Achieve the highest resolution of the camera

Hi all, I am developing an application that uses the class of the camera to capture images.

I use this code

Initialization

Camera = Camera.getCamera("0");
camera.setQuality (0, 100);
camera.setMode (width, height, fps);
video = new Video (width, height);
addChild (video);

captures some

var snapshotBitmapData:BitmapData = new BitmapData (camera.width, camera.height);
snapshotBitmapData.draw (video);

The problem is that I can't reach the 'true' resolution of the camera with this code, I can't get the resolution of the height and the width of the camera.

Everyone please? Thanks a bunch

    Hello!

    I bought Toshiba G50 - 12K and I have the first problem. LCD screen resolution is 1920 x 1080, and on it, everything is very nice and very strong. But when I would use any other screen resolution isn't very nice. So, I have the question:

    1. it is normal that the screen it is usable only in fullHD resolution?
    2. I may have my instaled as standard pnp monitor lcd is all drivers for this lcd? I have not found anything on the site of thoshiba.
    3. maybe graphics card never have pilots? I changed from the toshiba site.

    Hello

    Don t worry buddy, that's normal! :)

    All LCD monitors have only a very good image quality and a high sharpness on the highest resolution of the screen, in your case, 1920 x 1080. All other resolutions are not very clear due a hardware limitation of this technology to monitor. So, I can recommend this Wikipedia article:

    I think that this says something and so you n t need another monitor or graphics card driver.

  • The camera resolution

    I bought the Sony Xperia Z5 because of the excellent image quality when it comes to the camera, I set the 23 MP resolution to get the best out of my photos.

    To my shock and surprise of many of my pictures are shot in low resolution (8MP) cam for a reason because any will automatically switch to that resolution without reference to me, even after adjusting it the first time that I've faced this problem!

    If you set a higher resolution than auto, i.e. the quick resolution of this launch will shoot.

  • Display of Windows Vista, the icons and all THE GRAPHICS suddenly pixelated, appear low quality at the highest resolution and colors

    Please help, out of nowhere on my screen - background, all icons, all graphics (including the Explorer and other programs) have become rough and pixelated and seem very low qualty even if my display is set to the highest resolution management settings and color. I've not been able to find a way to restore and have no idea why it is doing this in the first place. It's really bothering me, it's hard to read (text appears fuzzy and broken up, not smooth and sharp, icons have white or another pixelation around them and do not have the 'look of glass'.) I was wondering if one of the old games my children changed my settings somewhere but I've lived every control panel I find and have not been able to correct the problem.  Even the buttons (back, forward, refresh, etc.) in Explorer have bad pixelation. That's happened? Help! :) Thank you

    I would also update the drivers, firmware or software for your monitor at the same time.  Also, if you have another monitor, swap them to see if the problem goes away or moves - then we can pretty much reduce the question to the screen and not the video card (and if the updated drivers do not resolve this problem, then it's a hardware problem and you can either take a workshop of computer service repair or simply a replacement of purchase screen.)

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Incompatibility: features/resolution of the camera of has_feature/specifications and features/usable resolution

    I was one native app other than entertainment that uses the camera.  A requirement of my application is the mode of the camera on manual focus.

    My version of Z10 10.1.0.4181 returns true for camera_has_feature (CAMERA_FEATURE_MANUALFOCUS).

    Very well, but when I try camera_set_focus_mode (_camera, CAMERA_FOCUSMODE_MANUAL) it returns CAMERA_EOPNOTSUPP.

    Manual focus is supported?  I was hoping to use the manual_step functions.

    In addition, there are 3 resolutions supported according to camera_get_photo_output_resolutions photo.

    2448 x 3264 (8 megapixels)

    1836 x 3264 (6 Megapixels and the dimensions of the photo of the pictures taken by the Z10 default camera app).

    2448 x 2448

    The 6 megapixel size camera works fine, but when I tried starting 2448 x 3264 the viewfinder will fail with CAMERA_EINVAL.   It is very worrying that if the Z10 only supports 8-megapixel photos, why is he announced to to do?  Am I missing something about the stabilization or some settings, I'm not aware of?

