  Try to recover your device with the steps below:

  Switch off your device, press and hold Volume first, then press the power button / stop for 3-5 seconds (do not let go of the button low volume).   I'm on a 64-bit Windows 7 platform. I have captivate 6.01 and installed the patch NeoSpeech. He gave me a successful installation, but when I navigate to Captivate and try to convert the text to speech, he said that I have not added any votes. I checked the folders based on further discussions and it seems that the VT is in my captivate 6 folder and that there are voices in there.

  In the CP installation folder, the subfolder Utils you will find a batch file that will kill the Preferences folder. You will lose all customizations, when the PC restarts a new folder will be created. The folder is located in your profile:

  \Users\\AppData\Local\Adobe and labelled Captivate 6.0

  Please check section of applications that the built-in apps still exists or not. This will clear if the built-in apps are only missing the start screen or permanently missing. If you find them, re-PIN. If you can't find them, Refresh and they all will be back over your app so lost data file.

  It seems that you try to install the version of Windows on your Mac, that will not work.

  I haven't used a DVD for installation of Age, but I would have thought that the Mac version would also be on the disk.

  I'm not a Mac person, but I think that the executable file would have the .dmg extension.

The creative cloud application checks the update once a day, so you may see the update immediately.  If you want to force the check for an update at the beginning please logout and log back into the creative Cloud application.
