    Hello Expert, I'm trying to migrate the contents of the AAU 10 g for 11 g center web.

    I'm using CMU (Configuration of Migration utility) to create configuration set (I selected this group of security IE, roles, metadata, etc.).

    After generating the bundle with success. I am trying to download the bundle on 11 g.

    1 downloaded the bundle (with option to create the model and cover)

    2. after preview clicked on import.

    I'm seeing error in the screen below...

    "Import"xCustomMetadatafield"from"docmetadef"

    Information on export not found "xCustomMetadatafield"

    I see this type of errors for all of the custom metadata fields. But I don't see any other information (Group of security, roles), types of content has migrated successfully.

    I'm missing all as follows to migrate metadata or importing to group fields?

    Same steps, I followed the migration of content of 11.1.1.5 to 11.1.1.8, I have not had any problems this time.

    Thank you for helping me here.

    This looks like a problem with the CMU to 10g. You are on the latest patch for 10g or the latest version for CMU component - which could have patches to these emissions. Alternatively, if the failures are less create them manually on the instance of WCC.

  • OBIEE 11G: security when migrating to 10 G problem

    Hi all

    I've just migrated from OBIEE 10 G to OBIEE 11.1.1.5 on a windows platform. I have configured my LDAP and you can see all of my users Active Directory in the weblogic console. I set up the BISystemUser on our Active Directory as well as in the tool of the EM. I initially could connect as long as user "weblogic" but have no administrative rights (couldn't see the Administator link in analytics), but I found that if I connected directly in the catalogue group of analytical management area and BIAdministrator in the Presentation Server Administrator group rights added then that would give me the Admin rights for the user "weblogic.

    My question is:
    After the 10G migration why I am I always saw all my groups of 10G catalog such as presentation server administrators? I do not see these users in Enterprise Manager, and I don't see how I can manage these groups to 11G. I would want my 11G installation not having any ideas 10G security but don't know if I can simply delete these former groups through the Director of Analytics link since I had to add the BIAdministrator group for the Presentation Server Administrator group.

    Everyone knows about this problem? Any thoughts on how I can clean it up to finish my migration?
    Thank you
    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,

    Oracle is providing backward compatibility of the groups of catalog for customers who are upgrading to 10g and 11g, but intend depricating them in the near future. So what you see in the section catalogue groups is valid and are not transferred to the application roles that's why you see not in enterprise manager.

    So the flow goes like this: user > groups > roles. You also have your catalog in OBIEE version.5 groups to manage your security at the object level.

    At this point, its really your decision to get rid of the groups catalogue (if you are using the version 10g for object-level security) and create respective application roles and manager your object level security data and their use.

    Thank you
    -Laurence.

  • Migrate SQLServer2008 to Oracle11g

    I want to migrate counters SQLServer2008 to Oracle11g (on Windows7 Prof), hopefully a precursor of migration more.

    It's the first time and I followed the instructions of Oracle here:

    Migrating from a server of Microsoft SQL to Oracle Database 11g database

    Migration seems to be successful, even if it was an a 2005.ocp.

    But towards the end, step 5 of the "running the Script to create the Oracle Object Database", I can't create a new connection for the user dbo_Northwind according to the instruction

    Developer SQL throws this error msg:

    Status: Failure-Test failed: ORA - 01017:invalid name of user and password. logon denied.

    I think that I have to create the new user first, then the connection?

    I like to keep this thread alive for many more follow on questions because I really want to get closer and familiar with the database migration tool.

    Thank you, Gary.

    Here's what I did to work around:

    -connect to sqlplus and connect as sysdba;

    -unlock the account (dbo_Northwind has been locked for some reason).

    -change user identified by

    Then he worked and all objects of database migrate across Oracle11g.

  • AIX to Linux migration path

    Hi Hussein.

    I want to migrate our form of 11i EBS AIX OEL.
    Can you give me Notes on how to do this?

