Acer W4 820 64 GB upgrade W10 problem

I've been wait for MS app to tell me I can upgrade. I hope that I will avoid any problems. Hope = error.
Windows 10 installed ok. But the first time when it is put in place it just keep restarting the Tablet over and over again.

Well well know? "Refresh/Reset your PC ' does not. My Tablet has a recovery partition. How can I run?

Update: I go in safe mode...

Update 2: after several restart I got error 0 xC0000001

Solved by installing use the USB Win10. (USB hub was necessary because the touchscreen does not work) I was able to get off at Win8.1 with all my data and settings. Just like before.

I just put Aspire R7 my daughter (15) windows 10. All is well except that the contact and the active digitizer not working.

But I see not everything which touches the senses Ntrig Duo. Maybe now that Microsoft Ntrig branch is under a different name. I have a stylus compatible HID , installed with the latest driver for microsoft in 2006.

My next step would be to uninstall the update W10 to see themselves makes me touch and digitizer to return, but I would try rather all I can under W10 first.

    Any suggestions welcome

    Thank you

I had the same problem, there was repititve 'ghost touch' along the top of the screen. I thought that this was due to the defective touchscreen and I wanted to order a new screen. but really, somehow the driver I downloaded, fixed it for me.

Perhaps, windows replaced the driver n-trig that you have installed, and he brought the question?  I suspect this is what happened in your case, it has been proven that the driver solves the problem, that, he returned. Windows 10 is known to replace the appropriate drivers by defective of microsoft (particularly his driver) updates.

THE ONLY WAY to ensure that it is NOT your touch screen in place, is to reinstall windows fresh back 8. because we had this issue at the time in windows 8. only the windows 10 touchscreen in place because of bad driver.

in any case, I'm still on windows 10 with the latest drivers. everything works fine since I installed the driver n-trig at the time

  • Acer Aspire TimelineX 5830TG RAM upgrade

    Hi all

I intend to improve my RAM to 3 GB to 8 GB on Acer Aspire TimelineX 5830TG.

I intend to use 4 GB DDR3 1600 Mhz Laptop Ram CL11 PC3-12800 1600 MHz on the two slots.
I wanted to know if this laptop supports this RAM which is a frequency of 1600 Mhz.

    Has anyone tried this upgrade?

    Hi all

After my research, I found that acer supports maximum 8 GB 1333 Mhz RAM, which is 4 GB / slot for my laptop (5830TG).

    Please note the points below.

1 Max RAM memory supported by "Intel Core i5 2410 M' 16 GB is only acer only recommeds and supports 8 GB RAM

    2. the HM65 Express Chipset supports 16 GB of RAM but acer only recommends and supports 8 GB RAM

    3. the frequency max RAM supported by acer 1333 Mhz, 1600 MHz only is not supported since the BIOS does not allow to use as a guy mentioned in a forum. If you want to use 1600 MHz RAM then you need Flash the BIOS that is not the right thing, because there are problems of heat and laptop could stop working and it is in any case not tested and certified by acer.

This applies to anyone whose laptop computer contains "Intel HM65 Express Chipset' motherboard and processor 'Intel Core - i5 2410 M'.

I write so that it will be a reference for me and people like me who are looking to upgrade their RAM.

I plan to buy "Crucial 8 GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 FSB 1333 (PC3-10600) CL9 SODIMM 204-pin Notebook Memory Modules 1.5V. I will update my experience with this RAM after that some 4 to 6 months so if any of you are planning to upgrade can probably treat this as a starting reference.

    Thank you people.

  • HP Z200: Z200 Workstation processor Upgrade - having problems

    Hello

I have a workstation Z200 has been great without any problem. It currently has the i5-660 processor installed.  A week ago, I ordered a processor Xeon X 3470 online... Which is one of the processors tested and compatible with the Z200.

Told that the processor has been tested by a working machine and no problem.

    Received today the processor.

So I turned off the machine, unplugged everything. Removed the old processor. Clean the radiator with the thermal compound remover. Assured that the head of the processor was impeccable.  Inspect all connection on the processor and the power outlet.  Everything checked out great.  Installed the processor, apply the thermal paste. Installed the heatsink.

Plug everything back in and press the power button... Power led goes blue for 2 seconds... Then turns red and blurts out 5 beeps in 1 second burst. Then start again...

I tried swapping and relocation of the ram, the same question.  I removed the video card and used the edge. same question. I turned off the unit, pulled out all the ram left it unplugged for some time, reset the cmos. Returned later plugged it all back in and still beeps.

Tried to put in place the processor and still beeps...

I took out the processor, new installed the old and runs like a champ!

Any ideas on what could be the problem?

Given that you were the only kind enough to respond.  I wanted to return my staus update for you...

