• When I updated my Adobe Acrobat plug-ins it uninstalled Adobe Reader and installed Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Can I use Adobe Reader instead?

  I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Firefox said that my plugin Adobe Acrobat was outdated, so I've updated. It uninstalled my Adobe Reader Version 11.0.12.18 and replaced it with Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 2015.008.20082 DC. I did not like this program, and more I read there are still bugs in there. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled Adobe Reader Version 11.0.12.18. I went into the menu of options of Firefox under applications and changed the options Adobe to use Adobe Reader as the default application for PDF files. It is a safe choice, or should I leave Firefox dictate what PDF program I use? I am concerned about safety issues. Any opinions?

  In my opinion, you can trust Adobe to keep the series XI Reader updated for awhile. It is completely safe is impossible to know, given that vulnerabilities are often discovered and kept secret.

  I use Acrobat reader version 15.2.0 build 120566 on 4.4.4 Android on Galaxy tab. I have a pdf file where users enter data. It crashes at some point and users lose entered data. While the accident is being investigated by others, I'm trying to find a way to force a manual save, which proves to be difficult for these reasons-
  -I don't know if we let the app with the back button, it automatically saves the data entered.  This is not an option.

  -This is sensitive data, so I must avoid any solution of cloud completely.

  -I don't know if I select the Freehand drawing tool, I get a save option. But, with this new update, I have to draw anything (like a Dot) before the backup, the button is enabled. It is has been my only feasible option so far.

  -There is a configuration of cache for the acrobat reader software. Our users do not have SD cards. Is there anyway we could get the pdf file after the crushing of internal storage secure?

  At Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 and used Internet Explorer 10 Version 10.0.9200.17414. In the upper RIGHT of IE, I had Adobe (plug-ins?) option to:

  Print the Web Page...

  etc.

  I used the Web Page Add to... the daily option. I then installed, to fix a different problem, Adobe Acrobat Reader Version DC 2015.008.20082 (later from this post). Now, when I choose to add a Web Page in existing PDF... option, I get the error popup:

  Unable to access the installation of Acrobat Capture Web. Acrobat may be busy or waiting for input.

  I have searched the WWW of solutions but can't find one. Anyone has any potential ideas?

  The free software Adobe Reader doesn't have these features. They are part of Acrobat (not free) - as far as I know; only with the Pro version.

  There may be a PDF 'create' a web page associated with an Adobe online subscription services (perhaps PDF Pack).

I am constantly hitting the head of the arrow on the side of the screen that keeps opening the sidebar, which must then be closed when you try to use the scroll bar. I would like to return to an earlier version of acrobat reader that does not have this feature.   I have a piece of JavaScript code in a PDF file that loads data from a web service (I also wrote that the web service). The code worked fine for several years now on Acrobat Reader versions 7.0 to 10. Acrobat reader 11 it has suddenly stopped working. I hope someone can find out why and how to fix. He uses a call from submitForm to invoke the web service that returns data in FDF format.

  Here is the JavaScript code that initiates the call:

  Once the service has processed the data he returned to the format of the FDF (see below). You will see that there is a field (morningstar_data_loaded), which gets the value in the TOT. It has a validation function which then updates the form once the data is loaded.

  I checked that the data be displayed form (the STATION is connected as entering in the web service). I checked the web service sends the response below). I also verified that the validation for morningstar_data_loaded routine is not called. If the request is out, the answer is back, but the validation routine is never called. As I said, the same code works in Acrobat 7-10. So I think that a change has occurred under XI (11) I know (and maybe a few security feature?).

  I wonder if it is having a problem because I'm including JavaScript in the FDF (again security issues)? If so I don't think that I need.

  Someone has an idea what could be the problem and how I can fix this problem under Acrobat XI?

  I discovered that it was.

  The question was on the side server. In response, it was not including the Content-Length: header. Older versions of Acrobat were apparently forgive not having the Content-Length: header but Acrobat 11 they are needing.