    Source:
    AIX = 5.3
    DB = 10.2.4.0
    EBS = 11.5.10.2

    Target:
    OEL = 5.8 or 6.3 (x 86 or x86_64?)
    DB = 10.2.0.4 or do I put?
    EBS = 11.5.10.2 (us improve not now)

    Note: 238276.1 - migration to Linux with the version of Oracle Applications 11i
    Note: 362205.1 - process of Import/Export for Instances of database Oracle Applications Release 11i with Oracle Database 10g Release2
    Note: 557738.1 - process of Import/Export for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i with Oracle Database 11g Release1 or 2

    My Questions are
    1. can you 11i migrate OEL 6.3?
    2. can you 11i migrate OEL in x86_64 version?
    3. can you 11i migrate to other linux(RedHat/CentOS)?
    4 What Tier(App/DB) migrate first?
    5. can I migrate DB (10.2.0.4) DB (11.2.0.3) in the target directly, or I have to migrate to the same version of db, then upgrade to 11.2.0.3?
    6 should. what I do?

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Nick,

    I want to migrate our form of 11i EBS AIX OEL.
    Can you give me Notes on how to do this?

    I see that you already have the docs :)

    Source:
    AIX = 5.3
    DB = 10.2.4.0
    EBS = 11.5.10.2

    Target:
    OEL = 5.8 or 6.3 (x 86 or x86_64?)
    DB = 10.2.0.4 or do I put?
    EBS = 11.5.10.2 (us improve not now)

    Note: 362205.1 - process of Import/Export for Instances of database Oracle Applications Release 11i with Oracle Database 10g Release2
    Note: 557738.1 - process of Import/Export for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i with Oracle Database 11g Release1 or 2

    My Questions are
    1. can you 11i migrate OEL 6.3?

    Oracle EBS is not certified on OEL 6.x

    2. can you 11i migrate OEL in x86_64 version?

    Yes for the database layer node, but not for the application tier node which must stay on 32 bits - frequently asked Questions: Oracle E-Business Suite Support on x 86-64 [343917.1 ID]

    3. can you 11i migrate to other linux(RedHat/CentOS)?

    Yes for Redhat - please check the Certification Matrix in the site Web of MOS.

    4 What Tier(App/DB) migrate first?

    Or the other. I recommend the crux of layer of database (10g, and 11g import export) migration.

    5. can I migrate DB (10.2.0.4) DB (11.2.0.3) in the target directly, or I have to migrate to the same version of db, then upgrade to 11.2.0.3?

    You can migrate to 10g and 11g

    6 should. what I do?

    Note: 238276.1 - migration to Linux with the version of Oracle Applications 11i
    Note: 557738.1 - process of Import/Export for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i with Oracle Database 11g Release1 or 2

  • Page does not, while configuring the ADF security

    Hello world

    I use Jdeveloper 12 c, and my problem is stated as:

    I developed an application in jdeveloper 11g, then I migrated it to 12 c. He was executed successfully on my own laptop. Can I send it to my client, when the client tried to run on integrated WLS, the Index.jsf (first page to run) is stuck. When he removed the ADF security configuration it run correctly. But once again, once set up, he gave the same problem means Index.jsf gets stuck and tries to reload and reload and reload, but nothing happens.

    What kind of security is implemented in the server that falls out?

    There are a lot of

    <[Security:090739]The sql="" statement="" for="" sqladdmembertogroup="" does="" not="" appear="" to="" be="" correct="">

    way of errors before starting the application to deploy.

    So, I see spaces in the path to the installed jdev. This can cause all sorts of trouble.

  • Migrate the contents of the AAU 10 g at the University Complutense of MADRID 11 g

    Hello

    I'm a newbie in the Complutense University of MADRID and is involved in an internal project as a consultant. For the moment, I am facing following 2 questions:

    1. How can import the structure of UCM 10 records g at the University Complutense of MADRID 11 g (11.1.1.5.0)? Is there an automated way to do this?
    2. How can migrate the contents of the AAU 10 g at the University Complutense of MADRID 11 g (11.1.1.5.0)? Is there an automated in this way?

