Acer Iconia a500

Hi, I have an Acer a500 Tablet and have had trouble with the internet. I can't update via internet, either, I always get the message of network coverage is currently poor no matter how near my router I am. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I have the latest version of the firmware. I have android 4.0.3 and version of the ACER_AV041_A500_RV05RC01_PA_CUS1 image. If you can help that would be great! Thank you!

Then, it's him. It will pull in a file named update.zip that you place (extracted) to the root of your SD card. You start in recovery mode and it have to do the update.

  • My Tablet Acer Iconia A500 network with my PC and stream movies does

I have an Acer Iconia A500 tablet which is connected to the internet at home through my Netgear N150 Wireless Modem Router.

The router also has a 2 x 32-bit Windows 7 computers connected through an ethernet cable, and they are connected to each other, that is to say: they play well and can see each other files, use each other printers etc..

I have a lot of films and videos on a hard drive of the PC and my question is: if I can set up my tablet to * SEE * or the other 2 in PC network, access to their hard drives and stream movies on my Tablet while I sit outside or anywhere elsewhere in the House?

Here is a link to an article that shows how to use an application to access Windows file from an Android device shares... Insertion of the usual disclaimer that I've not actually done it myself, it might be worth a try.

  • Acer Iconia A500 AC adapter/charger

Power supply/charger cord provided with my A500 when I bought it deconstructed after several months. I ordered what was described as a true charger Acer for the A500 on ebay or Amazon or somewhere. He worked for a while, but it never enters the port as the original one. He goes in the part of path and stops.

It's OK for a while, but lately, he has stopped charging the tablet. I used to be able to get to load if I waved and fanagled is glued and just then the cord in place while it loaded so he couldn't move. But now I can not find any position where it will charge.

I want to replace the charger with a new genuine Acer charger. I went to BestBuy, Geek Squad and Radio Shack, but incredibly, none of these places have a male plug charger that fits into the port on my tablet. I found any number of Chargers that claims to be the real Chargers Acer on the internet, but I need to make sure that the plug is the right one.

Are there specifications for the portion of the charger that would allow me to be really specific about what I want? Is it possible that I have a European version of the plug? How will I know? Or do I just take a chance and order one and see if it fits well?

Have you checked our online store? Here is a link to the map that we have qualified for the A500.

  • Iconia A500 - abandonment to chance internet connection

I got this Acer Iconia A500 for quite awhile. I love this little tablet and never had a problem since the purchase. However, over the last 2 weeks, he started the Internet randomly-'No Internet Connection'. I can be in the same room as the router and it loses connection, even with a signal strong. During this time, all my other devices are still connected to the Wifi. Passing off the coast and on the Tablet does not work. In order to reset the connection, I have to maually shut down the router and power back on. Needless to say it's very aggravating to do this 10 times a day. I don't want to reset to factory settings and lost all my saved apps and docs and programs. I use android 4.0.3.  Does anyone else have this problem and have you found a resolution?

If the worst case scenario is that I have to live with it, I don't want to. I'll switch to a Galaxy and recant Acer permanently. Help!

    What is its aggravation.

There are two sides to look at when you are troubleshooting a problem: software and hardware.

The simpler of the two to eliminate generally is on the software side.  This is easily achieved by recharging the system.

Should you back up your data, of course.  The good thing about Android is that it is relatively easy to put the applications installed on the system.

The other side is the material, which I wouldn't be able to do anything on the community.  You need to talk to your local Acer technical support to set up a repair if you have a hardware failure.

If the card has worked without problems for a long period of time and suddenly has problems, you can remove the software, but if it persists, it is probably a hardware problem.

  • Acer Iconia A3 - A10: is it possible to downgrade to Android Jelly Bean?

    Hello

I upgraded my Acer Iconia A3 - A10 of Jelly Bean to Kitkat a few days ago. Not happy at all. Many applications running too slow, wifi doesn't work well, etc.

I did a factory data reset but my Tablet Android 4.4.2 lights. Is this normal?

Is it possible to downgrade to Jelly Bean, the version that came with my Tablet? How to do?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

OS installed at the factory reset in Android, does not get the unit to the factory, it resets the same default version, this is quite normal. But if you want to return to JB, yes it is possible if you can find the image @ acer support, as now, the image is not available, maybe you need to wait, or could contact support for assistance, Cheers,.

  • Acer iconia a100 update fails "network coverage is currently poor."

My Acer Iconia A100 has Android 4.0.3 and all updates fail with the message:

    Network coverage is currently low

but it is not 100%, and all other network functions work fine.

I see a LOT of problems, debate and questions with this same error on models Iconia tab, but so far no clear solution.

Is this one? or is this just an orphan machine?

Their support website lists nothing available for the A-100.

Your version is the latest for PA_CUS1.

the documentation is normally in the update zip file.

  • Tablet unloading / loading too fast of Acer Iconia A1-713.

Bought an acer Iconia tab 7 (A1-713) a little over a month. Now battery is suddenly dump / reload too quickly. Has implemented to update the KitKat for a long time, so don't think this is the issue, but now the battery dies even if its display of 75% with a few minutes of reading simple docs in offline mode. Need help... Please!

I'm afraid it sounds like a hardware failure with the battery. Contact Acer support and they will repair it for you.

  • Acer Iconia tab upgrade 10 (A3 - A20)

I received a notification to upgrade my tablet, after the upgrade, it is still on KitKat, thought that it would be upgraded to lollipop as mentioned on: http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/reviews/tablets/3601426/acer-iconia-tab-10-review/

It is not an official release date on the patience of lollipop update so... need.

Moreover, sometimes little updates on the previous version are necessary before a new version (KitKat of Lollipop)

  • Manual keyboard Acer Iconia W700-6499

My Acer Iconia W700-6499 came with an Acer toteable stand covered with leather with a built-in keyboard.  There is no paper or electronic manual covering this accessory.  I couldn't find one online.  The problem is that I would like to know how to engage the switch next to the battery lights on the keyboard.  There must be a way to turn it off, or just drains the battery internal when the Tablet is in the stand and not connected on the support in plastic.  someone had this problem?

I found the "Acer keyboard case Addedum" document that accompanies my W700.  The case has the model # KT - 1252 and there are a few entries in the section Archives 2013 these discussion Forums.  I don't see a way to attach the document but may be able to copy / paste If someone is desperate.

  • Acer Iconia (W1-810) 8W - boot from USB...

    Hello world
I have an Acer Iconia 8W (W1-810), and I tried to install another OS through my USB key. I already changed the boot order in the bios and secure boot disabled, but I'm not able to start. Y at - it a boot to access menu, if yes, how to reach it, if not, how can I start the USB? Thanks in advance.

Edit: I activated the F12 boot menu and tried a USB pen create fom Universal USB install (which is what I always use to install Ubuntu on a PC) and Intel on the other with Win32 Disk Imager (with Android Ivy-bridge of the Intel Web site). Menu of startup only recognizes Windows...

Edit 2: updated the BIOS to 1.06, installed rEFInd on Windows, nothing... Does not seem reccogize what USB deviced outside Windows...

Discovered that there is a single machine 32-bit EFI. Managed to adapt the Ubuntu image to have a 32-bit efi loader and managed to start the USB key. Always difficult to install but at least I'm in.
