Acer Aspire Z3-605-UR20 Memory Specifications

I recently bought an Acer Aspire Z3-605-UR20. Online data sheet says I can go to 16 GB of memory. I'm having a hard time to determine the exact type of memory compatible with my machine. Can someone help me to limit?

Hi eschenbacher!

Download & install Crucial Scanner . This program will tell you exactly what RAM you need and make recommendations for you.

The link is to the site of the United Kingdom, but you can put your country by clicking on the flag in the upper left corner of the page.

I hope this helps!

  • Acer Aspire One D255 - upgrade memory - I was told I could be upgraded to 2GB. A DDR3 4 GB will work?

Went to the store to pick up a 2 GB and they were all, but the sales guy gave me a 4 GB DDR3.  The Geeks were all busy, and I had no time to wait, so I brought home and decided to research.  I find nothing on a 4GB for this model.  No one knows if it will make a difference.  They are apparently the same size. Now, I have windows 10 on mine and have need of more memory.

The 4GB will not work and neither will DDR3.

In this case, you can upgrade the bios but only under DOS (as you tried).

  • Acer Aspire M3641-X223W - complete hardware specification

    Hi all

I bought the Acer Aspire M3641 X223W about 6 years (?) back. Now I want to use it for my homeserver (maybe upgrade some things). But I need the full in the specs of the depth of the material. I know general specifications (4 GB RAM, 640HDD, RADEON 3450, Intel Core 2 Duo E5200), but especially the depth in the mother card, I couldn't find. For example the manufacturer (if is not Acer), type / etc.

Is there an overview containing all the technical characteristics? I couldn't find it as simple online or on the Acer Web site.

    Thank you!

Not sure if your computer is the link below.

It's probably an Acer motherboard, but I don't really know if Acer has their own factory or if they outsource to someone like foxconn, etc...

Note: My links are just assumptions/examples and may not even be guess exact remote.

Edit: even though this card mother foxconn is similar to your motherboard, Acer probably has it custom... so not all ports/headers would be accurate.

Hello! On the front of my all-in-one that shows a picture of headphones, usb 3.0 and a logo of sd card. I'm really confused about why they are there if there is nothing to these ports (except the USB 3.0, unless theres supposed to be a second.) I can't really find a fact sheet on the ports that should be online, so I hope someone experienced with help! Thank you!

  • Need still restarts desktop Acer Aspire - keyboard not detected at the login screen

    Hello

    I have Acer Aspire ATC-605-UR13.

In the course of the last 4 weeks, suddenly the keyboard is not detected at the login screen. The mouse works.

Still, I have to restart to make the keyboard work.

Any idea of what caused it? Perhaps any software installed that do?

P.S.: Btw, I tried a new keyboard, the same behavior. I have concluded that this is not the keyboard.

    Thank you!

This problem has been reported after that install some recently released update of windows... Currently the ability to perform a restore of the system to an earlier date. You can also try to uninsatlling updates of windows manually from Control Panel > windows update.

  • Acer Aspire XC600 - Windows XP

I am looking for a new desktop computer, the Acer Aspire XC600 with the following specifications:

    Acer Aspire XC600 - SFF - 1 x Core i5 3330 / 3 GHz - RAM 4 GB - drive HARD 1 x 1 TB - DVD SuperMulti - Radeon HD 7470 - Gigabit LAN - 8 64-bit Windows

Now, I would like to install Windows XP on this machine, but I need to know with certainty whether or not it will work correctly. I can find drivers Windows XP for the GPU, so it's not any problem. Hard drive and DVD drive no problems either. But I find anywhere what kind of motherboard is in this computer so I can't verify that they are all the XP drivers for it. Can someone tell me what mother/chipset card using this computer and have all the XP drivers available or not? Thank you.

(WARNING: Yes, I know that Windows XP is almost an existing operating system, and I know that it is very old, poses serious risks of security etc etc "but I need to run XP for some reason).

Simply, we money went for it and installed all the drivers hand. No problem it is, although it was a serious pain to get the AHCI driver. Took us a while to understand the chipset was a "Intel 6 series/C200". "Intel H61 Express" is simply too broad and impossible to find the right drivers for.

    Anyway, resolved.

  • Aspire XC-605 Downgrade from Windows 8 for Windows 7

    Hi people,

I need quick tips on a desktop PC Acer Aspire XC-605 and hope you can help me. My boyfriend just bought an Acer Aspire XC-605 for his family to use. It comes with Windows 8, but he hates this OS. He called me yesterday and asked if I could "downgrade it" to Windows 7 as I'm a bit geek with PCs.