    Can you please suggest any documentation on above or would be happy if you could share your knowledge about it. Can you tell me if there are traps or how to do the above, I must avoid.

    I googled for hours to find info on the issue of migration. I found this document:
    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E22203_01/ doc.31 /e20664/chapter_13.htm

    and this thread:
    Data migration from ucm10gR3 to ecm 11 GR 1 material: 11.1.1.5.0

    I need a more progressive direction.

    Appreciate all the help I can get :)

    Hello

    These are the 2 sql queries that you must run on schema UCM to be able to use the Stand Alone on UCM 11 g cmdlets:

    update users set dpasswordencoding = "where dname as 'sysadmin ';

    update users set dpassword = "idc" where dname like 'sysadmin ';

    After this connection for applets on ucm 11g.

  • Rights of access to the BI Publisher 10g and 11g migrate reports

    Hi all

    I've migrated BI Publisher reports in 10G in the middle of 11 G environment. I installed both applications in local machine, to carry out this activity. Post, I moved a folder containing few reports (.xdo and .xdm) in OBIEE 11g environment installed in Linux environment.

    Report units are visible, but .xdo cannot be performed. I get the error on execution it below.

    "oracle.xdo.servlet.CreateException: oracle.xdo.servlet.CreateException: oracle.xdo.servlet.CreateException: oracle.xdo.servlet.CreateException: definition of data model not found: / report of Performance of the Bank-like of.xdm". "

    In addition, I don't have the access rights to change the datamodel (xdm) and report (xdo)

    I'm stuck with this problem for a few days and could not get much help from the available discussions.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

    I was able to retain the rights administrative everything on the new catalogue by doing the steps below

    1 run a fresh upgrade with destination as a separate folder (D:/dest) and not selecting "{BI_DOMAIN}... repository/bi_publisher /'."

    2 created a new catalog of presentation by specifying the path of the catalog in em ' in a new folder.

    3. copy the units OBI EE (file and files problemcs), upgraded in the shared folder in the folder newly created by Ms.

    4. go in BI Publisher 11 g-> Administration. Navigate to the directory of BI Publisher and point to the destination folder would be: / dest' and run 'Upload to the BI presentation catalog.

    5. now, all units are available in a shared folder with full rights for the user "weblogic.

  • Migration of database 11g (11.2.0.1) to 12 c (12.1.0.2)

    Hello

    I have two RAC environment of node on windows 2008 R2 with Oracle 11 g (11.2.0.1) 64. At the same time I built another environment of 12 c (12.1.0.2) software install only on windows 2012 64-bit using ASM. It is once again two-node RAC

    I want to migrate the database 11g (size about 400GB) on the 12 c environment.

    My preference is to use RMAN. Could you get it someone pls let me know what is the best way to perform this migration.

    Note: I don't do this in the Test environment so no issue on time.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Concerning

    Hello

    The minimum version required to upgrade to 12 c is 11.2.0.2.0

    The version of your database is 11.2.0.1, so first you must upgrade to 11.2.0.2 or later and then update can be performed.

    This requirement applies to the backup rman as well.

    We do not have this restriction with datapump

    You can also check for TTS, Golden gate methods.

    Thank you

  • Web Service security settings of 10g and 11g Migration

    We will migrate a complete Application of the ADF from 10g to 11g. We got all this work, but the web services. It seems that we learned the work of web services, but the security settings for the web service are very different and I have difficulties to make them work.

    For example, we have a customer's web service that has a X 509 certificate for authentication. We use the WSS 1.0 safety and I chose in the Configuration of the customer strategy: "oracle/wss10_x509_token_with_message_protection_client_policy and in 'Select credentials', I use https identification information."

    However, I get the following error when I try to use the web service pointing to the customer: Note: I also detached the client and deleted the credentials and get a SIMILAR error.