    Hi, I was using CAMERA_UNIT_REAR.

    I discovered what was wrong in both cases:

    1. in an attempt to set the manual focus mode and is CAMERA_EOPNOTSUPP.   You must start the front camera, affecting first the mode of development.  Then it works.   I'm not sure if it's in the documentation.

    2 duh, the viewfinder aspect ratio must be identical to the picture you want to take.  My mistake.

    Tried to copy a too large video from my camera.  Message says 'current picture cannot be copied' when I looked up the answers in 'help' it says connect the camera using the (MSC) usb mass storage class, and then use windows Explorer to copy the image to computer.  Please help me understand this.  I have to download or update a driver to do this?  Should I buy something?  Please don't laugh, but I'm lost.  All those who take the time to give me some step by step instructions would be greatly appreciated.

    Transfer of files from digital camera fails

    Symptom 3:

    When you try to transfer a single large file from a USB PTP camera to local hard disk drive (HDD) using the scanner and Camera Wizard, the file transfer does not immediately, and you receive the following error message:

    Scanner and camera Assistant the current image have not can be copied.
    To copy this image, click "Try Again." To no longer deal, click "Cancel".

    If you click Retry, returns the error message.

    Problem 3 occurs because an error occurs in the scanner and Camera Wizard

    Resolution:
    You can connect the camera using USB Mass Storage Class (MSC) instead of PTP. Then, transfer large files using Windows Explorer.

    When you connect your camera, it can map device memory as a player external and it give a letter under 'Computer' OR it can be configured to do this in the configuration menu of the camera.  Once you have a drive letter assigned under 'Computer' for the camera, locate the drive in question for the file you want and copy to your computer to office/etc in the same way you would any other file.

    Hi Prodigy1,

    There is a limit of 8 megapixels, because the low light Exmor RS capabilities are optimized around this resolution. So to change the resolution of 8 megapixels or less and this should work.

  • Windows 7 Ultimate, computer laptop Acer Aspire E15 built into the camera problem.

    I have a strange problem.

    I am running

    The laptop model is

    and first of all, as you can see - Acer only provides drivers for this model of laptop for windows 8, which is crazy because for ex I am running windows 7 on it or what do I do if I want to downgrade to windows XP, how to get drivers for my laptop?

    So my web cam driver was automatically installed with windows, BUT there is a problem.

    My camera only works with Skype and Firefox/Chrome.

    Skype recognizes it normally:

    but no other software can find and use the camera.

    webcam7 even after choosing the webcam as a source gives just a black screen:

    In addition to this, the windows software standard that normally comes with the windows called Camera - does not exist.

    The camera appears under devices.

    I tried to uninstall the driver. Install a new one. I tried everything I could find online, and nothing seems to work.

    It's almost a new laptop and it's crazy that I can't use such a common feature as the webcam.

    I'll send the same message to the customer of the Acers and see what is going, they say, but I reached a wall and do not know which can then do?

    TNX for taking the time to read this and any effort to help in the future :)

    Please provide a detailed description of the issue with the screen shots.

    I certainly understand the inconvenience caused to you. However, I appreciate really all your efforts towards the resolution of the problem.

    In order to understand the issue more clearly, I'll ask you to provide me with the following information.

    1. You did it all hardware or software change on the computer?

    There could be a possibility that this issue would have occurred due to the damaged in the system device drivers.

    I want to provide you with the information that most Acer computers are preinstalled webcam application supplied by the manufacturer with the device. Uninstall and reinstall this application has helped many users of Acer for this problem to be solved.

    I suggest you follow the procedure recommended in the article given below for that matter Acer support.

  • What are the appropriate steps to rotate the viewfinder of the camera?

    Another screen problem is driving me crazy.

    I'm quite confused as to what are appropriate measures to turn the viewfinder window when the user rotates the device.

    I seem to be able to get things market during the passage of a landscape to a landscape upside.  But to me something else gives basically the things that I can't begin to describe.  For example, when I go from landscape to portrait, I always get the bottom half of the screen to be the dark tone and the view backwards.

