access to objects in the user interface of Labview ResultList

Hello!

I would like to have access to Locals.ResultList TS [] objects in UI (LV) during test report generation.

According to TS help in this point I can get the context of the sequence to the sequence of process template file that sends the UIMsg_ModelState_PostProcessingComplete message.

But my sights are found in the context of the client's sequence file.

Can I have access to the Locals.ResultList objects with file for the model intended use context?

Is there a way to get the desired data?

I have references to the file in the sequence and execution in this point and tried to use the Execution.RunTimeVariables property.

But not able to get the data searched with any supposed this object search string.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Hi, Horbert

Thank you much for the help!

This time I found useful object to me: Execution.ResultObject.

It refers directly to ResultList.

However your variant is also very useful.

Thank you once again and I cancel this topic.

  • Read the output values after each step runs in the User Interface of LabVIEW

    Hi all

    Development environment: TestStand 2010 SP1 and LabVIEW 2010 SP1

    Problem: is there a way to run the following steps programmatically and get values out of each of them?

    I have already extended a bit a complete interface IO for TestStand load any sequence, choose among the measures and execute step by step (something as an alternative to the steps run selected). What I'm trying to do is to add some actions between each step and do in the UI (I can't change the sequence!), so I start the NewExecution with some previously configured InteractiveArgsParam and option breakAtFirstStep set to true. Eventually I do just something like step over when debugging the sequence and it works well, but I didn't do well a way yet to read the output values of the place...

    So, if I wait before the end of the run I can read my results by treating the ResultObject, but it works only after the completion of the test sequence. Because I wanted to stop after each step, read the values, do some actions and continue to the next step, I've tried to register a running Trace event reminder View Manager. I see that after each step is executed, this event is fired, but when I try to read that a ResultObject returned in the event data it is not filled with values (ResultList seems to be empty?). Is this a correct behavior or maybe I'm reading the wrong way? (It's the same VI regarding the reading of the ResultObjects after the sequence ends and there it works very well for tables, containers and other types of data).

    As I mentioned I can't change Test sequences, I can not add a UImessages.

    What are my options? If the trace event returns output all the values from each steps or is it just used to check the status? Or maybe there's a completely different approach to this issue?

    Thanks in advance for your suggestions,

    Best regards.

    When you manipulate the UIMessage trace (you need this before the return of the event or you will present the race conditions), download myuimessage. Thread. Then call Thread.GetSequenceContext (0, & Iplease).

    And then on the context of the sequence, either go to PreviousStep.Result if it exists, or watch Locals.ResultList.

    Trace events occur between the steps executed step the more recently is the previous step, but it is also a trace event to the beginning before any measure have run at this time, there will be a previous step.

    Hope this helps,

  • to access the QML attached objects in C++ and best practices for the handling of the user interface in classes

    Hello

    I have in fact 2 queries

    (1) how can we access attachedobjects defined in QML in C++?

    (2) I'm loving development on Blackberry 10 C++ is one of my favorites. But I'm a bit lost when it comes to managing the user interface in classes. For example when we create the project through momentics we have a class called ApplicationUI. It manages all the (default) user interface commands, we in C++. as for example creating the document qml and setting as root user interface, etc. I am now working on an app that have NavigationPane as root, and then I continue to push pages (like the screens). But now the code for all pages is inside my ApplicationUI. What is the best practice to keep the UI for each page logic in a separte C++ class?

    I also develop for Android that a separate class for each activity, this code does not mingle for each activity. Please guide me how can I keep logic of user interface of each Page into a separate class of C++?

    regarding your second question:
    I think this is the simplest approach to keep all things in the UI in QML. You can easily put things into separate files.

    If you want to use c ++ to the user interface: can be done, too. just put it in separate classes and include those in your application class.

  • To access the check boxes in the user interface programmatically

    Hi all
    I have the following usecase.
    1. I have a table that has 3 columns, first two columns are read only output of the label component and the third column is a checkbox.
    2. I have three lines in the table.