    < javax.xml.ws.soap.SOAPFaultException: WS-Security treat failure: FAULT CODE: InvalidSecurity MESSAGE of ERROR: header missing WS Security in the SOAP message >

    < to com.sun.xml.ws.fault.SOAP11Fault.getProtocolException(SOAP11Fault.java:197) >

    < to com.sun.xml.ws.fault.SOAPFaultBuilder.createException(SOAPFaultBuilder.java:122) >

    < to com.sun.xml.ws.client.sei.SyncMethodHandler.invoke(SyncMethodHandler.java:125) >

    < to com.sun.xml.ws.client.sei.SyncMethodHandler.invoke(SyncMethodHandler.java:95) >

    < to com.sun.xml.ws.client.sei.SEIStub.invoke(SEIStub.java:136) >

    So any that I have attached a customer or have not a joint, I get the same error. An idea that I am wrong?

    Thank you

    Okay, figured it out. I had to use ClientConstants to set the web strategy and set the OWSM political Director to use the appropriate strategy.

    The ClientConstants code is:

    SecurityPoliciesFeature = securityFeatures

    New SecurityPoliciesFeature (new String() {"oracle/wss10_x509_token"});

    In InboundOutbound_Service = new InboundOutbound_Service();

    InboundOutbound svc = in.getInboundOutboundPort (securityFeatures);

    String urlLn = this.getURL ('url');

    BindingProvider bp = svc (BindingProvider);

    Card reqContext = bp.getRequestContext ();

    reqContext.put (BindingProvider.ENDPOINT_ADDRESS_PROPERTY, urlLn);

    reqContext.put (ClientConstants.WSSEC_KEYSTORE_TYPE, "JKS");

    reqContext.put (ClientConstants.WSSEC_KEYSTORE_LOCATION, "web.jks");

    reqContext.put (ClientConstants.WSSEC_KEYSTORE_PASSWORD, "pw");

    reqContext.put (ClientConstants.WSSEC_ENC_KEY_ALIAS, "keyalias");

    reqContext.put (ClientConstants.WSSEC_ENC_KEY_PASSWORD, "pw");

    reqContext.put (ClientConstants.WSSEC_SIG_KEY_ALIAS, "keyalias");

    reqContext.put (ClientConstants.WSSEC_SIG_KEY_PASSWORD, "pw");

    reqContext.put (ClientConstants.WSSEC_RECIPIENT_KEY_ALIAS, "serveralias");

  • Scheduler quartz 1.6 does not work after migration application Java of 10g and 11g

    I used the Task Scheduler quartz 1.6 with Java application built in technology from 10g to Oracle using Jdeveloper 10 g as IDE.

    The application works fine with the mentioned technology. But after the migration of the application of technology 11g quartz scheduler does not work anymore. The Weblogic Server allows you to deploy this technology migrated is Weblogic server 10.3

    Finally, the issue is resolved.

    The problem is resolved after you delete the following jar files in my view-controller project: Api .jar-Trinity and the Trinity - impl.jar

  • OBIEE 11g migration: weblogic user cannot open a session in analytics

    Hello

    We simply migrate obiee 11g successfully from one server to another server.

    but now after the migration we are not able to log into the analytical page with weblogic user.

    This weblogic user is able to connect to the Console and EM, but not in the analytical page.

    Any user can connect to the console, EM and analytics page.

    so far,.

    We tried trobleshooting with the following links,

    1. Weblogic

    2. also tried with deleting user weblogic and yet once created weblogic.

    but no luck.

    Note: I noticed when we migrated the users and roles from one server to another, then the user weblogic worked very well, could even connect to the Analytics page.

    But as soon as we have migrated and deployed RPD, only since then, while we are facing this problem.

    have idea on this.

    TIA

    Refresh GUID will help u here

  • Migration of 11g of one env to OBIEE

    Hi all

    I'm migrating obiee from one server to another server.

    version is obiee 11.1.1.7

    so far I've migrated user and then of RPD and Catalog Security.

