Acquisition of vibration with the NI USB-9234 using the NIDaqMxBase library

I have a NI USB-9162 linked to a NOR-9234 properly configured and installed under OpenSUSE 11.3. It's the output of ldaq:

I'm developing a simple application to acquire the values of vibration of a project connected with an accelerometer.
We start from the example of acquireNScans - AnlgStart.c of NIDaqMxBase 3.4.5 documentation.

Unfortunately, the program fails and generates the following error:

"DAQmxBase Error -200428: Value passed to the Task/Channels In control is invalid."

Then I realize that the NI9234 doesn't support analog and digital triggers so I have decided to try with the acquire1Scan.c (a scan without triggering):

Also this program fails and gives this error:

DAQmxBase Error -200077: Requested value is not a supported value for this property. (Timing Mode)

How can I get at least a single data value of the accelerometer of the device using the NIDaqMxBase API?

Hi giaulo,

The examples that you have tried to run are not compatible with your device.

The 9234 does not support analog triggering, so examples of "acquireNScans" - AnlgStart.c do not work.

He is also unable to make an acquisition of single point because is based on the architecture of delta-sigma ADC. Here is a knowledge base article explaining the limitation:

This is the reason why the "acquire1Scan.c" does not work.

You will need run one example making an acquisition in the buffer. "acquireNScans.c" would be a good to watch. Be aware of all these examples, the default is +/-10V input range. The 9234 can only input +/-5V, so it will take a few changes. Also as you try to read an accelerometer, IEPE excitement is probably necessary. I've attached an example which is based on the example of "contAcquireNChan.c" that defines the range and allows the excitement for the device correctly.

Syncronize to acquisition of data with the generation of signals

Hello everyone,

My request is generate pulses on the output of two different to drive two LEDs and acquire detected pulse signal amplified photodiode.

Actually pulses are generated by starting the writing on the analog output, and then start the acquisition (I need 200ms on average), stop the acquisition, turn off the driving LED and develop the acquisition and record the results.

All this in a cycle it takes about 1.5 seconds to run.

Next step would be to drive the outputs with a waveform (duty cycle of 50% of width of 250 ms) and acquire the signal of the photodiode in synchronization with the edge of the pulse.

I tried to use the trigger function, but the examples are not clear on how to do it.

I use NI 9205 or 9215 to acquire signals.

Is there a particular entry to be used as a trigger?

Confused about the disk space with the photo library

I understand that Photos uses hard links, and that therefore the photo library should not take much more space than the old Aperture library. But in a sense, I think that's not strictly true, and ' t actually takes this amount of space.

My current photo library is 174 GB. The old library of opening that I imported in April is 155 GBs I have a couple of other files in images, representing perhaps 10 MBs. Finder reports my folder of photos using 330 GBs.

Worse still, the disk hard integer (which is 500 GB) said I have only about 8 GB of free. When I look at the files that take the place, it seems that the GBs 330 is exact, so the vast majority of the use of the disk is duplicated libraries.

I kind of thought maybe I had actually an extra GBs 155 or something, because old files of opening were now linked to the photo library. But this doesn't seem to be the case.

Can someone explain this to me? I want to blow the Aperture library, because I have no intention to never use Aperture again, but I'm afraid that there are files in this library that have never in Photos, so duplication.

Storing hard linked files is reported incorrectly.

This is because the hard linked files are identical to the original files, and so the storage is counted twice by the Finder.

The library of Photos that is created from your Aperture library should have approximately the same size as the original opening library, but the image inside the library are stored on the same disk as the same pictures blocks in the original Aperture library.

But once you start working with the new photos of library, more links will break for the preview images. If you change a photo, a new preview will created, and who will no longer be linked to the preview in Aperture. It will be saved there less storage, so. Also, if you used a custom size for previews in Aperture, the new extracted in pictures will need extra storage.

Or, if you use iCloud library synchronization with iCloud may break references. Original on your Mac could be replaced by iCloud original during synchronization and verification duplicates.

