Access ntuser.dat.log in NETWORK services folder refused even in safe MODE

I try to accessntuser.dat.log in the file services NETWORK even in safe MODE but not private.  I am logged in as ADMINISTRATOR.  I guess that's the case as well if I connected any other user?

I looked in the MGR TASK to try and identify what process this block, but I am at a loss.  Anyone know which circles I need to pass through power to life this file?

Guessing that you mean this file:

c:\Documents and Settings\NetworkService

You cannot open the file because XP is running and the file is in use and the Task Manager will not help you indicate what (s) blocking process your effort to open the file (it is not what is the Task Manager for).

Sometimes, you can copy a file open and then open the copy, but it will not work with ntuser.dat.log and your efforts to access the file will give results like:

If you want to open the file, you can open a session under a different name and access the file of ntuser.dat.log of another user in this way (since the other user will not in use).

For example, if I am logged on as user ElderK I can't access my ntuser.dat.log file but I can access the file owned by another user as Jose in looking here:

c:\Documents and Settings\Jose

Or, you can start on something like a Hiren Boot CD and access the file from there since your XP will not work.

I see no reason to watch the ntuser.dat.log file is binary data, then maybe you can tell us what you're trying to do and why (or you just practice).

    Hello

    The NTUSER. DAT is a registry file. NTUSER each user. DAT file contains the registry settings to their individual account. The Windows registry, is a "central hierarchical database" that contains information about user profiles, hardware and software contained on a computer. Does Windows constantly reference registry throughout its operation of its files. The configuration of the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" of the registry branch is supported by NTUSER the current user. DAT file.

    Note: this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. Because I was not running Windows in safe mode in time, I assumed that the installer was not installed correctly. So I tried to download from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=5A58B56F-60B6-4412-95B9-54D056D6F9F4&displaylang=en

I'm running a Vista Home Premium 64 bit, and I 2.38 GB of available RAM, so I don't think that the lack of memory is the problem here. What should I do?

    Hello Orwell,

    Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    You have a Windows 7 installation disc?

    As you cannot start your computer at all, I suggest to run a Startup Repair to repair the damaged boot system files and try to boot into normal mode. See the section: How to use Startup Repair in the following link.

    Startup Repair: frequently asked questions

    If this does not help, try to boot from a disc to install Windows 7 on the Windows recovery environment mode and then try to run the Startup Repair tool and check if you are able to start normally with mouse and keyboard.

    Hope this information is useful. Let us know if you need more help, we will be happy to help you.

  • No network after a power failure and only works in safe mode with network. Operating system is Vista SP2.

    The latest patch to update this system was .net framework 4

    This behavior has occurred on several machines after a power failure in our factory caused all systems restart.

    I have run chkdsk

    I ran sfc

    SafeMode internet works fine.

    Clean boot does not solve the problem.

    Cannot remove .net framework 4 because I can't get windows installation service to work properly.

    X red on the connection in normal mode

    I run with the reset.cmd file subinacl to reset all the registry settings. It gave no results.

    I looked at all of the services that are running successfully in normal mode and those that are run in mode safe and that services to start. This got me internet again in normal mode, but we are far from finished there are a lot of services is still needed. I'll make one by an approach to see what will begin and what doesn't.

    System Restore was successful, but had no bearing on the issue. Here's the solution that worked.

    Safe Mode boot

    on computers that are running Windows live onecar I ran as administrator onecare removal tool

    Remove the Adobe Flash 10 utility

    Open msconfig and services.msc

    enable all services that are running in safe mode to run msconfig on the next reboot. Also enable required services for Windows updates and windows install

    Enable

    BITS, com +, Windows udpate, workstation and service server and all dependent services. If you miss some that is good because you and individual services and start them from services.msc when the next restart.

    Restart the machine.

    I found that after this reboot a few updates have been posted in the update list installed in the control panel that had not been previously listed.

    Remove all instances of Java (cannot be done in safe mode)

    Reinstall Java and flash player from their respective Web sites

    I installed Microsoft Security Essentials www.microsoft.com/security_essentials

    Run windows update and install the updates.

    run msconfig and select normal startup

    Restart and ensure normal operation.