    Now:
    1. when a user selects the check box and click on a "submit" button I want to check that it should have selected at least one checkbox.
    2. for which I tried to access the table from the user interface programmatically, but it does not work.
    Is there a way I can access the values?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello

    The box must be bound to an attribute line in the table is related to data collection. If yes then simply loop through the lines and check if the attribute has been set. For example, if each line has a "checked" property, so you can ensure at least a line "checked = true' in your action. To access the collection, you can use something like:

    Object initialRowKey = table.getRowKey();
    try
    {
        int count = table.getRowCount();
        for (int i = 0; i < count; i++)
        {
            table.setRowIndex(i);
            MyObject row = (MyObject)table.getRowData();
            if (row.isChecked())
            {
                // do something, set a flag to true, etc.
            }
        }
    }
    finally
    {
        table.setRowKey(initialRowKey);
    }

    The code above assume that you linked the table to your managed bean using the "required" attribute in the table.

  • Flatten to a string to send arbitrary objects by messages from the user interface?

    Hi people,

    I am trying to send arbitrary data by messages from the user interface defined by the user to my labview interface. Something funny happens then: if I send the data through the message of ui, it seems I have something strange. There is only one character or nothing in the message of the user interface that reached my reminder.

    It seems that flatten channel also creates control characters that are interpreted by NI TestStand and Labview not as members of the chain, and for this reason I only get incomplete data. within the action of testand, which creates the flattened data, I put a dialog box to display the string data, and it seems that at least up to 255 (ascii) characters are used.

    Is there something like uuencode/uudecode to avoid this problem?

    Thanks in advance

    Okidoki, found.

    His «binary"produced by «Flatten the string» string Apparently I thought, the LabVIEW data type is incompatible with the API of TestStand from LabVIEW. In conclusion I would classify this as a bug (sorry people, at least there should be documentation) API for LabVIEW TestStand 2014.

    As a solution, I use flatten it in XML, which is a printable and human readable 'normal' string.

    It was trial and error, and I'm not enjoying this.

  • The ADF table: filter on columns of stamp with a specific format in the indications of the user interface

    Hi all

    I have problem when filtering on af timestamp column: table.

    I have a table containing historical information (created_on and modified_on), it is mapped to an entity:

    Type = "Oracle.jbo.domain.date"

    ColumnType = "DATE".

    I've seen object mapped from this entity.

    I want to display created_on and modified_on with timestamp (hour and minute), so I add the tips of the user interface for these 2 columns:

    -Type format: Date Simple

    -Size: MM/DD/YYYY HH: mm

    I create a table based on this point of view. The table is filterable.

    The column like this:

    < af:column sortProperty = "#{bindings." View.hints.CreatedOn.name}"blockable = 'true '.

    sortable = "true" headerText = "#{bindings." View.hints.CreatedOn.label}"id ="c6">

    < f: facet = name 'filter' >

    < af:inputDate value = "#{bindings." ViewQuery.queryDescriptor.filterConjunctionCriterion.criterionMap.CreatedOn.value}.

    ID = "id2" >

    < af:convertDateTime pattern = "#{bindings." View.hints.CreatedOn.format}"/ >

    < / af:inputDate >

    < / f: facet >

    < af:outputText value = "#{rank." CreatedOn}.

    shortDesc = "#{bindings." VIew.hints.CreatedOn.tooltip}"id ="ot6">

    < af:convertDateTime pattern = "#{bindings." View.hints.CreatedOn.format} ">"

    < / af:outputText >

    < / af:column >

    When I filter on 2 columns (created_on, modified_on) I got an error: " java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: ADFv: could not convert the instance: 30/07/2014 09:51 type: class java.lang.String in class of type null oracle.jbo.domain.Date."

    Do you have an idea for me?

  • Changing the components of the user interface on a page programmatically

    Do I need auto-bind backing bean if I have to programmatically change the attributes, the events of the user interface on a page components? I'm sure that Yes. Thus, each jsf page must have a bean of support to do the above and a bean managed to retrieve/store data? It seems that backing bean is more than enough. Why do I need a managed bean? Is there a way to delete unwanted ui components accessors in the bean to support? Thank you.