If you no longer use the Aperture library, move it to an external drive to free storage on the internal drive. If you discover missing photos in the photo library, you can access the Aperture library on external drive as well.

Construction of error with the sqlite3 library

A project is built without any problem until I have add the sqlite3 library with which I get the following compilation error:

Windows Live Photo Gallery crashes with the error "library stopped working.

Hey everybody,

I use Windows 7 on a PC

Yesterday, the windows live photo gallery was working fine

No version update has been made, and today its no longer works.

The following message is displayed immediately after the opening of the miniature window with the button Edit is:

"Photo Gallery stopped working.

"A problem caused blocking the program works correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. »

I've done any writing in the community

a. Uninstall and reinstall Microsoft essentials

b. repair Microsoft essentials on the control panel

c. download fix - it and search for problems

d. research %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Photo Gallery - not found any file Pictures.pd4 or Pictures.pd5 here, but just in case where I deleted all original images

e. tried to look in the NVIDIA Control Panel but did not find anything which could be relevant here

Any ideas?

I have a file which causes an error when you use the library of Stellent. The file is a file XLSX and when we open and then save the file again, then does not cause the error. This leads me to believe that the file has been successfully created or something wrong with the library. More than likely it is the file. Is there any tool that I can use to test the file that will tell me what exactly is the problem? The file is automatically generated by a survey company. And so if we can show a problem with the file itself, then they will have to solve the problem in their autogenerator.

I tried to use the task of triggering NIDAQmx but it fails to give error-200077 code. and the description says im allowed to select only digital edge trigger.

in fact, the message you get is itself, as NI 6143 specifications indicates that this card supports just digital triggering. You will find the list of material of the series that supports analog triggering here: that S-Series (61xx) Support analog devices triggering?, or you can use an external circuit as comparison of analog signal.

Synchronize with the icon library

I'm trying to use this feature of LV9 icon editor; the download seems to work (progress bar lights), but then I get this error to decompress:

That's what I did to add an icon I created myself with Windows Paint:

go to Icon Editor in LabVIEW and click on tools--> list of glyphs and the models of the icon.

After clicking on this menu, a web page opens.

In this web page are listed all the icons present on your PC with their absolute path.

In my case (Windows XP), the icons are found in these paths:

C:\Documents and Settings\WINDOWS_USERNAME\My Documents\LabVIEW Data\Glyphs\...

C:\Documents and Settings\WINDOWS_USERNAME\My Documents\LabVIEW Data\Icon Templates\

where WINDOWS_USERNAME is my Windows account name.

I then copied the. PNG created with Windows Paint in one of this subfolder in the folder... \Glyphs\.

Loading the editor icons once again, I was able to find the icon created.

now, if you put the download of files on our website in that directory, you should be able to find them in the Icon Editor.

Method 1: Run the Troubleshooter:

Open the troubleshooter in the Windows Media Player library

Method 2: If the problem persists, then clear the database of Windows Media Player. To do this, follow these steps:

a. exit Windows Media Player.

b. for Windows 7: click Start, click run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.

c. Select all files in the folder and then click Deleyou in the file menu.

Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

d. restart Windows Media Player.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

Method 3: If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

a. exit Windows Media Player.

b. If you run Windows 7, click Start, click Run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoftand then click on OK.

You must allocate enough space for data1 and data2, and then pass a pointer to this space. An easy way to do this is the function to initialize table. Set the U8 type and size for the number of bytes required. Pass this array to the function as a pointer of table data.

After the function call returns, you need to extract the data in the table. You can do it manually, but a simple approach is to use the array of bytes to a string. Then, in a housing structure, use Unflatten chain to convert the string to the correct data type. This method also converts the "endianness" which will be probably necessary; Be sure to only set all entries for unflatten correctly.

If your photo library is migrated from iPHoto then you will need to remove them in iPhoto too - or if you are sure you are finished with the iPHoto library archive yoru iPHoto and delete and empty the trash
