  Hi all

  We have round trip basis Greek symbols in text inline like a beta, represented by a tiny 'b' into a symbol. Sounds pretty basic, but I can't seem to work and have read everything I can find about it. I use 9 Fm and record in xml format.

  It seems that framework inherently contain the rules of this card to an entity in XML format, using a code point 0 x 62, or his equivalent of Unicode (U + 03B2U), and that I should not need to create an entity in the DTD that represents, or explicitly add rules.

  On save in XML format, however, the character is not represented properly, showing just one '? ' and of course, is not in the frame either. Can I use the file | Public services | Entry tool to enter the hexadecimal equivalent of spell (which does not record on XML as the entity "& ground;) b") - but courses, the document framework then displays that hex equivalent, rather than the Symbol font real - who will work not for PDF files, of course, and is also difficult for the author to work with.

  I read in several ways of mapping special characters like them - one to create an element of something like SymbolFont, for which ESD apply the correct font, others add specific rules for the rules document.

  XML presets 5 entities for special characters that are used in the tag: lt, gt, apos, amp, winding all other entities referenced must be declared in the DTD or in the external subset identified by an external identifier in the document type declaration or in the subset internal, the declaration contains:

  [externalId root
        declarations in the internal subset
  ]>

  This requirement makes sense. All entities that are not defined in the recommendation of XML itself should be defined somewhere. However, it is has a lot of characters commonly used which often appear in XML documents. The SGML standard defines 19 sets of these special characters. These public ISO entity sets are fairly ubiquitous in SGML and XML documents as well. One of them is ISOgrk1, used for Greek letters. Publicly available such as DocBook DTD often include all ISO 19 public entity sets. Thus, while the entities must be declared in the DTD, there are methods commonly accepted to do.

  Define an entity is not sufficient to specify how this entity references need to be formatted in FrameMaker. For example, some users may want Greek letters to display in the symbol font, some users may use a Greek police where appear the Greek letters in the same position that the corresponding Roman letters in Roman letters fonts, and some users may want to use the numbers of characters in a Unicode font alphabetical.

  FrameMaker provides read/write rules that allow the user to associate a character entity. It also provides a rules file read/write for each public entity ISO 19 series. These default read/write rules of $STRUCTDIR\xml\isoents, and they can be included in the rules of reading/writing with the directives such as:

  #include "isolat1.rw".
  #include "isogrk1.rw".
  #include "isotech.rw".

  There is no need to specify the full of these read/write path rules because isoents is in the search path for default rules.

  The isoents file includes a file named isoall.rw that contains the guidelines include for each of the 19 character sets. All the default rules may therefore be included in your own rules with the single directive file:

  #include "isoall.rw".

  Users can of course use other than the default rules.

  For example, ISOgrk1 entity for a tiny alpha. agr default rule of FrameMaker for agr's:

  "agr" entity is fm char 0 x 61 in 'FmSymbol ';

  This rule corresponds to the entity for the hex 61 to the format character FmSymbol characters. For this rule to use:

  1. the entity must be declared in the DTD

  2 format FmSymbol must be set in the catalog of character using a non alphabetical font, set in maker.ini by a statement such as:

  NonTextFamilies = ZapfDingbats, symbol, WingDings, Monotype spells, MPV Euro, Euro without Serif Euro

  3 character format that fmsymbol must be applied on the alphas in the document

  Greetings,

  I'm not a user of InDesign.  Our Office Manager uses InDesign to publish technical reports from our office.  We create reports and go through a long process of changing in Word.  However, significant errors are introduced in the reports when converting from Word to InDesign.  We then carefully re - edit reports - and since we only licensed InDesign, we do this round of revisions of a pdf document.  It is terribly inefficient and I think that we should be using a Word-to-InDesign stale workflow.  I welcome your suggestions, and I thank you in advance.

  Edit the form fields so that they use Helvetica by 9 points. Do not set the Arial font. Acrobat/Reader will use a private version of Arial as a substitute for Helvetica. If you specify Arial, it will integrate the entire police (sometimes several times), makes that increase the file size unnecessarily.

  Note that the name of the folder and the name are case-sensitive. It must be userChrome.css and it must be placed in a folder named chrome.

  I'm new to Mozilla Firefox, which seems more to a wall climbing of a learning curve. But I like it much better than the Google home page.

  • I use a Toshiba laptop and a Windows 7 system.
  • Mozilla Firefox start page has a Google search box in the middle of the page. The police in and around the box looks like a 4. Whatever it is, I can't see the words easily.
  • Click on the drop-down tools, click Options, click the content changed police 12 and clicked on OK. The police has not changed on the start page.
  • I went to the option advanced and not clicked the box to allow Web sites to use their own fonts, but that did not help at all.
  • Then, looked everywhere in the Google support site, but I couldn't find a solution.

  Perhaps using the word "police" in my research is my problem! I looked for a solution for well over an hour.

  Help, please! If things continue to go, I'm going to need an anti-depressant.
