Acrobat 7 stops working, asked to reinstall

I ran my own Mac, and later, Acrobat and Distiller (7) refused to load, saying I should reinstall from my original CD. Well, I didn't initially loads of CDs, but via a download. How can I reinstall without resorting to the CDs. (Yes, my previous backups missed in this instance, too.) And no, I want to buy Acrobat 9, just reinstall 7.) Clues as to how I might accomplish this? You need the Installer files. When you bought these via download, you should have them engraved on disk. If you do not have to do, there are no links on the Adobe website that you can use to download the software again. Unfortunately, the cost of the lesson can be the purchase price of an upgrade to version 9 or 10. Adobe used to offer a filter replacement for a small fee. They have stopped offering this service. Give their Service to the customers a phone call, maybe someone will give you a link.

    Adobe does most support the installation and use of Acrobat 6 because it is a very old version that is not compatible with Windows 7.

    I suggest you to please use the latest version of Acrobat 11.0.10 is perfectly compatible with your operating system with its functions and improved functions.

    We use the word 2013, 32-bit Windows 7 64-bit and Acrobat Pro 11.07. When you create a pdf file in the menu Word lance Acrobat "Acrobat has stopped working" error dialog when he returns to the prompt for the file name. I tried a complete reinstall and trust what I can in the center of Word. The PDF is successfully created even through the error is thrown. I have full administrator rights on the PC and the problem occurs under someone's profile. Has anyone else seen and solved this problem?

    Have you tried with 11.0.06? Maybe there is a bug added in 11.0.07. In this case, just go for the 06 version could be a solution. I've heard several people complain about problems with the 07 update (even if I don't remember the question, just complaints). Looks like you've done a lot, and you could try to reinstall and update at 06. Manual updates can be found at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows. It would be a useful exercise (especially if it works) to provide Adobe to update 07 saw the bug information and not 06. That's a guess.

    Providing you have Acrobat 9 installed in an operating system for which Acrobat 9 is compatible then you can use the feature.

    So, you need a scanner connected, turned on, and the software installed. Acrobat 9 "prefer" TWAIN drivers.

    Always visit the site of the provider of the Analyzer and download - install the latest version of the greatest software.

    n.b., The Acrobat 9.x product family moved in the middle of the "End of Support" year 2013.

    Thus, the family of products Acrobat 9.x is not compatible with contemporary operating systems.

    I checked your account and nothing seems to be broken with your Acrobat Pro subscription. You launch Acrobat on your desktop? If, for any reason, your subscription returned to the mode of trial, I expect that you would be presented with the dialog of the trial. In this dialog box, you should be able to click on the license for the software, then log in with your Adobe ID and password. If this isn't the case, please let us know.

    Thanks Pat. I was able to solve the problem.

    Operating system is Windows 7 Pro, Adobe Acrobat Pro 11.0.07.

    I went into the properties file where I've identified that users only have read & execute and read properties, I changed the properties for everyone to full control. Which corrects the problem.

    I don't know how the properties changed to just Read & Execute, but there was an automatic update the previous night.

    I have Acrobat X Pro, installed as part of the suite CS6. It has stopped working. If I click on a PDF file, nothing happens. If I select Acrobat Pro in the menu program, nothing happens.

    I tried to restart and just download the latest updates from Adobe.

    Still nothing. What could be wrong here?

    In fact I just fixed the problem with another post here. It turns out be a thing of licenses. I built a new PC and apparently not unlicence continued on my old. So I allowed it, then re registered and now it works. Weird, but true.

  • One by one my plugins After Effects stop working, even after reinstalling AE

    It is a strange.

    I got several plugins for After Effects crash and die in a row now. It started with one and it starts to look like a failure of plugins to work in the latest After Effects - even after their updating and reinstalling AE completely.

    What happens is the following; a plugin starts to give an error at startup (or same æ crashing completely). Can I remove the panels (or even from the folder scripts completely). The program works very well for another day or so with other plugins installed and anchored in the panels.

    The next day, another plugin no longer throw up another mistake of his own.

    No update or changes since, except using AE for hours.

    The cycle repeats; I remove this plugin, continue to use AE (feature slowly lose this way) and then the next day fails a few other plugins...

    There may be a third culprit somewhere, it might even be Java associate? Since there were a few updates in recent weeks?

    But this is the behavior I've seen so far. It's like a slow systemic breakdown and I don't know how to stop it. Purchased same plugins became useless for me.

    Anyone else knows a similar behavior? Or someone who has experience?

    The problem is the plugin related.

    It turns out that the fb-toolbar plugin had a bug which caused its preferences file massively inflate (600 MB +). Of course, it was not supposed to happen. I spoke with the developer of this plugin and everything's hunkydory now. Thank you!

    Solution Center says that my device does not complete the installation... This is a new issue. I have been using this printer since the installation of this new. I reinstalled it & no luck. I can print via wireless (test page) & wireless diagnosis says everything is fine. I also tried to use a patch 'add a device' downloaded from HP printer worked very well for 2 other computers on my home network. the test page shows my IP address correctly. I really don't want to go through the hassle of completely uninstall & reinstall. any advise?

    Thank you for the follow up to Advisor but the only thing that worked was to completely uninstall the printer software and do a fresh install.  Now my HP Solution Center opens, the printer prints very well. BTW, I tried to install the DOWNLOAD & that didn't work, either. I had a window of solution that made me walk through many steps & still not managed to exploit the property. anyone else having this problem, should just uninstall & reinstall, I guess.

    This seems to be allowed the problem to me.

    Please, try the following steps and let me know if this helped:

    Delete all the files in the following folders:

    C:\PrgroamData\Adobe\SLStore

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\SLCache

    And delete all the files in the folder following except cache.db

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\ Adobe PCD

    Then launch Acrobat, accept EULA and re-enter the serial number.
