  • Application of camera settings/adjustments to the RAW images

    Hi all

I recently bought a new camera (Canon 600 d) and am shooting in RAW + jpg.

I do many settings on the device (exhibition, creative effects, etc.) that apply to the fine JPG format.  Is there a way to apply to the RAW image also (in LR) without changing any settings manually using the module to 'develop '?  For example, I can right-click on a RAW image and select 'Apply the settings of the camera' or something of the sort?

On a side note, is it possible to ask to lightroom to simply use the JPG version rather than the RAW version (on a basis individual photo)?  Lightroom as I currently put in place using the JPG only in preview.

Don't know if it's relevant, but I use the latest Lightroom 3.x on Vista.

    Any help appreciated,

    Peter

Lol... the camera settings other than the white balance and ISO are not used by Lightroom. You can use the JPEG format as a guide to make your adjustments and if you constantly do the same settings, create a preset to apply to images.

one or more activex controls couold appears no not because either:

    (1) your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page.

    (2) you have blocked an editor of one of the controls.

As a result this page may not display correctly.

    Hi euriskofiles,

The problem may occur if the security settings for the Local computer zone are configured to prevent the ActiveX content to run.

Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. Steps to follow:

    (a) click Start, click run, type regedit, and then click OK.

In addition, you receive this message at other times when you use Microsoft Project. If you do not receive this prompt, type 0 in the value data box.

The values 0, 1 and 3 are associated with the following behavior:

o 0 = on, or the action is possible

    o 1 = Prompt

o 3 = disabled, or action is not allowed

    (e) exit the registry editor.

See if that helps. Kind regards

  • One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because that is: 1) your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page, or 2) you blocked an editor of one of the controls

Well this problem started a week ago. When computer first starts or restarts (I did not open any program still!) I get this message,

One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because that is: 1) your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page, or 2) you blocked an editor of one of the controls

I know this usually occurs with internet explore, but as I said I do not have anything yet open. I've activated all the active X controls in internet explore with no luck. I searched the web for active x forums and blocked the editor and followed all the instructions in the error message (most of them see enabling active x) but without success. I am an advanced user (15 years and more), but it has left speechless me. If I try to open "Services", I get the same error. When I opened my anti virus, it opens but it is just a blank page. I know that my anti virus is working well.  Also if I open internet explorer, I get a blank page, if I go to a website (enter it or go to my favorites) it works fine. I've deleted all the temp, historical, cookies etc. etc. (use CC Cleaner and other programs to clean) but if reopened once again it says white. If I use help and you want to see a help topic that it is said (may not display due to problems of congestion or network, check connection) but internet works fine. I know that I have not a virus (a lot of people in the forums think it) I scanned with Bitdefender, Eset Nod32, Super Anti Spyware pro, Malaware Anti Malawarebytes, Spybot, Stopzilla, etc. etc. and did not find a virus (in safe mode) there are many people on the web with the same problem (with the same and some with different programs). This problem seems to be random (does not affect a certain program) I tried for a week now and I'm stumped! Anybody have ideas that I heard yet?

    Thank you if you do!

    Hi Morksr2d2,

As you mentioned that the problem reappears as soon as you run the anti-virus program, it seems that we found the cause of these error messages at startup.  I would like to recommend that you Uninstall the antivirus & check if the problem reappears. This should also allow you to make changes on the services tab in system configuration utility.

    Later, reinstall the antivirus program.

Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know.

  • The problem "your current security settings do not allow this action" when I want to open the swf file in Windows Media Player.

How to solve the problem when I want to open the swf file in windows media player? There, half year, when I click on a swf file, it could automatically play in Windows Media Player.

Now when I want to open a SWF with Windows Media Player, it pops up a window "your current security settings do not allow this action".

How to use watch the video in Windows Media Player swf?

    Hello

SWF is a file format for multimedia, vector graphics and Action Script in the Adobe Flash environment. Origin with future Wave Software, then transferred to Macromedia and then coming under the control of Adobe, SWF files can contain animations or applets of varying degrees of interactivity and function.

SWF functions as the dominant vector "animation" on the Web for graphics display format. It can also be used for programs, games by browser commonly, using ActionScript.

    Method 1:

I suggest open he file in Internet Explorer and check to see if you encounter the same problem.

    Method 2:

When I try to download Skype, I get "your current security settings do not allow this file to download.  Help, I need to be a speaker at a meeting using Skype.

Where did you download Skype, it's here - http://www.skype.com ?  If not, download it here.

Check your AntiVirus package or firewall to ensure that it does not obstruct Skype or the download site.

What browser you download it with? If it is, try a test temporarily lower the security settings for the internet zone, and then see if you can download it. After the test, restore it to its original position. IE - tools - internet options - [security] tab - click on the globe (internet zone) and lower the slider. It downloads then? Don't forget to set the cursor when finished.

Try to download it with another browser such as firefox or opera and see if that can download it.

I have a new problem: sometimes when I'm running just Advanced SystemCare4 offline or when browsing to a web site, all of a sudden I get an error message "your current security settings allow now to download this file." Then my mouse cursor freezes and the computer shuts down automatically. However, this happens when I try not to download anything. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1. I haven't changed my settings of Norton Security Suite, nor have new hardware or software recently added. I'm not on a network. Run the system restore does not resolve the problem.  Thank you.

Well initially, cancel any changes that advanced SystemCare4 has implimented to your system, if it has this ability, then uninstall Advanced SystemCare4, who knows what he's going to have problems.

  • Imports RAW - possible to use cameras settings?

This may be a stupid question, but is it possible to import FIRST files in LR and batch process them using predefined parameters that reflect the camera how he is to say how the camera would create the jpeg format, but obviously without converting them to JPEG?  Can I specify that they must be treated like my Canon EOS70D?

    Thank you

It's one of the problems when you are working with raw images. Each manufacturer of the device stores the parameters of the camera differently in their owners raw file format. Lightroom and Camera Raw (used by Photoshop and Photoshop Elements) are designed to only reads DO NOT these settings because of how differently, they are stored.

There are a few alternatives that will help mitigate this. First of all, you can set one of your images so that it matches the JPEG and then you can create a preset that can either be applied individually or applied to all raw, when imported into Lightroom. This could be a preset or several presets. But only a preset can be applied to the import. The other option would be to adapt one of your raw images so that it matches the JPEG and then save the new camera default values. These default values then apply whenever you import new images or reset the images that have already been imported.

Since you use a Canon camera, in the section of calibration in the develop module, you'll find profiles of different cameras available that are designed to match the different camera settings that you can choose in the camera. These profiles can help get the picture more closely what looks like JPEG.
