Access Enterprise Manager client PC

Hi all
Server: RHEL 5
Oracle: 10.2.0.5

I just installed database oracle Enterprise Manager database control, I can successfully access local server via https://hostname:1158 console EM / em

Now, could I access it from my PC?
I tried to open my browser (IE/Mozilla), type ' https://ip_server:1158 / em ' but it does not work. My browser was unable to establish a connection with the server at < ip_server >: 1158.

What I have to do a specific configuration on EM or was - this partner network?

Thank you
BSS.

Its associated network. Just check if you are able to access the host/port of the PC OEM.

Audit of DOS command:

Telnet ip_server 1158

Also make an entry in hosts (C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts)file for the server and instead of the IP address, use the host name in the URL.

Newbie here so sorry if it's simple.
I have already searched the forums and tried to do what is recommended and still have a problem.

I am running Enterprise 10.2 on a virtual machine from windows XP. It has been working well for some time.
I restarted the VM without stopping the DB. When it has restarted the database is in place and I can run queries using SQLplus. However I can't load all services via a web page, for example. Enterprise Manager, APEX connection... Also, I can't make a connection using SQL Developer. These were all working well before.

I already searched these forums and some people have had similar problems when running 10.2 on a virtual machine and it's the listener who has a problem...
I deleted and reinstalled the listener with Net Configuration Wizard and restarted the DB, but that did not help.

I don't know what you mean by which OS is the owner of the tree of Oracle software. It's a virtual machine with a single user XPMuser.

    Thanks for the help underway...

Maybe it's time that you re-set up DB control.

  • Access Enterprise manager - oracle 11g - windows 2003 - Doctor of password

We have windows 2003 server and we run 2 oracle databases

We were EM properly configured for a database and when we were
trial for the other databases, we met configuration errors and
We were able to sort by performing a search on "google", the solution was "ocijdbc10".
file must be placed in the bin directory. It worked, but we flew upward
by accessing the EM. It does not accept the sys/pwd as sysdba, which I can
    use for the sqlplus session.

Anyone can suggest what would be the cause and the solution or work
    This round.

    Thank you

    Sakap,
I'm not sure of the cause of the error. It should work. On Metalink too, there's nothing that I could find on the subject. But a google search, gave to this thread.

Here, a small workaround is discussed the Sysman password should be the same as Sys and also, he is asked to check that account the Sysman must not be locked. Can you check these options and go back?

  • recommended location for the installation of Enterprise Manager 13 c, my client pc or the database server?

    Hi all

I want to install Oracle enterprise manager 13 c on oracle 12 c Enterprise edition.

What is the recommended way to install EM? install on my client or install on the database server itself?

    Please guide me.

    Thank you.

Really, neither.   If you talk about the broad company EM Cloud Control (12 or 13), it requires adequate resources and must be installed on a server, no cell phones.  Unless you are looking just to play - you can then consult the virtual images available Oracle VM Templates.   It has also not recommended to run it on the same servers that you are monitoring.

How many targets you track / manage with the system?  If it is a unique environment, the Express EM version may be bettter, where you boot agent on the database server and manage most of the functions of the server.   If you have more than one or two databases, Cloud Control is the best, but it requires little equipment. Sizing of information can be found in the docs - https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E63000_01/EMBSC/preinstall_req_hw.htm#EMBSC121

  • The right of way to access the users Page in Enterprise Manager?

Using 11 GR 1 material Enterprise Manager Database Control

I was looking for the instructions in the online help of Enterprise Manager, on how to change a password. The research has about 6 000 hits: big help that was.

I finally found what I was looking for, BUT...

I clicked on an entry in the online help which says "expires. Locking and unlocking accounts database". On this page, there are some very nice step-by-step instructions. Step 3 says "Schema click to display the Sub-page of scheme." It worked as expected. Step 4 says "In the section users and privileges, click on users." I studied this subpage of schema and same process to a search page Firefox and there is no section users and privileges anywhere on the subpage of schema. I could only access the page I was looking for because the word "Users" in the online help page is itself a link to the page I was looking for.

I apologize for the blow of mouth here, but it's really frustrating and...

OK, ' nough said. What I want to really know is how to get to the page of users without having to evade the online help to find a link that will take me to the page of users. Is there a way reasonably self evident to navigate users to Enterprise Manager Database Control?

    Thank you

    Gregory

    Gregory,

Although I'm 11.2 running on my laptop but I have not installed EM top. Can you please confirm that looking for the oracle user password change? If so, there will be a Server tab. In this, you should find a link to the user . From there on, a list of users would come, and you can choose your username. Click Edit and change the password.

That said, I'm not sure if the docs are confusing. In the 2-day DBA guide, I got it immediately.
    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E11882_01/server.112/e10897/users_secure.htm#CHDJEBDG

And from there, I don't think it's hard to do what I understand you want to do. If this isn't the case, please be more specific.

  • Oracle 11g Client and Enterprise Manager

Just need confirmation that the old Java based Enterprise Manager 10g left for always with 11g and there is no installation of 11g client management console (at least I can't find one). And after searching for the ndo son Oracle documentation, it seems that I can install database 11g on my local pc and then have a dbconsole (not the grid control). Please confirm that this dbconsole only points to the specific database that is installed on the same pc, and it cannot be used to manage remotely located 10 or 11 g databases. I'm still in the planning stages for the installation of grid control and want to use the more small enterprise manager - java control. But even once, there no such Oracle 11 g application now? I have to use the grid control to manage multiple databases?

Confirmed. Identical to the installation of the database.

