Acrobat Pro DC PDF portfolio Edit

Have upgraded to Pro DC of 10 X - a few new features and some remind me of type Windows 8 back functionality. Difficult to change the sequence of documents in a portfolio. Seems it is that a rather elaborate control systems were you select size, name, etc., and then you select the desired method. 10 x, you have to just click "Edit" and you could select and drag the files in the order you want. I can't find this in MS Pro - it seems to simply want to offer a system of predefined command that can't seem to take say 10 files and put them in a random order, you want. Someone knows how to handle this?

You can reorganize the portfolio in the order you want by following the below mentioned steps.

1. open the portfolio using Acrobat DC.

2. click on view-> portfolio--> details.

3. Add a custom field to say x using available on right click menu-> Add portfolio properties.

4. fill the value of 'x' for the files in the order in which you want the files to be classified. You can assign the value of this field by using the value of edition available in right click menu.

5. sort using field x.

  • Problems with opening files Acrobat Pro 9 PDF

Hello. We use Acrobat Pro version 9.0.0 to convert our files of Word of documentation produced in PDF format. In recent weeks, our clients report a problem more with the opening of these files. We usually deliver those on a DVD with Acrobat Reader 5 or an older version. (Please do not ask me why we are always on these older versions!) Anyone done the experience of similar problems with Acrobat Pro 9 PDF files and older versions of Acrobat Reader? Acrobat Pro version 9.0.0 works without problems with the most recent Acrobat Reader 9.1 download?

Please post your comments. Thx a lot - Kay

You must save them to be backward compatible. You can only set your printer Adobe PDF option. In Acrobat, you do not save, but use reduce the size of file or PDF Optimizer for backward compatibility. You might have added something that was specific AA9 that causes the problem. Depends on if you create forms or what. When you are dealing with a company, it's probably a good idea to keep backward compatibility at least version 6, but it looks like 5 for your case if you distribute Reader 5 on the CD. I maintain AA5 compatibility of files that I create.

  • Adobe Acrobat Standard - vs-Adobe Acrobat Pro (for PDF files)

I need to make a PDF from some 600 photos. Adobe Acrobat Standard application is competent to perform this task? Or is it better to buy Adobe Acrobat Pro and why?

Neither has relevant specific limits for this.

If you do for professional publication, Acrobat Pro contains print production tools.

However, be aware that YOU have NOT LAY OUT DOCUMENTS or MAKE of BOOKS in ACROBAT. Sorry to be emphatic, but some people have received the notice that it replaces Word, InDesign, Publisher, or other. This isn't.

  • CS4 Acrobat form submit: PDF still editable by the recipient?

    Hello

Thank you for reading. I'm new to Acrobat and just bought CS4. I created a form to send by e-mail. However, I noticed that the form is still editable when the recipient sees.

How can I flatten that the form send noneditable (flattened PDF)?

Thank you for taking the time to read this issue.

    Richard

Phillip: I covered the Security tab in my first post. And, if the mailto: sends the entire document, and then it should maintain the applied security (PDF file is secure based on the settings that you create and can only be changed if the password is entered). I'm not sure that anything is if all other options are selected in the action 'send form '.

I have a lot of experience with the application of security for PDF files, but my experience with the form submission is limited.

M! M! C: How do configure you the submit button? If possible, send the whole PDF should give you what you are looking for.

  • Version of Acrobat Pro serial number of DC will not start.

I compile and install images by computer for teachers and staff in a University.
Some of these users choose to buy Acrobat Pro DC in the edition number constantly to keep the software with the machine through personnel changes.

I install the software at the time of the generation and the software can't get out on the internet.

When the computer is in place and connected to the network, the user is prompted to enter their Adobe ID to register the product.

Entering successfully into their adobe ID, the product completes without error.  The product is not registered. Next launch, the process repeats.

    I have:

-run a repair on the installation.

    -uninstalled and reinstalled the product

-Launch the uninstallation and clean to remove utility the product and any other acrobat software and settings, then re-installed.

-Attempt connect using different user adobe accounts.

