• How to prevent users from changing the network connection?

  Hi all

  I have a weird problem. I set up my HP ThinPro T610, I have to say is simple enough. I want users just to turn on the computer, wait a few minutes and log into the Terminal Server Services on the Server RDP connection, so I basically blocked every user of things could possibly click - they have no taskbar, etc. Connection Manager.

  Now, there's one thing I can't block - 10 seconds, users can see "Network connection" pop up, in which they can - at my enormous disbelief -change the connection settings.

  I can't find a way to block this... everyone can share their experience with this issue?

  1 log in administrator mode

  2 Goto advanced - Xterminal regeditor and type

  3. go in config wizard

  4. change the value to enablenetworkcheck and save and reboot

  Is the drive flash to NTFS, or something else?  Do you have locked or encrypted Flash?

  SFC say at the end?  Did you also run DISM?

  Affecting the security attribute Access Page Protection page No. URL Access and navigate between pages using the type of the Page Management Branch (uncheck the option creates a branch using redirection page in the Wizard) will avoid this:

  No URL access -Page can not be found using a URL, but the page can be the target of a type of Page Management Branch, is not doing a URL redirect.

  It is a little more restrictive that a normal direction of the session state values cannot be positioned or erased declaratively in the branch, but is not often necessary in a several step wizard, and it's pretty simple to work round using prior processes - or post-branche or by referencing the item values directly from other pages.

  If you are still using the serial number of the original problem, which is probably why you still have a problem.  Serial numbers transport information... a serial number upgrade includes a code to indicate that it is an upgrade so that when treated it triggers the software to be treated as an upgrade installation.

  I see the placeholders for fields on the Quiz slides (number of Questions = {total-issues}).  Is there a way to view and change these calculations?

  You can select which variables appear on the Quiz results slide, but you can't really change the calculations used by Captivate under the hood.

  Depending on what you're trying to reach, you may be able to insert your own captions reading off the same variables and use advanced Actions and Expressions to concoct different results.  But it depends a lot on what you want to do and whether or not the variables are exposed, and whether or not the limited Expressions available will allow the calculation.

• Help! I need to prevent cells from all the previous autofilled time of editing a new autofilled entry is created every time.

  "My goal... is simple (and it was easy to implement in Appleworks). I have a simple spreadsheet with two columns. The user enters data in a context menu in the left column; Current date and time are entered in the right column. I have it works very well. But every time a new entry is added in the left column... ALL of the previous date and weather resistance dishes are changed to the date and time... which is completely useless for me. I want the date/time column to keep its original value once you enter.

  I suspect you use the TODAY() formula. I'm afraid that this is how it works. It is not a time stamp. Apple has twisted when update formulas, and formulas to update each time that a change to the table.

  For a date/time stamp, you must double click and use the Insert menu.

• Is there a way to prevent Microsoft to change the name of the driver of a scanner to #2?

  I support the scanners as part of my work, and I often that a scanner driver will get automatically renamed by Windows with a "#2" after the name of the original driver. Is there a way to avoid this? The reason is that we have created an application that stores information to scan to use when scanning documents, but it loses connection if the scanner automatically gets renamed.

  Sometimes users are plugging the scanner on a different port while the other times, unexpected events, such as power outages, cause scanners rename themselves to try to restore the functionality but just to break our application. I think at this point, it would be better to disable the naming of autopilot for other USB ports (if there is a way to do it) because we would rather users not being able to scan at all and let us know so that we can resolve the issue that in order to restore the functionality and the user thinks that he is well again , but in fact does not work in our application.

  I don't know if this would require a change to the registry, changes in Device Manager or something else. Thank you for your consideration.
