  I have a report that has a view of pivot, in which I want to display the average age (date-obtained variable presentation) for example. Average age of the 31.12.12.

  I used 'average Age of staff |  ' @{Reporting_Date} [dd.mm.yy] {31.12.12}' as the formula column and compound eyes, the report shows the desired result.

  But when the report is on the dashboard, it shows the average age to 31.00.12.

  Is this a bug or is there other settings I need to do? I use OBIEE 11.1.1.7.0.

  Worked by changing just the text format.

  Hi David,

  I would put in place a specific map and a table of the data entry of your employees. The budget table/sheet would take data from there, and you could block this table to discourage changes.

  In iOS, I would create a form. It would allow the data entry and access to the formula results but of formats and formulas cold not be displayed in the form.

  I have a text element with 'Formula calculation' in the property Palette > > calculation > > formula, when I record using validation form to trigger validation key full transaction message but does not backup on the data column occupying a formula.

  What is the reason behind this? Can you get it everything one please let me know how to solve this problem.

  Dear Atif,

  Oracle will not save the value of formula to database column. If you want to save the calculated value, and then create another element of text as part of database and remove the column of formulas and forward INSERT or UPDATE before, assign the value in the formula column to the item database.

  You can try an idea. Keep the formula column in the option group, and create a more summary column as serial number for retail stores so repeating rather than setting this field (column of formulas) by repeating the image and use the PL/SQL code for this field as below...

    RETURN TRUE;
  ELSE
    RETURN FALSE;
  END IF;
  

  Then, it should display the first record only.

  I have a custom column (in the former below: "Aging") which is based on quick date and arrived at the bottom of aging buckets. I have a report of drilling of the "Balance" column When I click on 100/200/125 correspondent value 'Aging' should be passed to the detail report.

  31 to 60 days	200
  61-90 days	125

  Tried to put the 'Aging' formula in the detailed report and that it "is invited" - no luck.

  Created the logic in SPR with a query variable (to have a quick date) only option to solve this problem? Any suggestions?

  When you create a column of the RPD, you have the opportunity to determine whether the column should be aggregated in some way or not. For dimension columns, you would not put the aggregation. To say, a column of accounting balance account, you may be putting the SUM or AVERAGE aggregate. Aggregation put you on this column will be 'default' column aggregation in the responses.

  Thus, in Answerrs, if you use the balancing item of the account column and you have only the size of the region, will bring together the OBIEE or SUM the book balances in order to have an AMOUNT for the level of the region. If you district, that the balance of the book column will consolidate at the district level. It is a convenient way to create reports without having to specify what should be aggregation.

  However, OBIEE gives you the ability to override what the default aggregation for a particular column. It is the purpose of the drop down at the bottom left of a column when you click the fx button.

  Say the aggregation by default of the book balance is the SUM of the RPD, but for the report that you create, you want to calculate the average, you can apply the AVERAGE function in the fx window and it will be overridge rule of SUM aggregation which was to the RPD.

  I'll start from scratch:

  Group of users and give the menu as operational reports and historical reports of this group.

  Click on manage Group > select your group and select authorized reports.

  Select all the reports that you want to grant to this group of users.

  As there is a report group membership. For this you need additional permission of the organization. I mean that you will make this group as group of Directors of that organization for which you want to give access.

  Member of this group can view all users but will not be able to change any user profile.

  Just to add one more thing:
  If you want to change any existing code without having to change any JSP, just go to the Table of REP and select your report. You will see a column he REP_META_DATA something, just modify this column.

  I have a report of responses which displays the 'top 20' and has only 2 narrow columns (name and total). In the dashboard, it looks like a vertical strip:

  It would look much more pleasant if it was a "newspaper" style, where you have more than one column of the whole page:

  Is this possible to be done using OBI EE? I looked for a checkbox style "journal" in the properties of the report (hoping it would be that simple) but no luck... I couldn't find all the messages in this forum either, maybe I'm using the wrong terminology.

  Hi Luis,.

  Yes, it is possible using a PivotTable. Assuming you want 10 records by column, you must do the following:

  (1) adds a column to your report with this formula:
  RCOUNT (Column) - 10 * FLOOR ((RCOUNT (Column) - 1) / 10)

  (2) add another column to your report with this formula:
  Floor ((RCOUNT (Column)-1) / 10)

  (3) go to the PivotTable

  (4) add column 1) lines section

  ((5) add column 2) section columns

  (6) add the other columns in the action box

  (7) add the aggregation rule to "FIRST" for all columns in the action box

  (label measure area to 8) in the section lines under column 2 area)

For example "Short term" (less than 12 months) or "Long term" (over 3 years). We do this by the CASE statement.
