When I try to connect to my windows.live account, a message appears saying that the name of the account (email address) is not recognized. NOTE THAT I am able to login with the same email address and password to answers.microsoft (here). I need to get this straightened up soon, because I need to correct an anomaly in my Microsoft billing account.

I have the "recovery code' - in other words, the code of 25 characters such as 11111-22222-33333-44444-55555. With the code, he said

"If you need to regain access to your account again, this code will allow." How/where can I use the recovery code to resurrect my account?

    It's very very frustrating.

    Apple ID password is forgotten, and the trust phone number is disconnected.   When you try to account for recovery, it is first suggested that I get a SMS verification.   I can provide the phone number, but I have to select I have more access to the number later.

    Then, it asks which credit card I used for buying Apple.   It's easy, I even have my receipt of purchase of the phone and to know exactly what card I used for purchases of Apple's iOS.   I enter the information of the card out of the physical card in front of me, and the system indicates several times that the expiry or the CVV value is false.    Well, no: he wasn't an earlier map with a different value of expiry/CVV.   It WAS, but it was a year before my use of my first iOS device so literally impossible.

    So, I click that I don't have access to the card more.

    Then, I provide a phone number that I can receive a SMS on for purposes of account recovery.   I receive the text, confirm the code and then informs me that I have to wait for more information.

    I waited a few days and went to iforgot.apple.com , by following the instructions to check the status.   He said that it is still ongoing.   But there is a link: "having additional information to verify your identity?   I happily click the link, thinking that I can finally send a few notes or a picture of the credit card to complete the case information.   No, it's just a link that brings back me to the procedure of restoration of cookie-cutter and if all goes well, it didn't reset the process altogether to extend.

    So I wait several days.   Then, in hope, I'll be back on the web site to see that it started the process again as if I never did in the first place.   Rinse and repeat these steps twice, sacrificing a week and a half in the process, in addition to disabling my cameras just to be sure he would not cause conflict because they were on.

    Apple, I know you must be discreet about the exact nature of these processes.   But if you think about it - people who hack accounts as part of their daily routine are more likely to be aware of the inner workings and timelines associated with the process.

    People who suffer are the ones who really need the information.   I would venture to say that people would be paying a good price for a recovery service or an assistant who could at least give them an idea of how long would take the things, if there is nothing that can be done to help or what to expect next.    Because, obviously, the "recovery will take a few days." is a true statement indeed.     I have no idea of what is happening in these 'a few days' every time, but certainly, it has not been reviewed by a human.

    As a final note, I would like to say that, in my view, that consumers Apple are merit to be of a higher level of service...   For the premium paid all around for iDevices is certainly one aspect of the service that is not at the height.    I apologize for the rant, but now a member of the family has to leave to Mexico with no means of FaceTime friends/family, while out of the country because of this.

    If anyone can help or point me in the right direction, I would be eternally grateful.   I've been through the hoops by calling Apple directly and provided documentation, etc., but never received the call final return after all the time invested.

    "Recovery"?  What are exactly are you afraid to lose and need to recover?  Your password?  No, two-step verification can help.  The approach is quite different from two-factor authentication:

  • Hotmail account recovery

    At the start of Hotmail, I had an email address that has been linked to an Email beta program @realbox.com which gave rise to a University. Since that they ending @realbox.com that I have been unable account recovery of access because the password should goes to this email that no longer exists.
    Someone is currently using that email so either they hacked my account or the email has been reassigned.
    Is it possible to know if I still have the account and how I would go about recovering the password?

    For, the account provider (combination of account provider code) 100

    To, tax liability (combination of passive tax code account) 16

    Update of the OS on my workstation, we did a firefox data synchronization until the workstation has been reset and updated. From there, we have created a recovery key Firefox I have access now. When I settled on the new installation of Firefox, it does not recognize the email address associated with the sync account I had. I set up synchronization using a new e-mail address and checked that. From there I though I could import the recovery key file I have and it cannot see where this is possible.

    Is it possible to associate a new profile synchronization account and have it use my recovery key to get my old data?

    On my old account that was associated with another email, why not have it not recognized the e-mail address? On my end, it was a valid email for me and until the computer was wiped out, I confirmed that the e-mail address on the old installation was linked to the old account synchronization. Can it somehow be retrieved or synchronized?

    Hello kfoxSupport, 29A firefox introduced a new synchronization system which is not compatible with the accounts configured in earlier versions.

    in this case, you'd probably have to use a workaround, first download the version of firefox before 28 and disable the automatic update for the moment (in options > advanced > update): install an older version of Firefox

    then try to connect your former account synchronization device using the key-combo of old email/password / recovery. After you have restored your data in this way successfully, you can switch to firefox 29 and probably also of the switch to the new system of synchronization on all your devices: synchronize your bookmarks from Firefox, history, passwords, etc.

    Your only option is to go to the page to reset password here.  You will need a way to prove you belong, such as a billing statement (if you've ever bought something like Xbox or Outlook using this Live account) or a phone number.  If you can't prove you are the owner, then the password can not be reset (otherwise anyone could lie and take back to your account).