But I read a horror story about someone who wants to downgrade an Acer Aspire XC-600 and it seems very simple not => so I expect the same thing to a XC-605. (I'm trying a bit of research before plunging).

Here is a summary on how to get Windows on an Acer Aspire XC-600 from this post:

1 completely turns off your computer.

    2. turn on the system. As soon as the first logo screen appears, immediately press DELETE to enter BIOS.

    3. use the right arrow key to select the authentication.

    4. with secure boot is highlighted, press ENTER, and then press the arrow down to select the people with reduced mobility.

    5. use the right arrow key to select Boot Options.

    6. with CSM launch highlighted, press enter and use the arrow down to select always.

    7. press ENTER.

    8. press on the F10 key to save the changes and reboot the system

9 re - enter the BIOS by pressing DELETE and go to the Advanced menu.

10 go down in the Integrated Peripherals menu.

11 change onboard SATA Native IDE mode.

    12. press on the F10 key to save the changes and reboot the system

By doing this, you can, since the Win7 DVD, delete all existing partitions and not all errors not being able to install on this HARD drive.

After installing Win7 the only drivers Win7 not found were the wired LAN, card reader Realtek USB and SM Bus controller. (On the XC-600)

My understanding is that Win 7 use Win drivers 8 without a problem. So I used the devices I've found a similar driver on the Acer Aspire XC-605 issue.

That computer has SLIC 3.0, & Secure Boot UEFI, is why a full erase of the HDD is required; as with UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) & Secure Boot-online Bios "wife" the hard to the motherboard. At least that's what I discovered to date. I generally supported the recovery partitions on OEM boxes like an insurance-online just in case that something goes wrong, and I can't install the desired OS. Of course wipe everything clean denies this useful backup. Comments please?

PS - I forgot to mention that my boyfriend he filed yesterday afternoon while I was helping my mom with lights. He was still in the box.

The box was brand new! -It never has been started! I couldn't believe he didn't even try to make 8 on this so I called him again, and he said he was certain that he would not win 8. So I did the same as above for a XC-600 and it blew.

However if you replace onboard SATA Native IDE mode as shown above in 11, Windows will not let you install from a USB key as it crashes during the expansion of the files to 1% on the XC-605. If you use a disc of 7 win he advises you immediately after you size the partition to the OS and tell him to install there, that the drive is not configured in the Bios to be Bootable. He definition back to ACHI authorized Win 7 must be installed on the disk (I didn't try the Stick but this probably would have worked as well).

There were a few more necessary than the XC-600 above - drivers so I installed all drivers 8 Win from the Acer site, and they all worked, but there is only one device listed in the Device Manager, under other devices-online (USB) Universal Serial Bus controller that has a yellow triangle next to him. He doesn't have a driver that are associated with and Windows Update does not find it. I find it strange that he sees it as a USB controller because as all USB ports now operate. I think that Windows has erred in the detection of this device so I am headed in that direction now.

I tried the function of automatic detection of Acer and it says to activate a Bluetooth, Lan and Wireless LAN and try to detect again. So I enabled the wireless connection, (one is connected to Wired?) but I'll try to find something Bluetooth to turn on that, but I think it's just a Kipper.

I hope someone will chime and advise how to determine this last device is before I get all my hair...

    Thanks for reading...

I went to Intels here and download a new Chipset for windows 7 (chipset 10.0.13 PV installation). That will fix the problem with (USB) Universal Serial Bus controller. Triangle yellow no more... I hope it works for you 2. /Kak PC-SUPPORT Sweden

So, it's a 2 GB module and one 4 GB. Different manufacture.

    My question is:

What are the maximum size (GB) and speed (MHZ) that supports this laptop? And should I upgrade with two modules of the same size, or can I have 1 module with the maximum allowed size? For example, 2x4gb or 1x8GB?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Kind regards.

In fact, you have 2 sticks of memory 667 MHz. In dual channel, it means to 1333 MHz.

    Specifications of aspire V3 - 571 G-9686:

    Chipset: Mobile Intel HM77 Express.

    Processor: Intel Core i7-3632QM

Integrated graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M - 2 GB RAM DDR3

You can upgrade up to 8 GB (2x4gb) and Max frequency 1600 MHz. For example: If you install a single stick of 4 GB - 1600 MHz, it is single-channel: 1600/2 = 800 MHz.
