DeskJet 3510: AirPrint works bad

I had this problem before when my last router died. It took 5 days and hours on the phone with a screen sharing my computer technician to fix because the patch had not yet been released for the Mavericks. I pray it is not always the case / case with Yosemite.

My roomba accidentally unplugged my router. When I connected again and he cycled through his startup, all my devices (Mac, iPhone, iPad, PS3 and AppleTV) reconnected to the network wireless without problem. The printer does not have. I uninstalled the wireless printer and reinstalled using the HP Setup Assistant. Now, I have been able to print a document and a test page for my Mac. However, it does not appear as an option on my devices (iPhone, iPad) wireless and the wireless AirPrint and ePrint lights on the display will Flash. The printer itself does not believe that it is connected to the wireless network.

I need this printer to work wirelessly for all my devices, plug in is not an option that the cable is not long enough. Help, please!

I have OSX 10.10.1 (Yosemite) - this was not an option in the menu drop down.

Thank you.

Hello csharp7,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I would like to offer some suggestions to help get the 3510 Deskjet connected to your network. Since wireless light flashing, it seems better to restore the default values of the network to the printer and start over. To do this, setting > wireless > default settings.

Once restored, the lights may turn off as default values are sometimes set off. Back to setting > turn on Wi - Fi and wireless and wireless live. On your Mac, go to the Wireless drop-down menu and join the network printer. Open a web browser and type 192.168.223.1 in the address bar and press ENTER.

Click network, click (left) wireless configuration wizard. Go through the steps and select your network, etc. Once connected, the printer WiFi light should be solid. Connect the Mac to your network and try to print.

If you are unable to print, open the system preferences > print and scan. Delete the printer, click on the + button and add the printer to the back. Try to print, if successful, try the iPad / iPhone.

* Power of the iDevice cycle may be necessary to re - sync with the printer via develop *.

I hope this helps, let me know!

My printer HP Deskjet 3510 cannot be detected after windows 8.1.  My computer is a HP Pavilion g6. Now, I would never, I clicked to install, I wish they would send me just windows 7. Laughing out loud

    @klb75,.

    Thanks for posting.

The cardinal rule of when something does not work after update to 8.1 is put it back in place. This applies to the printing software and all other software. Uninstall from the control panel configuration, programs and features. Then, restart the computer.

After that, download and install this software: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=al-108718-3&cc=ca&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4158&product=5157483&sw_lang=

    * Thus, before installing the software, disable all Firewall/antivirus software. This software can create conflicts with the printer software.

If reinstalling it does not help, run print and scan doctor. He could fix it... http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?CC=CA&LC=en&JumpID=ex_r4155/HHO/IPG/ccdoc/printer_diag/&softwareitem=MP-135113-1

  • DeskJet 3510 will not scan wireless on OS 10.9

I have a 3510 Deskjet which worked fine wirelessly on my old Mac with Snow Leopard. I recently bought a new IMac with OS Mavericks 10.9.5. The printer will print wireless but not scan wireless. It will scan only with the attached USB cable. I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of the HP software. When I disconnect the USB it is said that the wireless connection cannot be found. I have reset the wireless connection, and it's good. What I'm missing here?

    Hey @hellis,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I would like to help you today with the resolution of the scanning wireless problem you encounter on your Mac OS X 10.9.5 operating system with your HP Deskjet 3510 e-all-in-one printer. I understand that you have already uninstalled and reinstalled and tested via USB cable without success. Right now I'm going to guide you through some additional troubleshooting for this problem to scan wireless.

Step 1: Uninstall the drivers and software:

First of all, I will have you reset the printing system on your Mac computer. This will remove any printer of your printed folder and Scan, but does not uninstall printers. You must use other printers once the reset complete simply click on the (+) sign more to add than these other printers back into your Mac. Make sure they are connected via a connection by USB cable or network. Do not add your Deskjet still back in.

Please click here to know how to reset the printing system. Just follow the steps to "reset the printing in OS X Lion system"

Once the reset is complete, please select: uninstalling the printer software and race through the steps in Mac OS X v10.6, OS X v10.7, OS X v10.8 and OS X v10.9 for the method that you used to install your printer.

Once the printer is uninstalled, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:

    1. Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
    2. Go to the Utilities folder
    3. Open disk utility
    4. Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
    5. Select verify disk permissions
    6. Once this process is complete, select repair disk permissions

Step 3: Check the Apple updates:

    1. Go to the Apple
    2. Select System Preferences
    3. Select software update
    4. Click update now
    5. Install your available updates
    6. Computer restart

Step 4: Reinstall your software and drivers:

    1. Please click here to download the latest drivers for your printer.
    2. Click on the download button
    3. Follow the steps on the screen to reinstall your printer.

Once the reinstallation is completed, please make sure that your printer is added to your Mac with the appropriate driver. Avoid the Airprint driver because it allows that capacity print based and not scanning.

    1. click on the menu Apple and then click on System Preferences.

    2. click on Print & Scanand then check if the name of your printer appears in the list of Printers .

    3. If your printer is listed, remove and re-add the printer to check the communication with the Mac. Click on the name of your printer, click the sign minus (), then remove the printer. Once the printer is deleted, click the plus sign (), click Add a printer or a Scanner, click the name of your printer with Hello , like the kind.

    4. click on the area of use or with the help of Print and then select the name of your printer on the shortcut menu.