    Say vf_win is the window of the viewfinder and the size is the size of the vf_win and the angle is the angle of rotation new peripheral.

    So I first turn to the viewfinder window by

    screen_set_window_property_iv(vf_win, SCREEN_PROPERTY_SOURCE_SIZE, size);
    screen_set_window_property_iv(vf_win, SCREEN_PROPERTY_BUFFER_SIZE, size);
    rc = screen_set_window_property_iv(vf_win, SCREEN_PROPERTY_ROTATION, &angle);

    then rotate the camera by means of

    rc = camera_set_device_orientation(handle, angle);
    rc = camera_set_videovf_property( handle, CAMERA_IMGPROP_ROTATION, &angle);

    ?

    I think the above is certainly false since I couldn't get the results I wanted.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    The sample application does not work quite right when launched in portrait on the playbook, because the default configuration of the camera is for landscape.  Down in the device drivers, we don't really know anything about how the device is held and what is intention of the user/application, so we rely on the app by telling us a lot of information to make things.  Don't forget, this is the API of the lowest level available for access to the camera.  There is an API of Cascades photo being developed which encapsulates C API to the top and tries to simlify things at the expense of flexibility.

    On PB, the video viewfinder frames 1920 x 1080 by default, but several other formats are supported (this whole landscape well!).  Use camera_get_video_vf_resolutions() to retrieve the complete list.  If you need to make in a picture window, you must specify either a rotation of output using camera_set_videovf_property (handle, CAMERA_IMGPROP_ROTATION, 90 or 270) or by adjusting your rotation of window screen using screen_set_window_property_iv (win, SCREEN_PROPERTY_ROTATION, 90 or 270) and optionally resize the window by using SCREEN_PROPERTY_SIZE.

    The first option above actually produces a video image 1080 x 1920 returned in a window of the non-tourne screen.  The second option is still dealing with buffers of window of 1920 x 1080, but when the window is composite, it is blitted to the side.  We have 2 ways of doing this is because we have a requirement to be able to save videos in formats portrait without having to rely on the advice of metadata to display the videos properly as Apple or Android have to do (this is the reason for the 1st method).  For the second method (form) this is because not all applications require the video must rotate, nor necessarily all hardware platforms support video output in this mode.

    To answer your last question - definition of resolution 1024 x 576 vf and a rotation of 90 on playbook will give the following result:

    -buffers that have a width of 576 and a height of 1024 pixels of video output.

    -You can then display the viewfinder in a window size 576 x 1024 (or however you choose to scale)

    -buffers sent by the sensor of the camera would be rotated 90 degrees to the right before being delivered through these pads size 576 x 1024

    Represent it visually?

    If you keep the playbook in house orientation and a person stood in front of the camera, the image would rotate 90 degrees to the right so that their head is located to the right of the frame and feet to the left.

    How is it useful?

    If you happened to take the playbook oriented 90 degrees counterclockwise (eg. logo blackberry is on the right side) and displays this buffer image 576 x 1024, head of the person would now be at the top of the screen.

    Once again, this can easily get somewhat confusing and really benefits greatly from visuals.  I keep a stack of post-it notes at hand and am constantly draw lines of frame and stick men on them and turning them accordingly

    See you soon,.

  • More large viewfinder of the camera to reduce size of output?

    When you change the size of the video output of the images from the camera (reminder) I had to change the size of the camera and viewfinder... But is there a way to keep the large poster viewfinder? I can't open two viewfinders?

    Unfortunately, no.  The same buffers on the screen are used for video coding on platforms what CAMERA_FEATURE_PREVIEWISVIDEO report (for example. PlayBook and Dev Alpha).  It is a hardware limitation.  We have roughed - in support of new hardware that may be able to provide 2 streams of various sizes, that's why you notice that you need to change 2 settings.

    You are free to the size of your viewfinder window larger than the actual resolution however.  The same way as a viewfinder 1080 p does not really take on the screen, you can upscale a small viewfinder simply update the properties of the window (or via a setting of comparable foreign window control waterfall).

    See you soon,.
