  I don't think I understand what you are trying to accomplish. You can connect a button on the front of the smart camera and trigger each acquisition. In VBAI check the triggered Acquisition under the tab trigger for the step to acquire Image (smart camera).

  Your smart camera is hooked up to a monitor? Is there something that you must do in LabVIEW that you can't do in VBAI about the step of user input?

• Create an exe to LAUNCH AN INSPECTION in VBAI

  Good day again NI Experts.

  I would like to ask for a solution to a small problem of mine in VBAI. By default, after you have saved a project VBAI, a file EXE will create for this project. When we re - open the EXE file, we will be directed straight to mode 'Configure the control' of this program. What I need now is to create an EXE file to mode "Run the Inspection" of this program so that when our client opens the application, he or she will be able to run the inspection immediately. Of course we do not want our client to have access to the configuration of the program. Please also note that we do not have software to run if there is VBAI. Any help would be much appreciated.   I don't know what you set on EXE files created in VBAI. You're talking about a. File VBAI?

  If you want VBAI to run automatically in the mode of inspection you should go to the configuration Interface, and then select the Tools/Options menu.

  In the startup section, check 'Start Inspection when launched' and select which VBAI inspection must be run at startup.

  After that, restart VBAI will automatically put it into "run mode of inspection.

• Vision Inspection Builder 3.6 calibrate Image does not work

  I use a camera, NI 1722, with the Vision Builder AI 3.6 software to read 2D data matrix code.

  Unfortunatlly the camera can be mounted directly on the code, its at an angle of about 20 °.

  The step of "Reading data matrix Code" works very well, however we don't always not the classification "nonuniformity Axial.

  I want to calibrate the image to adjust the view. To do this, I find the 4 edges of my matrix Code, then 4 intersections of the edges (ie the corners)

  I know that my matrix code is a square 9x9mm. So, I use the Image step calibrate to account for this.

  It works very well in "Setup" Mode, when I run individual State.

  However when I run the Inspection, step to calibrate Image still fails and is not calibrate the image.

  Please find enclosed pictures of file and the example of the vbai.

  After trying many different things, I later upgraded to VB AI 2009 SP1

  Yet once after many different configuration etc, I finally solved the problem.

  (1) with VB AI 2009, if you apply calibtation to a step to acquire images, it will always fail!

  I don't know why this option is there (maybe it works with different cameras)

  (2) you must use "Select an Image" step between steps acquire Image and the Image calibrate.

  Calibrate the Image does not seem to use the last Image acquired in the State

  I'm working on a system of continuous inspection of nonwoven. I was thinking of using the Texture palette that seems to work well for my application. However when playing manual Concepts of vision, I found a sentence which confuses me a bit: "detection of Texture defects is not designed for continuous strip or surface inspection applications." If anyone can comment on that? What could be the problem?

  I'm trying to measure the diameters of holes 80 in 1 second (a frame at a time).  I know I can get a camera I can trigger that fast, but what about the time of the inspection.  On my laptop, a Toshiba with a Centrino 1.76 Mhz processor, just the function of "Game Plan" takes 40mSec (using the cue point function).

  My question is: How can I calculate what processor I need to simply reduce the 'Plan of Match' function to 10mSec?

  "Will be a"core i3"or core i5 ' do the job?

• HP F4480: HP F4480 in the attic about 4 years: is - this can be used?

  I kept my HP F4480 in my attic for about 4 years.  Recently, I went out of storage and connected to my computer.  Once Windows loaded drivers, I tried to scan a document, which worked well.  Then I tried to print a document both a color and black and white.  The paper went through fine, but there is any impression on them.  While they inspected the ink cartridges, I found the black to have wet ink on it while the color we showed not ink.  I struck out of black ink and reinsert the cartridges.  Once more, the copy feature seems to work, but nothing was printed on paper.

  I think my next step is to buy either new ink or a new printer.  What is the probability that the new ink will solve my problem or is it more likely to be a waste of money?

  I appreciate your excellent advice.  Although the printer cartridges have been until now is to keep, they provisioned enough for giving me the confidence that they were in fact the problem.  I put in new cartridges for printers that print LARGE.  Thank you

• Question about ASA5510 with AIP10

  I installed ASA5510-AIP10 with on our customer site. But I have 2 problems.

  First of all, I don't see no giga0/1(backplane interface) AIP10 traffic.

  Can I configure ASA5510 configuration? I already configured configuration associated AIP10 group virtual sensor and interface of remote sensing. Unfortunately, I can not all traffic.

  When I entered 'show int gi0/1' 10 AIP, it displays a number of the traffic count is zero.

