Accidentally deleted Explorerframe.dll

I was installing a custom explorerframe.dll, you know, so it would look all pretty and stuff. And I created a backup and applied the new explorerframe, which then failed... I tried to go back to the backup also failed. I knew I had to run sfc scannow, but without the windows Explorer or my taskbar / start menu I had to open the Task Manager, hit run, browse and find cmd to run as admin. After running sfc scannow I have an image of the Explorer. But it looks like something out of Windows Millennium Edition. Then... I'm a bit confused and it this point, I'd be happy just return to my old aero Explorer frame. I tried to change my theme to an aero theme, but just instantly, it is up to the current "of the classic window" theme. I don't know if microsoft has an explorerframe for download but I didn't, so I posted here. Any suggestions on what to do... or how to recover my old explorerframe would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you for your reply, I was expecting something a little simpler than a system restore. I didn't pass any of that so I posted here. However, I found the problem. That's when I tested an Aero theme, I clicked on several topics custom that I had installed, none worked. Is because that when the sfc scannow checked and replaced my OS, he deleted all the custom frames, I installed and left only the basic chassis. In addition, to install a custom theme, you must patch the 3 files in the registry. I had also neglected to think that those who too had been replaced by the analysis. They had, so after repatching the registry and uninstalling and reinstalling the theme custom, everything's fine. I'm sorry to waste your time, when I finally thought of it myself. I was hoping just a shortcut to a solution instead of my own trial and error. But thank you nonetheless for your time to answer and have a great day!

  • I accidentally deleted wsock32.dll.

How do I restore it back? I use a Windows XP Media Center Version. I do not have the XP cd, but I got from Sony, the kit dvd with all of the original software in system restore. I find the wsock32.dll on dvd & I sent a copy of it to my desktop.but that I am not able to run.

You see a message like this:

.exe - Unable to locate component
The application has failed to start because WSOCK32.dll is not found.  Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

What is the application you are trying to launch that generates the error message (Firefox, iTunes, etc.).

Since the file wsock32.dll is one of 3498 files covered by the Protection of Windows, deleting files, it requires a little extra effort...  How did you accidentally delete it?  (just curious).

If the system works correctly, what do you think has happened since the last time the system worked properly?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

Unless there is any trouble with your system, no protected file should never miss...

We need copies of the missing file (and all protected files 3498) in other places on your system that you can use to replace (copy/paste) the missing file.  You just need to find a copy and paste again where it belongs.

    The file is here:

    c:\Windows\System32

You can search the backup copies of the file here:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

Depending on your installation, there might be a copy here:

    c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386

When you find it, copy and paste the file where it belongs.

The file should never really miss in the first place.  There may be other copies on your system you can find with built in research works, but if it's really not in c:\windows\system32 and you do not have a good explanation for that missing, you have another problem.

You should not have an installation CD XP and sfc/scannow won't help you not (in the case that rises).

  • Deleted files ExplorerFrame.dll, cannot run anything. What should I do now?

I tried to change the file ExplorerFrame.dll to use another theme, and I end up doing something I shouldn't. So now I'm unable to see anything, another that its use by the Task Manager click ctrl alt delete.

    Help.

    Hello

You will not be able to repair your damaged without having to reinstall system, but you can try this: Manager tasks on the Applications tab, click "new task". Click Browse and navigate to C:\Windows\System32. Search the cmd.exe file and right click, choose 'Run as administrator'. Click on continue in the UAC prompt. From the command line, run "sfc/scannow" for the system to validate all system files, it should replace missing or damaged files. When you are done, reboot the system by running "shutdown - r" from the command line.

I got a file from an old iPhone on my iMovie app and then accidentally deleted the application itself. How can I get the video?

He is not on any backup so I'll need to find it on my Mac.

    Thank you

The file itself should always be on the hard disk.

If you know the name of the file, try to use Spotlight to find it.

Click the magnifying glass icon top right of your screen type the file name.

The basics of the Mac: Spotlight helps you find what you are looking for

If you can't find this file name, try a format iMovie such as DV, MPEG-4, MPEG-2, MOV and M4V

Did you delete the Documents folder that is normally found in your folder/Home /? The entrance to the docking station is simply a form of alias created by dragging the real Documents folder icon in the Dock. Is that what you did? In addition, this has nothing to do with the downloads. Those who go into the downloads folder, also in the folder/home /.

  • I accidentally deleted my boot partition

I tried to install Windows 10 using Bootcamp but it failed and I had to start. I thought I had deleted the Bootcamp partition, but I accidentally deleted the main boot partition for Mac OS. When I try to start my Mac Apple logo appears for a while, then finally I do not see an entry sign.

In an attempt to solve this problem, I started my Mac upward into recovery mode and reinstalled Mac OS on the partition that I created for the thought of Windows, I would be able to access my files and pass them to the new facility. Mac OS installed fine, but I now have a 800 GB partition, I can't access. He appears in disk utility, but I can not unlock or fix it.

Question is, can I repair the boot partition and to come back to how I was before I screwed up?

Or, is it possible to unlock the main so partition that I can access it from the new installation, back up everything can start all over again?

What do you backup before you start this project?

  • I accidentally deleted the iCloud device (my iPad not lost or stolen... but it's very very locked down)

So, I accidentally deleted the iCloud device (but my iPad is not lost or stolen). This all started because I forgot my password and I want to reset the unit. In the process, I have deleted my camera from the iCloud website (stupid self-help sites and my idiocy). in any case, I am about to connect my iPad to iTunes so that I can update and restore my device (which will erase my password and give me a new start... right?) BUT I don't know if I actually restore since, as I said - I deleted icloud . Before I go ahead and update/restore via iTunes, I want someone to confirm or deny or not I'm completely screwed and all my stuff was gone. While I can start crying now rather than later.

    Thanks in advance.

I accidentally deleted my iWatch color dial.  How can I restore it?

    Hello

It is not possible to directly restore a deleted custom dial.

However, you can easily add a new color dial and then repeat the customizations:

    • When displaying the time on your watch: firmly on the face of the watch, swept to the left until you reach the new watch face option > press the new button '+' > highlight color (using the digital Crown) dial > press to select it.

If you want, you can customize can also watch face complications.