    I returned this processor...

I bought a new one and the system boots without problem!

Same CPU type and age and no problem!

I have messaged the seller of the business of first transformation on the back. He reported that the processor did not work for him as well...

The Xeon I upgraded just runs circles around the i5 in what I got here!  The machine is so much faster in the games and the process!  I'm a fan of Xeon now!

So if you ever see someone point out simliar like my past issues... Hopfully, this helps you!

  • Lenovo B540 8 upgrade WIndows: problems of Bluetooth

Hello. I have a B540 Ideacentre. Just upgraded to Windows 8. Bluetooth for the keyboard and the mouse works fine. However, I can no longer connect my phone via bluetooth. When I try to add a device, no device is discoverable. In addition, there is no longer any device bluetooth in my device manager (it has been). I tried to update the drivers of Lenovo, but without success. Anyone with the same problem?

Finally managed to do work. In the download folder, found the Win64 folder. In this folder, find the file inst.exe and ran as administrator. Found this solution on another table for another computer.

  • EliteBook 820 G1: RAM upgrades

I recently tried an upgrade to 16 GB RAM.They were bought as a set from ADATA, and on the chip it reads DDR3 1600(11) 8GX16 SO-DIMM. I do realize the chips run much faster than the standard ones that comewith the unit, (the unit came with 4GB running at 1333mHz, and I upgraded it to 8GB while I have 2x more RAM running at 1600mHz), but I am looking to upgrade thissystem to a light unit I can use for engineering tools, so the extra speed is very important to me.

After installing the chips, the unit a UEFI warning screen came up on bootup saying there were invalid DDR3 RAM chips in the system. I then had a choiceto shut down or continue running. I picked the continue running as I didn'tsee any major issues, and I knew the system would stay in a cool area. However the factI would have to deal with that screen everytime I boot the system is a pain.

Is there a true problem I may not be awareof, perhaps due to the speed of the chips themselves burning something out? Or is it simply the system doing a check for certain brands of memory? If that is the case, is there a way to shut off the UEFI warning screen since there is not an issuethat needs to be dealt with?

Fortunately, a support person finally found the specs for this device.  It turns out that, even if the system can handle 16 GB of RAM, it was not for that amount, it was made only to 8 GB.  However, in view of the fact, I can get a drive much more for her for a ridiculously low price, more CPU running at 2.5 GHz, I can still do what I have to do with the system.  I'll just add a SD card to the mix for SDBoost, and I'll be OK.

  • Hi there I have an acer aspire one and I have a problem with my wireless connection.

Hi there I have an acer aspire one and I have problems with my wireless connection.it is connected, but I can't use internet.any thoughts? Thank you

A look at the "front" face, under the lip of the keyboard, similar to where a lock would be on a laptop. There is here a cursor that is not a lock, but it is a switch that activates / deactivates him wireless on and outside. Slide it on until it turns on the light above it (with the logo of the antenna), indicating wireless is turned on and drag it again to turn it off.

If your computer has 2 RAM slots & will support up to 8 GB, then each slot will accept only the 4 GB.

You can buy a 4 GB key compatible to work with your existing module.

  • Acer Aspire One d270 ram upgrade

I recently bought a netbook Acer Aspire One D270-1806. It comes with 1 GB of Ram.

I'm looking for this move to 2 GB. I could not find a service manual for this netbook.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

I've seen some posts saying that the upgrade of ram D270 was deemed not user replaceable. Although Acer may have tried not user replaceable; It is altogether. It was so easy. I went on the standard of 1 GB of Ram for a 2 GB key in about 10 minutes.

  • Acer c740 constantly blocked after upgrade SSD

    Hi all

I bought a ZTC NGFF m2 64 GB SSD for storage more in Ubuntu. After I installed the Chrome OS, the computer sees that I increased my storage very well, but I have a consistent crashes and slow download speed. Sometimes the screen freezes and responds more just, but most of the time, the screen goes all black (although blue stays on). From there on, I have to press the power button to reset the Chromebook.

I returned the SSD for a new on Amazon, but the new SSD does exactly the same thing. If I go back to the stock SSD, all problems disappear. On Amazon, the SSD is very popular with the Chromebook Acer (version c720) and there were no complaints about it, as I had so the chances of getting the clothes back to back seems quite low.

    Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply. I ended up buying a MyDigitalSSD instead of the ZTC and it seems to have done the trick. I used the application Chrome recovery on each attempt.

For the last SSD, at the end of the installation of ChromeOS for the new SSD, there are two updates of firmware back to back that had to take place before things were fully functional. (ie: download update at a slow speed, restart your computer, download the second update at a slow speed, update the computer and then the internet speed was back to normal). I have a refurb Acer c740 so maybe it's a little more finnacky than regular models.