    Migration of 11g of one env to OBIEE

    but I get the error message after migration as

    1. cannot connect to Analytics with weblogic user id

    2. impossible to RPD open online with weblogic user id mode.

    3 and get the following error when opening dashboard and reports.

    AMT: could not resolve the connect identifier specified in the call to the OIC OCIServerAttach. [nQSError: 17014] Cannot connect to the Oracle database. (HY000)

    So I have a question while I am troubleshooting these errors.

    so we must migrate us the database schema / clone of database from one server to another server?

    TIA

    Yes you have clone database before starting the migration process.

    Thank you

  • migration of multiple projects of bpel 10g composite single 11g.

    Hi all
    I'm about to migrate our projects of 10 GB BPEL to 11 g.
    I found that on 10g, we have several folders (around 15) for every BPEL process.
    each folder has its own .jpr file build.xml, his build properties file, subfolder containing BPEL *. The BPEL, *.wsdl *.xsd files file.

    I understand that on 11g a unique composite.xml is necessary.

    Could if it you please let me know if my interpretation below is correct about the migration process?

    1. each project must be migrated separately by opening the *.jpr on Jdeveloper and go through the migration wizard.
    2. assuming that all errors in step above are fixed, combine multiple projects in a composite only scripted ant as follows.
    Ant f ORACLE_HOME/bin/ant-sca-upgrade.xml
    -Dsource 'sourceDir1:sourceDir2 '.
    TargetDir - Dtarget
    App_name - DappName
    This will create a FILE of SAR.

    3 compile the app_name. SAR file using Ant-FCC - compiles .xml
    4 deploy the SAR using the Ant-sca - deploy.xml or weblogic console > transfers > install.

    Thank you

    1. each project must be migrated separately by opening the *.jpr on Jdeveloper and go through the migration wizard.

    Yes

    2. get files from compilation of 11G_Jdeveloper_Root\jdeveloper\bin

    Yes

    3. composite of soa using the package ant - sca - package.xml, this will create the file sar

    Yes, you can also create a file of sar with jdeveloper

    4. use ant - sca - deploy.xml to deploy the file on the server OR weblogic console sar > deployments > install.

    not from the weblogic console, it should be the em console.

    in step 3, when we package composite SOA, can we package several processes in a SAR or I need to create 15 different SARS?

    Deploy all the different process like 15 SARS.

    If multiple SAR is created in step 4, should I deploy them in a particular order?

    There is a process that depends on other processes to follow the order i.e. deploy first the charging process.

    Otherwise just deployed in any order

  • Migrate a schema from oracle 8i to 11g

    Hello

    I am struggling to find all the obligation to upgrade a pattern running on oracle 8i db installed on a sparc Server non-global solaris 8 box to an oracle 11 g on solaris 10 x 86 non-global zone.

    There are changes in the architecture.

    I know, it's:

    export using utiliy exp of oracle 8i

    import in oracle 11g utility exp 11 g if it is still available.

    I only need to migrate two patterns respectively 1 GB and 2 GB

    Here are the patterns and sizes:

    Total

    Schema schema name size (MB)

    ------------- ----------

    CLAIMS 2851.07031

    ARCCLAIMS 1290.9375

    Can you someone tell me what is the best way to do... That's what I think I should do.

    I need to adjust the NLS_Lang to the source db character set both at the source and target machine. the two server do not have the same character set. Oracle 8i has WE8ISO8859P1 and oracle 11g a WE8MSWIN1252

    Perform then run the catsql.exp script

    perform the exp

    exp sys / * owner = CLAIMS leader = CLAIMS.dmp

    for PMI do I have to create the user, or it will be automatically created should manually create the user to amd timespaces?

    What is the command to be used to import?

    Thank you.

    Mario

    Hello

    Old style exp/imp does not users/tablespace create unless you do a full complete exp/imp - which you don't want to.

    You must pre-create the tablespaces/profiles/users relevant to your 2 users prior to importation.