Confirmed. The DB Console is linked to an ORACLE_HOME one HOST for a single INSTANCE. The HOST and the INSTANCE are used in the directory naming (of all stupidity) and the content of the configuration file under the ORACLE_HOME.

Confirmed. Fortunately, the grid control is included in the license database in accordance with the manual of licenses of database, and you can place the grid on a separate machine control. As the Grid control is powered with a single agent for all products (and any other database) on the target host, the grid control puts on a much smaller footprint on a machine of database that even the old console Java.

Note that the grid control of 11g (at least) will tomorrow announce Webcast - check the RTO.

  • Error launching console Oracle enterprise manager

If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (refused) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through a configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.

OS: Windows XP SP 3. Forms 11 g is already installed, for development only.

Unfortunately, you will not be able to use the Enterprise Manager without Agent EM (emagent) console. When installing form 11 g, you will need to make sure that "Enterprise Manager" is enabled. If you install 11 GR 2 forms (11.1.2.1 for example), using the option "Set up for the development" does not Enterprise Manager (that installs the MS Agent). Without the Agent installed EM, you still receive the error 404 - not found error when you try to access the http://hostname.domain:7001 / em.

As it appears that you use forms GR 11, 2, if you run the Configuration Wizard of forms (config.bat or config.sh) and select 'configure for deployment', you will be able to configure Enterprise Manager as well as other services such as Oracle HTTP Server, form & Report Builder, etc. This will allow you to access control of Middleware of Fusion Enterprise Manager to manage your WebLogic servers and environment of forms/States.

  • Deployment of Enterprise Manager

I work for a consulting firm and I have 3 clients, whose none use Enterprise Manager. The method that I use to access their servers is VPN. Question, given that each customer is separated from the other, what is the best way to implement Enterprise Manager on all three sites? Three servers each individual network? Someone else has the experience, try to administer with a variety of clients?

I see that the interfaces are completely different. the console is more like Oracle 9i. I know that the DB control is a web tool, just for Oracle 10 g. My question is in terms of admin, what is the best? Why Oracle has a different tool to manage the database?

The Oracle Enterprise Manager Console is a stand-alone Java client, not a 3-tier as the Console of DB EM product.

The stand-alone Java client has been deprecated in gR 10, 1. Probably because not all features were brought to the DB Console at 3 levels (for example: the Spatial index and the management of the workspace management), Oracle decided to let us use the Java Console as an additional installation on the customer/partner drive. However, it is no longer available to go ahead in 11g.

If you look carefully at the "Console", you won't be that some areas are more functional and it covers all the capabilities of 10g, for example in partitioning and indexing.

  • Someone at - it still deployed Enterprise Manager 2014 R2?

I just upgraded to R2 Enterprise Manager 6.4.3.8 for 2014. I have Java 1.6 to 1.7 day x 45. Also, I went from Sql express to 2008R2 Mssql.

The upgrade went well, but now all my storage disconnect every two minutes and then reconnect. EM logs show this for each:

10/07/14 04:46:28 PMWarningStorage xxxx xxxx Center is low [SN: xxxx]. Primary control to FailedStorageCenter

    Anyone having problems with 2014R2?

One thing I will try tomorrow is re - generate the certificate on storage centers. Reason in is after I upgraded my workstation from 1,6 to 1,7 U45 U45 to accommodate the new client of EM, I could no longer connect to several of my Compellents via a browser. I could only connect to one. After several hours, I realized that the SSL certificate for the one that I could connect had the certificate created with the DNS name. The others I could not, the certificates have been generated with the IP address. Creating new cert via the storage Center by using the DNS name that fixed, and they re-connected in EM yet one more time. Yet they cut every two minutes. I wonder now and will try this tomorrow, is I have just re-generated the CERT with the dns name of ip management. Looking at the wizard again, it seems to dns and IP addresses of controllers as well. Maybe this new EM fails because of that.

Anyway, just curious of other experience with R2? Thank you!

Yes, I hired with co-driver, they believe that it is something with R2 manage less than 6.5 x. R1 SC code is working great for us so :) So I'll stay parked for a while.

  • Oracle Enterprise Manager on Linux level 3?

    Hello

Because I'm on a level 3 of Linux installation, all maintenance are carried out using sqlplus command line in an SSH session.

Is it possible to install Oracle Enterprise Manager on say a Windows machine in the same network to manage the Oracle linux instances?

Is it possible to use Oracle Enterprise Manager 11 g Standard Edition? If this is not the case, a license will make this possible?

11g OEM (dbcontrol or grid control if) is a web-based application.  It doesn't matter what level your Linux race is on.  All my linux servers are three runlevel.  I have dbcontrol on each of them.  I have access via Firefox on my desktop.

  • Cannot connect to Oracle Enterprise Manager Express

I downloaded image database Oracle Developer days 12 c virtualbox. I can start and access the desktop. When I try to log in to Enterprise Manager (EM) Express by using the URL http://127.0.0.1:8888 / em , ask me to install Adobe Flash. I set up and access the login screen.

I checked that I can connect with the SYSTEM and the SYS user in SQLPLUS.

When I try to log on as user SYS in EM Express I get a strange error: security token does not match. You have to login again...

    enter image description here

The same happends if I login as user SYSTEM.

To me, it looks like for SYS credentials are OK, but there is something wrong with the user in the database. Is that correct and if so, how can I solve this? Or EM Express is simply no installation on the image?

Not able to connect to the database using Oracle EM Express database using firefox. "The security token does not match. You need to sign in again. "(Doc ID 1968763.1)
