  Not the answer you want, but you could set up your quick customer with an ftp upload which would replace the existing pdf. I use Transmit and it would allow your customer to simply drag and drop on a folder.

  I produced my first Acrobat form and am setting the validation rules on certain fields.  I want to ensure all names and addresses are saved with the first letter of each word being a capital as well as the letters are lower case.   While I found and read a few reviews, I have no script experience and positions assume a reasonable understanding of scripting, debugging, etc.

  You must understand how the data will be entered and what you want to accomplish. If you want to have a function as title case, then you will need to adjust objects or other words that would not be capitalized. Users will use another character other than a space to separate words?

  Since it is an action of formatting, I would put the script as the custom format or a validation script, so that this code is not rerun each time a field used in a calculation is updated.

  Assuming that only a space character will separate the words, you can use the method '. split() ' to an array of words in the text entered in a field. You can then browse the array of words and affecting the first uppercase character and the rest of the word in lowercase, using the 'substr()' method or other methods of the property of type string.

  The simplest version of this could be:

  for each element of the word table, uppercase the first letter

  You can then use the following code in each domain where you want to force the first character uppercase:

  Event.Value = FirstUpperCaseinputinputletter for (event.value);

  Another solution would be to use the following code in the format or validate the script:

  Event.Value = event.value.toLowerCase () replace (/ \b\w/g, function (match) {return match.toUpperCase () ;});})

  This script uses the RegEx object and its method of ". replace() ' using a self funciton set with the corresponding string.

  You can expect problems from not being able to install to the loss of some functionality.  the best you can do is to install using the mode of compatibility or upgrade to cs6.

  Have upgraded to Pro DC of 10 X - a few new features and some remind me of type Windows 8 back functionality. Difficult to change the sequence of documents in a portfolio. Seems it is that a rather elaborate control systems were you select size, name, etc., and then you select the desired method. 10 x, you have to just click "Edit" and you could select and drag the files in the order you want. I can't find this in MS Pro - it seems to simply want to offer a system of predefined command that can't seem to take say 10 files and put them in a random order, you want. Someone knows how to handle this?

  You can reorganize the portfolio in the order you want by following the below mentioned steps.

  1. open the portfolio using Acrobat DC.

  2. click on view-> portfolio--> details.

  3. Add a custom field to say x using available on right click menu-> Add portfolio properties.

  4. fill the value of 'x' for the files in the order in which you want the files to be classified. You can assign the value of this field by using the value of edition available in right click menu.

  5. sort using field x.

  1) what are the differences of the SDK Acrobat and PDF Library SDK kit? (see the Documentation of the SDK Acrobat DC)

  Among others: kit SDK Acrobat and PDF Library SDK use the same PDF Library API? Just a different subset of it? What licensing and the pricing? Is my application above suggested a Library Application called "PDF"? What Acrobat Forms API - it is part of the extended for plug-in API but is not part of the PDF Library API?

  (2) what steps can I for the formatting and setting/read the value of an AcroForm?

  The PDFLibrary SDK is a subset of the Acrobat SDK kit that can be used without the need for Acrobat.  One of the things that is not present in the SDK of PDFLibrary is the API of Acrobat forms you mention.

  Hi inesgui,

  You can create a form from scratch on Acrobat Pro DC or can download the PDF file and then use 'Prepare the form' to create fields to fill out.

  You can also add text when the form is created using Edit PDF under the tool menu.

• Online PDF form will not save edited info

  I created a number of pdf forms active, editable in Adobe Acrobat, DC format for readers to edit users. Then, I loaded the on my Wordpress site for visitors to use. Visitors can change the form and print it out and then right to the browser. However they cannot save the form that they have edited (it will don't save a blank form). They are able to download the blank form, and then edit and save. However, I can't seem to make it work save the form that they have edited while it is in the browser. Help would be much appreciated!

  Thank you!  I thought about it.  It is possible.  It's a document that I bought at TeachersPayTeachers.  The creator allowed to edit, but I don't have the original document to change, just the PDF file.  For reference, I clicked on DISPLAY in the main menu.

  Then I clicked on SHOW/HIDE.  Then COMPONENTS toolbar.  Last, I clicked on VIEW the PROPERTIES BAR.  Thank you very much for the help.  I hope this helps others.

  So I was sent a form that I had previously made editable has been changed and I had to add checkboxes and text boxes. After registration and in the browser window, new fields, I added are not allowing me to enter or check them in the browser, but when I open the PDF in Acrobat Pro, all fields are appearing. Is there a special way to save the pdf file to make editable in the browser? I did it once before, and it worked fine so it's a mystery to me at the moment. Any help is greatly appreciated!

  I agree with TSN thought that it's a browser problem, such as the MAC preview. I opened your link in my browser and it worked fine.

• Form Acrobat automatically submit without using Outlook?

  We are using Acrobat 9 Professional, Office Standard 2007, Windows XP, and some PC have Windows 7

  We created an Acrobat form with a submit button. Everything works as expected - thank God. We are able to fill out the form, the submit button then runs a java script that creates an Outlook email, fills the header of e-mail in the subject field, text in the body of the message and adds the filled PDF as an attachment.

  Now, we are interested in the elimination of the last step: send e-mail to prospects. Anyway to get Outlook to automatically send the email without end-user intervention?

  I created a pdf workbook that includes 5 pages and a form created in Acrobat (not Livecycle).  I've created a submit button that sends the completed form (page 5) in pdf format to me. The problem which I am facing is that the entire PDF document is sent back. How can I isolate the form on the previous pages in pdf. I use Acrobat Pro vrs 9 on a windows XP computer.  Or I go about it wrong from the start.

  Change the presentation to be only the data and not the form. Select the FDF, XFDF or XML. For your request, I'd use FDF. If this form is for others to e-mail to you, then know that the argument of the mail is subject to problems that you can't prevent (all associated with the configuration of the client computer). Submission to a web script is ALWAYS preferable. In addition, you can save the also backward compatible to be sure people with earlier versions of Acrobat or Reader have no problems with it. Backward compatibility can be obtained with the Document > reduce the size of the file or with the PDF Optimization. If you used a few new features, they will be lost (but of course, those are the features that would have caused any problems).

  Once you have the FDF file, you can simply import it into the form (in some cases, just by clicking on the FDF will open in the form if you don't move the shape on your system.) You can then export the data to other formats (see the manual for more information, or just play with it).

  Hi Stephen39,

  Do you have any 3rd party plugin installed for Adobe Reader? If not, close all instances of Adobe Reader running and delete the entire folder to: C:\program Adobe [version] \Reader\plug_ins.

  Now go to control panel > programs and features. Locate the entry for Adobe Reader X and choose to repair the installation.

  If you do not have a 3rd party plugin installed, try to uninstall them and see if the problem is related to the same. If it works, let me know what plugins have been the origin of the problem so that I can have a look.

  If all goes well, this should fix things.