    5. click Add to add the printer to the list.

Source: Install your HP printer driver and software for Mac OS X

Once the printer is reinstalled successfully by using the correct driver, please test the printing and scanning functionality.

Please let me know if the steps I have provided resolve your scan wireless problems. Good luck!

  • DeskJet 3510 scan multiple pages to a file

I have a Deskjet 3510 all in one... I'm trying to scan several documents in a folder... When I scan a document and click on save, I name a file for the document to go... When I scan another document and click on save when I try to put it in the same folder I get a message saying that there is already a file with that name, do you want to replace. If I hit Yes, it get rid of my first scanned doc? When I look at what help it says don't save does not, but how to get around the above problem?

    Thank you

Well, if you use the HP utility scan it will work for you.

You're right, this is where you can be sure to determine whether you want to scan to a single file or multiple locations. However, when you are on the scanning window, there should be the main picture, then on the left there is a smaller thumbnail in a column. At the bottom of this column, there is a button with a piece of paper with a (+) mark. This will allow you to scan multiple pages in a frame.

Let me know if it works for you!

PS: Don't forget to save files in PDF format

  • HP LaserJet M252dw: Airprint works only not on HP LaserJet M252dw

We have a HP Color Laserjet M252DW in our business that we intend to use Airprint for printing from our Mac machines, but we cannot make it work.

We use a Cisco wireless with a 2500 WLC. We have configured mDNS and are able to see other printers, but not the M232DW.

What we have tried so far:

    > Search for the firmware updated (not available)

    > Reset the printer and reconfigure

    > Use the static and DHCP IP addresses

    > Restart the printer, WLC and Mac devices

The printer is connected to the same network wireless as users. As I said, Airprint works on other printers, it works just not on this one.

Any ideas of what I may be missing or what I can try?

    Hello

I got to work. But only after I reset the default printer and it reconfigured.

I needed to configure mDNS on Cisco WLC, then after I reset and reconfigure the printer, it took a little time to see the recording on the WLC and for Apple devices pick up (about 5-10 minutes).

It took that long only for this particular model because the other HP printers have been detected immediately, but those are wired, however.

To accomplish the same thing for devices Meraki see the following link.

    https://documentation.Meraki.com/Mr/Other_Topics/Configuring_Bonjour_Forwarding_for_the_MR_Access_Points

Let us know if that helps. Just know you may need to reset your default printer, reconfigure, then wait a while.

  • Recent update for my HP Deskjet 3510 Series does not install

The recent update for my HP Deskjet series 3510 printer will not install.  I tried the store several times and get the same error on the result: recent installation updates unsolved problems.

The update is called: Hewlett Packard Imaging Null Print HP Deskjet 3510 series.  The error code that comes up is: 80070490.

I am running Windows 8.1 and use HP Pavilion g7 - 64 bit laptop.

    Can someone help me?

    Hello Redjerseylinda.

I understand that this update of the printer is not installed. I will do my best to help you, and there are a few options to consider:

You can skip this update and all other HP updates. Updates are not essential in the slightest. If that's what you want to do, you can uninstall HP updates from Control Panel, and then restart the computer.

If you want the update has been installed, you must uninstall and reinstall the printer software. You may use the software update to install this update.

Please answer as soon as possible. I'm only here to help!

  • DeskJet 3510 all-in-one will not feed the paper correctly

  • HP Deskjet 3510 - update will not install

I posted a "Help" yesterday on the same topic, but am looks like, but no help.  Anyone know why I can't install a printer called Hewlett Packard Null Print to my HP Deskjet 3510 update?  I tried over and over and receive a code 80070490 or 80070002.  Simply, it will install not and rest on my list of important updates.

I have the HP Pavilion notebook PC g7 and'm running Windows 8.1.  I use Internet Explorer.

Obi Wan Kanobi... you're my only hope.

    Hi Redjerseylinda,

According to the website of Windows "If you receive the Windows Update 80070490 error means that a file (CBS Manifest) that need to install updates is corrupt."

Please take a look at what I found: Windows Update, error 80070490

It seems that the file appeared as corrupt, it's because it's whats is referred to as a "ghost" update Basically, an update 'ghost' is an update that was for the device, but unit has newer drivers which causes the update failing to keep.  The only thing you can do is to hide the update, or ignore it.  Windows will continue to try to push it, but your printer does not need it.  If she didn't need the update, it would install right.

I hope this puts your mind at ease. Happy new year.

  • HP Deskjet 3510: Software of digitization and Chromebook

Don't know how to install the scanner to the computer software.  I don't have any software and only is a zip drive.  I see the instructions for everything except the Chrome.  Please help me find the software.  Thanks in advance!

    Hello @bon920,

Welcome to the Forums of HP and thanks for posting!

I want to help you learn how to scan from your HP Deskjet 3510 to Chromebook all-in-one printer.

Because the Chromebook Chrome operating system is a mobile operating system, you can not install the normal software and drivers that you might on a Windows or Mac computer.

That being said, you can scan your Chromebook using Webscan located in the integrated Web (EWS) of your printer server. Note: The printer must be installed on your network to do this.

First, you will need the IP address of your printer. You can find this by printing a page of Network Configuration of your printer. Here are the steps.

    • On the printer control panel, press the wireless button (), then press the button () next to settings.
