  Once you have downloaded Acrobat Pro DC, begin the 'demo' and provide the Adobe ID (if it is a subscription) or the (if allowed) serial key to activate the software through the Activation dialog box that appears.

  You get the error message? If Yes, then please let me know by sharing the screenshot of the same so that I can analyze the problem.

  You can try to uninstall and then reinstall Acrobat XI from the below mentioned link:

  In the activation window that appears, use your serial number to activate the software.

  Then, try to start again and check.

  I do not know what A / Web is. But if you save as PDF/A-1a or PDF/A-1b, and that transparency, it must be flattened. Flattening often lose the text completely, for example, if the text superimpose a transparent image.  Your watermark is probably using transparency. Not a glitch or bug.

  Thank you, Zildjian, and isakten. You me headed in the right direction. What I ended up doing was just a form text (for entry into force) field, then the required signature fields. After everyone has signed, I can the Effective Date of entry, then save the document and I don't have to sign myself or apply any type of certification. I just have to remember to put the text before form field I have forward the documents. It's the right answer, at least for my situation.

  It is quite possible to download Acrobat DC on a new machine.

  A license entitles you to two computers different installation.on, be it laptop or desktop and on the same OS.

  Could you explain exactly what happened when you tried to download on the new machine?

  I would also recommend to download the cleanup tool to uninstall Acrobat and then try to reinstall.
