AcroRd32.exe browser slowdown?

I was working with a downloaded PDF doc this afternoon... Browser IE-11 has become very slow to open... on the order of a few minutes.

Led four separate controls for virus and malware.

Is it a Windows tool to solve this problem, or is it my problem?

I noticed a message system that "AcroRd32.exe" slowing down things...

What programs did you use to run virus checks and malware?

You have restarted the computer since you noticed the problem?

Although I believe that Adobe Reader can slow things down, I've never seen a message that "AcroRd32.exe slows down things."  What was the exact text of the message, without paraphrasing?

Start the Task Manager (right click on the taskbar and select Task Manager).  How many instances of AcroRd32.exe is displayed in the list of processes?

Assuming that the restart is not fix things and that you only have a single instance of AcroRd32.exe running, I suspect that you have successfully installed some add-on or tool bar that affect IE performance (even if a program good antimalware should have detected and removed these).  IE to start in SafeMode as follows:

  1. Click the Start button.
  2. In the search box, type "IE".
  3. Choose Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) in the list programs.

If it's IE open more quickly, so you need to look at IE and determine what toolbars and modules you have installed and start to remove them.  See, for example:

  • Analysis in the Explorer in the background AcroRd32.exe

TL; DR: AcroRd32.exe possibly scans files in the background, I don't know why.

Hello. I can't find this answer anywhere and the thought that I post here.

    I installed Adobe Reader X (10.0.0.396) and am running Win7 32 bit.

What I have observed, is that when I'm in the Explorer by browsing my files every now and then I notice in my few AcroRd32.exe running task manager. It happens every time I open a folder containing .pdf files. There will be about 2 instances of AcroRd32.exe running briefly (~ 2 seconds), then they will withdraw from autonomous.

Anyone know what is happening here? It seems to happen only the first time I open a folder. I even reboot my system, open this file once again and found no AcroRd32.exe running, so I can say with confidence that it happens only the first time I open a folder.

It seems to me AcroRd32 analyzes the actual file fast for something, possibly build a cache database, or something. I don't really know what is happening, but I'm just curious to know what is happening.

If you haven't done this experience yet, I suggest to keep the Task Manager open while browsing through the folders that contain .pdf files. Still, it seems only occur the first time you navigate through.

    Thank you in advance.

This is expected behavior, acrord32.exe process are displayed because of shell extensions. • Acrord32.exe (Windows 7 and Acrobat cc) breaking, can not save the changes, Windows Explorer crash earlier

Recently decided to upgrade to Acrobat DC after discovering that she will allow me to OCR files that previously forced me to spend of TIFF, and then back.

I downloaded the program and installed today.  I was the conversion of Acrobat 9.  After that I started uninstalling Acrobat 9 Pro, Windows Explorer has started crashing.  I finally restored the computer

I checked the Microsoft forums to see what could have gone wrong, and they seem to indicate that I should run sfc in the prompt, then see if there are problems in the registry. Here, of course, began with today or yesterday (which doesn't make sense - not sure that the report gave me irreparable files, or both fixed and fixed, or what). Other research suggests that I do a disk cleanup, and since then I had the problem of Windows Explorer.

I tried then just install Acrobat DC on Acrobat 9.  This seemed to work properly.  However, now I have problems with Acrobat to crash (although the window remains open?). The message says that acrord32.exe is the culprit.  In addition, a number of my PDF files cannot be replaced - if I want to save my changes, I have to save to a different folder, delete the old file and move the other in its place.

It's basically a nightmare, and I lost a ton of productivity today putting out fires.  Do not have these problems until I started playing with Acrobat.

    Please give me some suggestions.

    Thank you

In fact, I could hope to find the solution on this thread:

Adobe Reader DC contains errors and crashes with Windows Server R2 2012

Going to see how it goes with the preview pane disabled (although she will suck if I can't use TI - hope you guys who patch).

Also, add a folder by the instructions under C:/User / [USER] / AppData.

In the hope that this problem will be solved in between.

EDIT: It looks like it fix the problem.  Acrobat Pro DC now works without any problem.

  • AcroRd32.exe intermittent fault

    Hi all

I am running Win 7 64 bit on my pc works with all service packs and updates installed courses.

I have a problem with Acrobat Reader, that it does not always open the. PDF file, but leaves the AcroRd32.EXE running as a process visible in task Win Manager. These 'orphan' processes accumulate, and I have to 'kill' everything manually.

Sometimes the. PDF will open the first time, and sometimes it takes several clicks of the mouse (which causes the remaining process).

In this case, if I try to open or view the. PDF in Windows Explorer, Firefox, IE11 or MS Outlook.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall and the error still persists, it was also present in previous versions of the player.

It is now become irritating, that I suppose it's a thing to register, but everyone comes through this and is there a solution?

Whenever I load a pdf file in ADobe reader, the file AcroRd32.exe starts and will not end as long as I end manually in Manager tasks. I think that the Acrobat reader software is V 10.0. How can I stop this problem?

    Hello

I don't think AcroRd32.exe has been updated for Adobe Reader 9.3.4, therefore, the same version is the same as for the v9.3.3. If Abu Adobe Reader 9 splash screen is to display the version as 9.3.4, so I guess all is well on your side.

I opened a book that had about 300 pages with Acrobat Reader, and I noticed my PC becomes slow, I check the process manager and this is how it looked

    Untitled.png

The .pdf itself is about 7 MB, so why adobe reader using the 3.8 GB of memory for?

No, does not help! However, I noticed that this happens with only a particular pdf file that shows an error during the scrolling of pages, I tried other PDF files and they open very well, except for this one... So I'll try again to convert docx and back to pdf and see if that solved the problem...

UPDATE: well Yes, that solved the problem, although the police was messed up etc... Anyway, what is important to know, is that the problem was because of the file itself! change, transform, re - download, or other...
