad, the seal of the mouse does not work.

Anyone know how to fix this?

    Thank you
    R.P.

    Hello

On this path, it is not easy to say what the problem is. I guess you have some software installations to your external device. Install it and it should work.

As much I know external mouse functionality does not depend on the touchpad settings.

  • MS point 5000 laser wireless mouse does not work, but scrolling and magnifying glass works

My point of 5000 MS wireless laser mouse does not work, but work wheel Magnifier button and scroll.  What could cause this problem?  I there something wrong with the mouse or something should be cleaned?  This is the first question I had after 3 years of use.

I have not any hardware or software changes, and the problem is constant, not specific to any application.

I restored my system to my latest backup when the mouse was working, but it has not solved the problem.  The software update has not solved the problem.

I installed a different mouse, which works very well. The wireless mouse does not work on another system, I assume that it's broken and I will replace it.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

  • 3480CT Accupoint mouse does not work

I just bought this laptop for use at home as a small portable computer which can be connected to our wireless network and can be used anywhere around the House easily.

In any case, I have and the accupoint mouse does not work, any more than the mouse buttons. The person I bought said he thinks its because the correct driver is not installed.

I would really appreciate if anyone can help.

    Thanks Mark

    Hi Mark,

I see that the Web Site of Toshiba UK does not list the reader pionting device for your laptop model. So I assume that it should use the standard version of Windows XP.

Check in for your pointing device Device Manager to see if it is showing up with errors. Also, you should be able to run a troubleshooter for it and perhaps also a calibration tool. (You may need to move around with the arrow keys or tab).

If all else fails, you can try to recover your system with the recovery CD and that the pointer is still not working properly, then this would indicate a hardware fault.

    Kind regards

  • My wireless mouse stop working

My wireless mouse stop working... any suggestions? I put a new battery in it and it still does not work?

    Hi Glenna,

Try a classic USB mouse to confirm that this isn't your system programs related to the mouse.

Try using different USB ports in order to check that it is not a problem with that specific port.

Try the mouse wireless on another computer to see if she's working.  That should help tell if the problem is with the mouse or with the computer.

If it came with the software, firmware and drivers, try to reboot to see if that solves the problem.

If she just started recently, try a system restore to a point in time before that the problem started.  If you use Windows 7, see:http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html. If you are using Vista, see:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/. If you are using XP, see:http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial56.html.

If the mouse doesn't work no matter what you try (on any computer), then chances are it is defective and must be replaced.  If it works on other computers, but not on this computer, then further efforts will be necessary to try to track down the problem.  If the above does not resolve the problem, after return with the results of what you have tried and what version of Windows are you using and the manufacturer, brand and model number accurate and complete of the wireless mouse.  Then this thread will probably be moved to where it should be (this is for feeback on the forums, the issues not techniques on mouse problems) and the people in this forum will also offer assistance.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • My mouse does not work on a game

I got the sidki and my mouse does not work on the game. How I've implemented so it will work or is there a way I can use a Xbox 360 controller

    thomaswecker,
We will need more information to help you with this issue.  What is the game?  What version of Vista are you using?  Is the USB mouse or wireless?  With respect to the use of the x-box360 controller, it depends on the game.  All the instructions for implementing any type of input device, be it a mouse or a game controller, should be included in the games instructions.

Let us know this information so that we can be of further assistance.