  Secondly, AIP10 cannot do update of signature on automatic ftp server. When I inspected the package through tool Ethereal, disconnected AIP10 Server ftp after ftp 'LIST' command session is submitted to the ftp server. Maybe, I think that AIP10 didn't present 'Get sig.pkg' after her present "LIST".

  What should I do? Is - this hardware problem of the AIP? I would like to know about the above.

  I use Virtual Center of 64-bit version 5.3.1.4 defense and I'm trying to understand this option under the access control strategy - Advanced tab. What I try to do, is to allow the loss less than policy changes, at the moment with this option enabled, there are a few seconds interruption of network traffic when the policy is applied. I use inline module of firepower on an ASA5525 by the way. It seems natural that there should be an interruption while the configuration is reloaded on an online service, but the manual is not very clear about the box.

  Let me add in it.

  Power module of fire ASA because of changes in policy or any other reason causing snort recharge. Feature 'feature inspect during the policy applies"does not work for the SAA. The reason behind this is the architectural difference between the devices of firepower (material of the series 7000 and 8000) and modules ASA firepower. In devices, there is a charging wire that supports policy changes without affecting the current treatment of traffic.

  Old behavior (5.4.0.4, 5.4.1.3 and before)

  ASA in rescue mode is based on the heartbeat sensor dplane response to work around the packages. But what snort process restarts due to policy change or driver of any other ground of the sensor responds to the heartbeat ASA and ASA never understands if Snort processes are declining. In this case, ASA continue to send packets to sensor (with Snort down) as well as the packages are removed causing a breakdown of small network size.

  Ill CSCuv91730 (for ASA) and CSCuu68273 (firearms) were introduced to solve this problem.

  New behavior (5.4.0.5, 5.4.1.4 and later versions)

  With the new behaviors introduced ASA will send rescue configuration to sensor backplane header. This information is sent to basic package by the context. ASA expects this sensor to return the package if the flag is set, and even Snort fell. Then, when ASA will receive the same package the snort is down.

  ASA press release fixed side has been published on ORC, but we are still waiting for Sourcefire side fixed (it was fixed, we are waiting for fixed output but I guess a fix is available for this.)

• Application of noob - says the ASA55xx & AIP SSM inspection HTTPS or SSL?

  So far, all I can find on the SAA's Inspection is an Application for the HTTP CONNECT request that transports you into the universe of HTTPS (SSL).  Sellers who can inspect SSL usually boast about and must devote at least a chapter in the User Guide for the management of the certificates and keychains.  Right now, I guess that unless traffic of penetration is from a SSL VPN Client, it won't be much inspection going on.  THX

  The reason why there is not much on the HTTPS inspection is because the device must be when you run man-in-the-middle to be able to inspect encrypted HTTPS traffic. Typically, seller who inspects for HTTPS traffic would have the certificate of the device presented to the user in order to inspect HTTPS, not the end certificate of web server traffic.

  Cisco Ironport WSA both Cisco ScanSafe supports the inspection of HTTPS web traffic for anti-malware, anti-spyware, and web filtering.

  I have a challenge with the IPS module in ASA5520, ASA-SSM-10. When we start a try to connect to Web servers, I get a load of 100% inspection and will slow down the traffic/performance.

  We test with 63000 sessions per minute making a load of: the test-servers (clients) on the web servers of 20,000 Kbps and traffic from servers web-back to the test-servers (clients) 75.000 kbits/sec.

  Can you please advise what to do because we cannot live with this environment only when this is fixed.

  We have not used charge of inspection in order to determine the appropriate sensor performance, instead, we have relied on "percentage of failed package" reported by the sensor. When the sensor gets into trouble, that they will begin to run out of packets for inspection, this causes the sensor wrong determination of the TCP State for some of the connections. This causes the sensor to use more resources than necessary to inspect traffic, leading to lack more packages.

  It is its called the "death spiral" and we try to avoid it as much as possible.

  Cisco has a long and proud history of providing performance numbers 'blue sky' for their products. We used to refresh their numbers of performance of the IPS sensor by half, but they made improvements over the years and now we take only about 1/3 wide of reported values. You can see for yourself with real, live production traffic.

  I'm havn; t found the number of signatures in a meaningful way sensor effect performance unless you touch abnormally difficult or lit a large number or tuned to perform many actions per second.

  I don't understand what they mean by ability, all computers have bluetooth, Bluetooth installed capacity or not?   I went to device for signs of bluetooth Manager, I find nothing, the PPF assistant wireless also shows nothing. I talked to a representative directly through instant messaging, they gave me the Web page to download the drivers.