    It takes about 1/2 hour, 1 hour per machine which was much lower than a full reinstall.

  • Ntuser.dat locked by system after log off

    tons of stuff on the internet about this but no real difficulty. We currently use roaming profiles on a 2 k 3 Server for our Citrix configuration. We met the issue of temporary profiles created because the ntuser.dat file is locked by the system in their ordinary account profile. This has actually been a problem for several years to the contract and I am now cleaning.

    We have the GPO to set to point to a share to store profile data, refers to the configuration of the roaming profile.

    first thing I noticed was tons of SID keys under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Profile list. I deleted all these keys and profiles on the servers of applications under Docs & settings. now on the first login my account has been created on the server, SID created key. after disconnection of application, he removed key SID in the registry, writes data to the profile on hand but profile left on application server because ntuser.dat has been locked. then, the next time you connect, it starts to create profiles of temperature.

    Maybe it's a little much info for the real problem at hand, but I wanted to explain the Setup here incase it helps.

    does anyone have a solution for this?
    UPHClean is not an option because we use roaming profiles. they are always locked.

    or does anyone have a script that I could use that force a version of the log off?

    any info would be much appreciated. Thank you guys

  • Access to the data after the managed service VOImpl in bean method call

    I use JDeveloper 11.1.2.4.

    I created a method to Interface customer and he calls you a managed bean.

    The method is exposed in the control of data and I have a links to it through links on the page.

    The method runs just a view of criteria for a row of data in the database.

    But, because the method does not have a return value, how could access the View object data.

    Here's the Service method and the method of the bean management;

    The service method: in PersonVOImpl.java - should result in 1 row:

    public void getPersonByCnViewCriteria (String cn)

    {

    ViewCriteria viewCriteria = this.getViewCriteria ("PersonVOCriteriaByCn");

    Reset a display criteria of values that may was resolved at design time

    viewCriteria.resetCriteria ();

    this.setCnBind (cn);

    this.applyViewCriteria (viewCriteria);

    this.executeQuery ();

    }

    Method in managed Bean: I have a linking operation method to access the Service method.

    It seems that the Service method is executed successfully.  But, how to access the data after the call?

    protected void getPersonByCn (String cn)

    {

    BindingContainer bindingContainer = this.getBindings ();

    OperationBinding operationBinding = bindingContainer.getOperationBinding("getPersonByCn");

    Map operationsParamsMap = operationBinding.getParamsMap ();

    operationsParamsMap.put (WorkFlowBean.PROPERTY_CN, NC);

    Object result = operationBinding.execute ();

    If (! operationBinding.getErrors () .isEmpty ())

    {

    }

        // How to access data after the call?

    }

    You should never use a class VOImpl or VORowImpl in a managed bean. If you have to use them, create Interfaces and use.

    I'm not too sure if it's good to return a view in a method object.

  • What is NT Authority/Network Service? Should I be worried?

    On my 'observer of events (Local)' check to see if something occurred that may contribute to the current boot extremely long process on Windows XP.  (question reported previously, recommended to increase the size of the memory, for which thank you very much).

    I saw a string of entries NT Authority/Network Service from the moment that I started my PC.

    Anyone could explain what it is/fact & it should be there, in very simple terms please!

    It of scary, should I worry?
    If so, what should I do about it?

    The NT AUTHORITY account is built into account mainly used to run the XP Services.  Many XP Services run under the NT AUTHORITY account (it's like a user account, but you will not see in your list of users) and there are different levels of different Services.  You can see some of them as belonging to the ongoing process in the Manager of tasks and you can see them all with granularity increased if you use Process Explorer (see below for a link).

    The types are:

    NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM (System Services)
    NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE (local Services)
    NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE (Network Services)

    You can search for events on the World Wide Web and get ideas.  It's where people events they see and then to the top of their questions, ideas and solutions:

    http://www.EventID.NET/

    If you find your event in the discussion, the first idea or discussion does not necessarily mean that it is the "answer" to your situation, so carefully read all ideas to find the one that sounds more like your situation, you are bored or find a satisfactory explanation.