    You need a support to programaticaly access bean and change elements on your page.
    But you do not need to expose each component on your page in the bean support - the best practice is to expose a few components that actually access you.
    So instead of using the auto-bind tge option that offers JDeveloper, create your page without a bean of support. Then when you need to access a specific object in your code, go to the attribute binding of this object in the property inspector, click the > change to his right and JDeveloper will give you a quick way to expose this specific component in a pod of support.

  • Interact with the user interface components

    I'm trying to find a GOOD way to interact with the external classes user interface components. For example, that you have a 'controller' class that needs to access the view of the user interface in some way (define a label text or something else). The controller class does not do anything, it discusses only the logic of what should be the case. Currently, it is created by my top-level class when the program starts. He listens to some events occur and needs to update/interact with the user interface or the State of the application depending on what events are. I do not seem to be a way for this controller class to easily access the UI component that I need to get my hands on.

    I'm trying to do to reduce the size of a file of mxml WindowedApplication growing (LOOK cool but that is not important) and take part of the logic of the application of this file.

    It's complicated by the fact that the label is in a State that does not have the status of 'base' (so it is not a child, or even a subsidiary child of the main class at boot time) and by the fact that it is not yet near a high school component. (If that were the case, I could probably just pass the label object in the constructor for the outdoor classroom.)

    In other words, I can't just call getChild ("labelName") on my 'main' request object because it is buried nested inside OTHER components. I don't think I like the idea to browse all components and sous-composants recursively looking for the component that my outer class trying to ask. I thought about other ideas, but I don't like any of them enough to try them, eh.

    I'm at the point now about where I come to the conclusion that my fundamental design strategy is wrong, or Flex just not allowing complex applications where the GUI components can interact with external classes relatively pain-free. I'm not convinced that "Flex cannot do', I'm looking for advice on some great Flex application in all design patterns.

    Where do you put this kind of control logic, and what happens when it starts to overflow and become so large that you need to break in other files?

    Found a solution, I think that's what I've been looking for:

  • Impressive transformation slow due to the updating of the user interface

    Hello

    I feel a huge slow down in my test as engine

    I update the display after each test. It consists of a rather

    "simple table" with a subtle change of color and bold

    to indicate the failure or success of the test:

    I have also tried several things to determine what routine was

    make the program almost crawling like a snail, here's my

    results:

    No UI refresh: 0m48s (same as Teststand with no updates of the user interface)

    The discount but no page table switch: 1m06s

    Bay of refreshment and switch page: 1m26s

    There are 314 tests, up to 314 redraw and possibly

    switch page 314 to reposition the view. Which gives the

    following user interface refresh costs:

    Update of the table: 18 years/314 = 57ms (replacing just a single line, Center to top)

    Switch to page: 20 s/314 = 64ms (bottom right corner)

    Is this really the case? Is there a way to make the refresh of the user interface

    faster? Create two separate loops/threads, one to make

    the test, one for updating the UI asynchronously?

    I understood for an overall picture about different

    widgets, but here I'm 'just' display of channels...

    David Koch

    Well, multi-listbox control is a problem if your change causes access to the muliple property node. For each property node LabVIEW normally does a refresh of the user interface which is very quickly. Fortunately, there is a fairly easy way to fix this.

    Use a node of property for the current VI (just drop a property node and change its class type VI Server-> VI reference) to get the reference of the Panel. Then use another property node connected to your reference of the Panel and select update from the Panel to postpone. Set this value to true before your Listbox (and any other updated user interface) and set the value to false then.

  • Need help with this code to update the user interface example

    I'm triying to understand the differences between the three methods to manage UI interactions.
    I'm really confused with these three terms when triying them figure out in a real case.
    Basically, I know that I should use invokeLater, invokeAndWat, or getEventLock() to avoid
    This exception: java.lang.illegalStateException: engine access UI without holding the lock on the event

    The code below illustrates the function of the invokeAndWait method, but if I replace it with
    invokeLater or getEventLock() the program will work exactly the same way.
    Could you please change the code to show the differences between the three
    methods of updating the user interface?