-Downloaded the latest installer of serial number of: download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, XI or X and installed with it.

    The problem persists.

According to: known issues | Adobe Acrobat DC, CD :

    " Known issues

    Activation

Problem: Acrobat DC do not launch if an uninstall in offline mode and reinstall is performed using the same serial number. [3943212]
Solution: put the machine online. On the login screen, choose connect now. Acrobat will launch successfully. »

The machine is online.  On the login screen, the user chooses to connect now.  Launch of Acrobat IS NOT successfully, but rather closes without error and without registration of the facility.

I think that this series of events is not technically a 'solution' as a workaround solution usually involves the product of work after work around the problem.

This issue is constantly itchy and will become problematic as the dozen multiple computers that are running a version of Acrobat Pro must be replaced and the new, non-functioning software installed.

A next resolution would be appreciated,

Okay, so I made a second attempt, this time:

1: uninstall all products (including non-pro versions) adobe acrobat, and then restart the computer.

2: go to C:\ProgramData\Adobe\, here you need to rename the folder named "SLStore" "SLStore_old" or you can use any name of your choice. (Please note: ProgramData is a hidden folder and you may not be able to see it.) Make sure that hidden files do not appear on your computer, you can follow this link to the same thing: Show hidden - files-Windows help)

3: go to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\SLCache. Delete all the files and folder in this folder. Make sure that you do not remove the SLCache itself.

    4: go to:-C:-users- \AppData \Local-Adobe-OOBE, delete this folder.  I also deleted the folder % userprofile%\AppData\Local, % userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow, %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming Acrobat

5: used CCleaner to clean the registry references

    6: reboot

7: install Acrobat DC when you're connected to the internet by using the last installation program downloaded, before the serial number when prompted.

8: restart the computer without launching Acrobat DC.

9: launch acrobat DC, connect you with the Adobe account, accept the license terms

10: (again) invited me for the serial number.  Serial number entered.

At this point, the program successfully launched.  Although I can't say for sure what's the difference between the first and second attempt.

I am wary uninstaller expatriates registry references which do not crushed on re - install?  Restarting Windows 98 - style persistent may also have changed things.

However, this kind of unpredictable behavior has been the standard for all of our DC Pro Acrobat installs.  Some work very well on the first try, others take 3 or more, some take the above list to play with hidden files and registry entries to work.

Thank you for your help, however, I hope the installation for versions of serial number becomes more standardized and less unpredictable with future updates, it takes a lot of time for those of us with a selective use Adobe programs in an enterprise environment.

  • Make the PDF portfolio compatible for editing with earlier versions of Acrobat

I built a PDF portfolio in Acrobat X Pro, and then sent to a person running Reader v9 and they can't change it (and must). Is there a way to save the PDF portfolio down so that they can edit it?

Why is Adobe making this so difficult?

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro DC edit a PDF file

I have an active subscription to Adobe Acrobat Pro CD but when I try to edit a PDF file I get the box «Read more» It takes me to a link to register DC Pro, and when I connect it says I have DC, and I have yet to edit a PDF file...

You're still using Adobe Reader instead of Acrobat. Make sure that you have Acrobat is installed and that you actually use to open your PDF files.

I have Acrobat Pro DC subscription but is not letting me edit a pdf file?

    Hi toddb52522515,

I assume you are using Acrobat Reader for iOS/Android/Windows Phone, because you posted your question on Acrobat Reader mobile forum.  If this isn't the case, please let us know.

With the Acrobat Pro DC subscription, you pouvez use the 'Edit PDF' function to change the text in a PDF document on a mobile device, if the following conditions are met.

    • Your PDF document to edit.  (Some PDF documents may not allow editing due to permissions and document encryption.)
    • You are registered under the Adobe ID with which you used to purchase the subscription Acrobat Pro DC.
    • You are using Acrobat Reader for iOS on iPad.  (The 'Edit PDF' function is not taken in charge on an iPhone.  In addition, please note that Acrobat Reader for Android version 15.3.1 or older did not support the 'Edit PDF' function again.)

The information above explains why you can't edit a PDF document?

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you!
