I tried this and it says critical files were absent, and I need to reinstall it from the original media. In this last month, or so I have found NO solution to this problem, and I'm afraid to delete all the other files. I could not find any help on the adobe site, and since I have not registered my product (since I have not installed so) I can't direct support from adobe. Please help all I want to do is to use photoshop and I don't like wasting the money of the people who bought it for me. Can someone give me a solution to this mess?

  Time for a repair facility to fix the networking that you deleted.  You can probably resolve this issue by issue, but it will take much more than a repair installation and you will never really know if you completely set.

  Not sure that the cleaning tool Acrobat will help as you use Reader (this is not the forum to drive). But you can try it at http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html. There may be a similar one for the player, but I don't know. If so, that would give you a chance to try a reinstall. It is a good idea to be logged in as an administrator and have anti-virus off at such a facility.

  Well, I found a 'solution '. Seems to work for me (so far).

  1. you will need a copy of psexec (SysInternals)
  2. run RegEdit as a "SYSTEM":
  PsExec.exe-i s d regedit.exe
  3. navigate to
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\ROOT\MS_NDISWANBH\0001
  * Note: 0001 final number may be different on your system, just look for one with "FriendlyName" of "Miniport (Network Monitor) Wan #2" or whatever the name of the faulty adapter. "
  4 delete this key (the 0001 and everything below)
  5. navigate to
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4d36e972-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318} \00xx (where XX may have a number any)-you can figure out which adapter it is by going to Device Manager and by checking the Details of the faulty adapter tab - down the menu down for 'Driver key' - it will show you a number like {4d36e972-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318} \0016
  6 delete this key and its subkeys.
  
  7 reboot your system and the yellow exclamation point should be gone.

  If you try to remove all Adobe applications. You can perform a complete removal of files and records of Adobe.

  Note:

  (1) If you had installed Adobe applications, make sure you have the serial number with you, prior to following below mentioned procedure.

  (2) take a backup of files that is needed.

  (3) restart Adobe Cleaner tool and select clean all the Option.

  Follow the procedure below.