    / public final class HelloWorldMainScreen extends form {}

    private LabelField labelField;
    public HelloWorldMainScreen() {}
    labelField = new LabelField ("Hello World");
    Add (labelField);
    Thread MainScreenUpdaterThread = new MainScreenUpdaterThread (this);
    thread. Start();
    }

    {} public void appendLabelText (String text)
    labelField.setText(labelField.getText()+"\n"+text);
    }

    }

    SerializableAttribute public class MainScreenUpdaterThread extends Thread {}
    HelloWorldMainScreen screen;

    public MainScreenUpdaterThread (screen HelloWorldMainScreen) {}
    this.mainScreen = screen;
    }

    public void run() {}
    for (int i = 0; i)< 10;="" i++)="">
    try {}
    Thread.Sleep (5000);
    } catch (InterruptedException ex) {};
    UiApplication.getUiApplication () .invokeAndWait (new Runnable() {}
    public void run() {}
    mainScreen.appendLabelText ("Update");
    }
    });

    }
    }
    }

    These three concepts are very confusing for a lot from people so all explanatory source code
    describing their functions will be highly useful for everyone, I think.

    Thanks in advance!

    With respect to the effect, there is no difference between methods.  The difference is the way in which the result is achieved.  So we can't change the code to show you the difference.

    As we are unable to demonstrate the difference, you have to do with an explanation.  To understand the explanation, you'll need to understand the thread of events, so if you have not already, please consider this:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Java-development/what-is-the-event-thread/Ta-p/446865

    If the three options are differentiated by the processing order:

    (a) invokeLater executes the update on the thread of events.  The transformation takes place at a later stage and the code which is in order after the invokeLater will actually run before the code within the invokeLater.

    (b) invokeAndWait also manages the update on the thread of events, which means that all other events that await on the thread of events will be run before this code.  But any code after the invokeAndWait will not be executed.

    (c) the synchronized option, like invokeAndWait, runs the update of the UI before moving on to the following code.  The difference is that the code to run on the event Thread is not executed before code in the synchronized block.

    If this is meaningless, so that probably does not matter too much.  in general, you should use invokeLater, except if you need to update the user interface occur in the order with your background processing.  If so, use invokeAndWait. It has synced are very few occasions where you must use the block, and it should be very small updates to the user interface and you should understand the implications this could have on the wire events.

  • OS6 Guides development of the user interface

    Is there a that guides all OS6 out UI development still?  I wrote some background apps start on my "BOLD" 9000 OS4.6 into development, but now I want to try my luck at the user interface.  I just got the Torch 9800 and I want to connect it to one of my web applications and retrieve/display information, update etc.  Specifically, I'm looking to connect to our own ticket, tracking system, so I can access ticket information, update tickets, view attachments (blackberry types supported in any case), the old tickets (executed on the server) search and display the results.  I have already addressed most of the back-end things (http, xml, persistence, file system, gps, connections message, discussions, etc.).

    To my UCM_Server1 content WebCenter.

    As I already have a WebCenter content I have to follow the second part of the note

    How to install and configure the UI content with WebCenter content 11.1.1.8.0 and 11.1.1.9.0 (Doc ID 1618305.1).

    Install and configure content WebCenter ADF WebUI against WebCenter Content Server

    Step 1) install the MDS schema

    (Step 2), install the Weblogic Server

    11 GR 1 material step 3) DOWNLOAD and install Oracle Application Development Framework (11.1.1.6.0) in the new WebUI WLS Middleware House, found here

    Step 4) Download and apply Patch 16, 546 129.

    Step 5) Download and apply Patch 16, 546 157.

    Step 6) download and apply the Patch and then 19,469,801, 18,102,108 Patch

    Step 7) copy the wccadf files in the field of user interface

    Step 8) Oracle on demand services (MDS) metadata registry

    Step 9) Place the WebCenter content domain user interface model

    Step 10) run the Setup Wizard on the new home of Middleware WebUI to create the new domain

    Step 11) updated the Oracle ADF of shared libraries

    Step 12) start the domain WebUI administration server

    Step 13) Save target Managed Server with the MDS repository and create the metadata partition

    Step 14) start the server managed WebUI.

    Step 15) associate UI WebCenter content to Content Server.

    Step 16) reboot the WebUI ADF server managed.