    The most interesting newspapers are usually the Application and the system.

    Some newspapers such as security and Internet Explorer may be completely empty or have just a few items.  The default value
    settings for XP does not log this activity, unless you need to solve a problem in these areas.  If you enable logging for them the papers fill up quickly and could adversely affect the performance of your system with all the extras (often unnecessary) activity.

    If you have Microsoft Office installed, it has its own newspapers, and they can be empty or occasional boring activity very little or, if there is no problem with your desktop applications.  It's normal.

    Not every event is a problem, some are informational messages that things work very well, and some are warnings.

    However, no event should defy reasonable explanation.

    Each event is sorted by Date and time.  Errors will be red Xs, warnings will have yellow! s. informational Messages have white is.  Not every error or warning event means that there is a serious question.  Some are excusable at boot time when Windows starts.  Try to find only the events to date
    and the time around your problem.

    If you double-click on an event, it will open a window of properties with more information.  On the right are black up and down arrow keys to scroll through the open events. The third button that looks like two overlapping pages is used to copy the details of the event in your Windows Clipboard.

    When you find an interesting event that occurred at the time of your question, click on the third button at the top and arrows to copy the details and then you can paste the details (right click, paste or CTRL-V) the text in detail here for analysis.  Remove all personal information from your information after you paste If you are forced to do so.

    If you paste an event, it will look something like this annoying system startup event:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Service Control Manager
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 7035
    Date: 14/07/2010
    Time: 17:54:18
    User: Jose
    Computer: computer

    Description:
    The Remote Access Connection Manager service was sent successfully a starting control.

    For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

    To get a fresh start on any log of the event viewer, you can choose to clear the log (the log backup is available), and then reproduce your problem, then just look at the events around your show and troubleshoot events that are happening when you have your question.

    If you want another set of eyeballs on your situation of memory which is not speculation, follow these steps:

    Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Msinfo32

    Click OK, and when the system info summary appears, click Edit, select all, copy and paste then return here.

    There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and what appears to be personal information for you, simply delete the pasted information.

    Download Process Explorer, so you can see what is 'really' running on your system, especially behind those svchosts several process see you in the running task manager.

    Download Process Explorer from here:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/Sysinternals/bb896653.aspx

    You'll like Process Explorer when you get the hang of it.  Process Explorer is the Manager of Windows taskbar on steroids.

    Process Explorer installs nothing so it won't slow down your system since it works only on request.

    Process Explorer can seem a little intimidating at first because it has so much information, but you will begin to make love the way it works when you're looking for performance problems.   You can even say EP you want it to be your new default 'Task Manager' value in the future.  You can always run the original tasks as Manager.

    Once you get Process Explorer running, expand the columns, made drag the corners of the screen for it's largest, etc., so you can see as much information as possible in the window.  Now you can really see what is running on the system.

    Here's a screenshot of my poor system when I use Process Explorer:

    http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/2567/ProcessExplorer.PNG

    The CPU column is usually the most interesting start with performance issues - which uses the most?

    Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you are
    installation actually appears. This is because that some rollback of drivers before the
    later is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot.
    Make sure that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

    Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW to the device makers DO NOT RUN THEIR
    SCANNER - check manually by model.

    Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

    Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using
    the above methods is preferable to ensure the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system
    and device manufacturers are located)

    If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable driver facilities
    in the updates of Windows, which leaves on Windows updates, but it will not be installed
    pilots who are generally older and cause problems. If updates provides a new
    driver then hide it (right click on it) and then go get new ones manually if
    you want.

  • Migrated domain users are needed to access shared folders on the network with AD username old or need to share with the new AD ID

    Dear Sir

    Migrated domain users are needed to access shared folders on the network with AD username old or need to share with the new AD ID

    I am in a field & I'll migrate with a domain name.
    EX: now I'm in the field of the AAA tomorrow my domain name will change to BBB. User accounts are created in two AAA & BBB and the two domain user IDs are different.
    data servers are also migrating with the new domain.
    is it possible to access share with the old user id folder in new field or both to share the files again with the new user ID Active directory.
    Kind regards
    Chauvet J.
