  We use the Microsoft Live Meeting platform for about 2 years and wanted to upgrade to a HD platform... just heard talk of GTM HD on the TWIT MacBreak Weekly podcast and did not know if we go to Acrobat Connect Pro... is there a comparable option HD available or is it coming? Leo

  Hi Leo - also note, HDfaces is done only 640x480p resolution by webcam feed (and limited to 6 total webcams).  In addition, if you are looking for a training or large meeting/Webinar solution, HDFaces is available for GoToMeeting and GoToWebinar or GoToTraining.  Acrobat Connect Pro supports video 640x480p for online seminars, training and web meetings.  Today, Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro offers also several extensions to enable HD video in the meeting environment, such as the Podium HD pod (see Adobe Connect Extensions page here - http://www.adobe.com/products/adobeconnect/extend.html) and the integration of Vidyo.

  You're right that I missed the boat on the answer to that question... guess I read a little of what I thought that the question should be, not what it was. Thank you for calling my attention to this fact.

  Connect can be used as your LMS? Yes. There is the learning module that allows the provision of training on demand (concurrent learner license) and live and follow-up training (named Virtual Classroom Manager licenses). While the connection is more than a light weight, LMS, it pasbien needs more organizations for the provision of training user and follow-up.

  For the content of the application, there is no need to start the connection interface (meeting room, is what I assume you mean), training courses (single object) or Curriculum (collection of learning objects) will have a single URL for access. If you use a virtual class then courses on request can be initiated at the synchronous session and all the interactions between the participants will be followed.

  However, by using the default setting where the creative event address is normally used, as well as the implementation of a new alias with the necessary "To send the details and select this as the name" / email address that the email must come.   I have Acrobat Connect Pro not having again, I used the trial version. I would like to ask the following questions:

  1 - How VOIP of Adobe Connect compares to Skype?

  2. in a scenario of chat room (using Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro) I guess you should use Adobe Connect VOIP? What failover options you have? I mean you can listen to individual rooms or must you listen to all of the rooms at the same time? Can you only allow some rooms you (the host) hear speak (you can talk to a closed room) while you listen all rooms (say three rooms or more)?

  Okay, when you create a chat room we can assign students to a room or you get AC (Adobe Connect) to assign automatically learns. The classes are then displayed in a pod. A simple clicks on the name of the class that you want to enter, then you can interact with learners there. If you want to display another class, you just go to the classroom.

  One of the biggest piece that Adobe Connect provides is its virtual classroom feature. Further, first Captivate integration with Adobe Connect VC as you open VC session within first and follow the details of the user to the first. First gives you a medium during installation and much more.

  We already support the scenario of users who leave the system and new users, the Assembly system. Master permit is on per-seat basis. Once the learner leaves the system, its county seat is available again and you can register a new user for the same seat. So you can re - use your seats bought several times. (Note that a user once off bonus LMS may not return to the system. Restrict ourselves to avoid false practices)

• Snap-in Acrobat Connect Pro software component crashing with screen-share

  Hi all

  I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me with a problem I have with my Adobe Connect Add-In.

  I have a relatively old macbook with Mac OS x version installed 10.6.8, along with version 9 of Adobe Connect Add-in. It seemed to install correctly and meetings work very well. Everything goes well until I try to screen-sharing, time whereby it crashes regularly, giving me a box that tells me that the application has stop working. I even tried to uninstall and reinstall with the same result.
  Is it because I have an older OS? Has anyone else had this problem with only the screen sharing? Also, is there anywhere I can test my screen sharing capabilities except when I'm in a meeting, similar to how Skype has a contact, you can call to test your connection?

  If you could help point me in the right direction with this question, I would be very grateful. Please let me know if there is additional information, that I do not forget to share!

  Connect addin is not supported on MAC OS X 10.6.8

  Here is a link to the datasheet where you can see that you need to have MAC OS X 10.8 or above.

  And to your second query on another way to test your abilities to screen sharing, you have access to the meeting and then share your screen. You can share your screen, even if you are the only participant in the meeting with the host or the presenter level permissions and check the features with the function that allows to the Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro for screen sharing.

  So my fonts in my PowerPoint presentation are not preserved when I use Acrobat Connect Pro (as it is not one of the Adobe fonts). I saw that a member of staff said that thanks to Adobe Presenter it should solve this problem, so if I buy Adobe Presenter and use it on my presentation it will preserve my fonts and also my animations/transitions, etc?   It should be. The problem is that when you load a PPT (X) at Adobe Connect it converts to a Presenter presentation. However, it can use only the fonts on the server, which is the basic MS fonts. Publishing locally with the presenter should allow you to use the fonts you have on your computer, so this issue. Your animations and transitions must also be preserved, but you will have your animations sur-Cliquer for control when they are placed in Presenter.

• Acrobat Connect Pro does not. Get white screen of death.