    Step 17 access the WebUI

    Step 18) complete the Configuration of the workflow

    Step 19) apply the latest Patch Bundle content UI of WebCenter

    MY DOUBT IS:

    To read the steps that I understood, to 19, with success, in the end, I will have an another WebLogic with a domain name and its respective EM.

    I have two servers weblogic?

    portal_domain (explained above) and a new wccui_domain wls and domain.

    This fix it?

    Two WLS to keep WebCenter portal and content, and other elements.

    Because I'm not able to do with the WLS even where I UCM_server1 today?

    Thanks for all suggestions and criticism.

    Yes, up to 11.1.1.9.0, you will need to install a new wls House (new wls server admin) and then configure WCC ui there. User interface and COE will not work in the same field. You can have the portal and content under the same House of wls and install a new one for the user interface.

    This is due to a problem with ADF and WCC libraries.

    With 12 c, this dependence is not there, and you can install / configure all 3 (Portal, content and adf ui) applications on the same domain.

  • "ProviderChangeSupport" refreshes the issue in the user interface

    Hello

    I am facing problem in refreshing the listview in the amx MAF page.

    behavior in my application is below:

    -> Initially I displays all records in the list view.

    -> at the top of the page, I have a search field, while I'm looking is not refreshing the user interface for the first value listed as (value = 100), if I change the value of research to the other like(value = 101) it is refreshing the user interface. And then if I search with another value as (value = 103) is not refreshing the user interface and if change value again into different as {value = 104 (not 103)} it is refreshing the user interface.

    Kindly help me on this how can I solve this problem. I can't understand the question.

    code is like:

    in the DC class:

    transitional protection ProviderChangeSupport providerChangeSupport = new ProviderChangeSupport (this);

    private PropertyChangeSupport propertyChangeSupport = new PropertyChangeSupport (this);

    {} public void addProviderChangeListener (ProviderChangeListener l)

    providerChangeSupport.addProviderChangeListener (l);

    }

    {} public void removeProviderChangeListener (ProviderChangeListener l)

    providerChangeSupport.removeProviderChangeListener (l);

    }

    {} public void setBook (book)

    Book oldBook = this.book;

    This.Book = book;

    propertyChangeSupport.firePropertyChange ("book", oldBook, book);

    }

    public book getBook() {}

    turn the work;

    }

    public BookDC() {}

    Super();

    findAll();

    }

    book private;

    private list books = new ArrayList();

    private map BookAdapter = new BookAdapter();

    public book [] getBooks() {}

    findAll();

    return (Book []) books.toArray (New Book [books.size ()]);

    }

    {} public void findAll()

    Whole BookId = null;

    Object obj = AdfmfJavaUtilities.getELValue("#{pageFlowScope.bookId}");

    If (obj! = null)

    bookId = new Integer (obj.toString ());

    Books = adapter.findBooks (ID);

    providerChangeSupport.fireProviderRefresh ("books");

    //        try {

    Thread.Sleep (1000);

    } catch (InterruptedException e) {}

    //

    //        }

    AdfmfJavaUtilities.flushDataChangeEvent ();

    }

    Thank you

    Rita

    Hello

    at first glance, it seems to me that there is a problem in your code; in the method "getBooks" you call "findAll", and in the latter, you trigger a refresh of the provider. The refreshment of the provider calls internally "getBooks" method to update the data of the user interface. So here you have some kind of loop. You can debug and see if this is what is happening. "getBooks" should have only the return line.

    If this does not resolve your problem, you may show your amx code to see how you manage the search field.

    Kind regards.

  • Settings of the user interface in the preferences grayed out

    I'm a Super Administrator and administrator of the workspace and still I can not for queues or UI settings in the preferences. I need to change the startup location to "Start the process" of "To Do".

    Set preferences for the user interface in the preferences > settings of the user interface tab. The following preferences are available.

    • Start location: Specifies the page that displays when you access the workspace HTML. The four options available are the processes to start, track, and Favorites.

    The settings of the user interface tab is grayed out why and how I get it back?

    Thanks to our QA group, we found a way to access the settings of the user interface. The single tab activated when opening preferences is out of the office. By selecting the button "+" in the tabs on the desktop calendar, queues, and the user interface settings are allowed.
