• Acer keyboard switch 10 entering sleepmode?

  I don't have a Switch 10, but had a chance to use one for several weeks when they released first. The USB device is listed (I think) under HID, ot Human Interface Devices. He has not called a keyboard, but a USB device, and when you talk about properties on it, you should see a power management tab.

  Is this a new problem or was heppening since you have the keyboard? From what you describe, my first thought is that it's a faulty keyboard. You can check with the Acer support page, because they might have a solution to this problem.

• Manual keyboard Acer Iconia W700-6499

  My Acer Iconia W700-6499 came with an Acer toteable stand covered with leather with a built-in keyboard.  There is no paper or electronic manual covering this accessory.  I couldn't find one online.  The problem is that I would like to know how to engage the switch next to the battery lights on the keyboard.  There must be a way to turn it off, or just drains the battery internal when the Tablet is in the stand and not connected on the support in plastic.  someone had this problem?

  I found the "Acer keyboard case Addedum" document that accompanies my W700.  The case has the model # KT - 1252 and there are a few entries in the section Archives 2013 these discussion Forums.  I don't see a way to attach the document but may be able to copy / paste If someone is desperate.

  You can enable or disable your network with a combination of keys on your keyboard, or with a dedicated wireless switch wireless. Acer laptops and netbooks, the following methods are used:

  • A dedicated button located above the keyboard.
  • A rocker switch, located on the front or the side of the unit.
  • The FN and the key with the icon wireless on your keyboard. Usually, the Fn + F3 key combination is used.

  The wireless key can be identified with one of the following icons on or nearby:

  

  Please consult your user manual on how to enable or disable the networks without wire on your specific model.

  When you turn on the wireless feature, a LED on or near the button or toggle switch turns on or a symbol is displayed on your screen.

  NOTE: On models with the slide switch, the switch itself can return to its original position after the wireless function is enabled. This is normal and does not mean that the wireless feature has been disabled.

  THIS CORRECTS THE PROBLEM?

  If your system may detect the available wireless network, the wireless network is enabled. If you cannot connect to a network, visit the Acer problems with wireless networkknowledge base article.

I pressed ENTER and nothing happened; PC remained in mode 'sleep'. About half of the time my keyboard works normally. Other half it does not at all. If I then restart my PC. the keyboard works normally, at least for a while. I tried to unplug the PS2 Connector, then repluging, but it doesn't matter. Sometimes, I was hoping to be able to separate the display and place it in a location which is at eye height and leave the keyboard on the desktop and connect the keyboard to the screen via a USB cable. USB connections tend to either you allow to use them as a host to a USB device (for example, a USB port on a PC) or as a client to this host (for example the USB connectors located on a mouse or a keyboard). Your keyboard has a connection on the side which connects to the computer that acts as a client and a port on the side which acts as a host. You cannot move the functions...

  I have acer aspire 5750g and I plan to change my keyboard for acer aspire keyboard v5-531. I know they don't look the same, but I want that is because of the design and lighting. So my question is can I connect it to my laptop, it is same connector and its backlight won't work because my keyboard curent have no backlight?   No, because they are two very different types of keyboard and are not interchangeable. You wouldn't be able to mount the v5-531 keyboard on your 5750g properly.
