ACS 5.x: you can go to the software download page and then get an evaluation by https://tools.cisco.com/SWIFT/Licensing/PrivateRegistrationServlet?FormId=310license.

Cisco limited offer of trial copies of some of its products. Those that are linked from here:

    http://www.Cisco.com/go/nmsevals

In General, if it is not there, it is not available as a trial version. It is usually not Cisco policy to provide all the software trial for teaching and laboratory use.

If you are working with a Cisco or a partner account manager, you will get an exception on a case-by-case basis.

  • 90 day trial of ACS

    Hello

I think about downloading the 90 day trial of ACS.

Until I do so, however, I have some questions that I have not found the answer.

    (a) after the expiry of the trial period, and I decide to buy ACS, how can we get the final permit and I have to reinstall averything on the ACS server yet?

    (b) if I download the full version of the ACS on Cisco's Web site, how can I pay for the license?

    Thanks for your help!

    OK, in order:

    (a) ACS for Windows does not have a license. If you decide to buy the ACS, you will receive a package with a CD. It comes to the full production version. All you have to do is to install the new version on the 90-day eval version and you will keep your existing configuration.

    (b) because there is no license, you can not download the production version of Cisco. You either order it online at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/ordering/or13/or8/order_customer_help_how_to_order_listing.html

or contact a representative or a Cisco partner.

  • How can I use Cisco ACS to save Shell commands

Hi guys, pleeeease how can I configure Cisco ACS to do command authorization on my Cisco 3660 router. I get the accounting logs and authentication but no newspaper that show orders issued by users - shell and it's the most important paper that I need. I read materails and download articles on the site of Cisco... but the thing is still does not give me the papers.

I have these lines on my router:

    ...

    AAA authorization config-commands

AAA authorization exec default group Ganymede +.

AAA authorization commands 15 default authenticated if

AAA authorization network default group Ganymede +.

    ...

It's funny, when I turn on debugging of the authorization of the AAA on the router, it shows me every command being sent by the user on the debug log. But nothing shows under Administration TACAC + on the Cisco Secure ACS. What is responsible for this?

    *****************************************************

I installed the trial version of the Cisco ACS 90 days and made all necessary settings and I have to say I like what I see already. I'm opening moves to recommend the product to purchase. Thank you guys, I got about the features of this ACS software through this forum, keep up the good work. I recommend the software for those who need to have adapted to the management reports Security Audit logs.

If I understand what you're asking correctly, the answer is not in the authorization, that it is in accounting. I set up on my routers and send to ACS orders that level 15 privilege users enter on the router.

orders accounting AAA 15 by default start-stop Ganymede group.

  • Download the ACS software... ?

I don't know about the 90-day trial; However, is there a way to download a full version for windows to the Cisco site. I am able to download the software so the isn't a problem. I don't see anywhere to download a full version and not only test 90 days?

    TKS-

You must purchase the software to full version. It is only available on CD. When you buy the ACS software, it comes with a device (ACS1111). I do not see the neccessity or the advantage of Cisco made available for download on their website the version full of GBA.

  • NAC ACS SSO

    Hi all

I know that there is AD SSO in the NAC. I would like to have SSO with ACS that is integrated with AD. is there any document to show how to configure SSO with ACS Express or ACS?

    Thank you

    Alex

    Alex,

In the short number - or at least, I have to say that I don't know of any way to do. To make the SSO with GBA, looking to connect to Windows with Radius or GANYMEDE +. This means that Windows GINA (Ctrl-Alt-Delete the piece of code) should be able to talk Radius or GANYMEDE + with the ACS server.

Only standards bodies supported on GRP are AD SSO (where connect you to your Windows machine and SSO happens) or RADIUS SSO (kind VPN wireless / installation). The second type is where you can make the accounting on ACS. With AD authentication, I don't know any way so he could be taken into account in the ACS.

One thing you could do theoretical is to send an accounting package to your express ACS of the CPC or the machine itself, but these are wacky solutions and require a lot of work/trials etc.

    So in short, not :-)

[EDIT] An option that I have completely forgotten and could work for your customer is to configure the accounting server to the CCA. In this way, you can connect to AD and always send accounting packets to an accounting server. More information here:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/partner/docs/security/NAC/appliance/configuration_guide/45/cam/m_auth.html#wp1159082

  • ACS 4.2 Remote agent compatibility issues.

I did a little reading on the compatibility of remote ACS 4.2 with Windows 2008 R2 agent, and it seems that the only way out is to upgrade the ACS to 5.2. We have Cisco ACS 4.2 SE and I would like someone to confirm that I have installed what happens if the remote agent on a Windows 2003 server of Member rather than the 2008 R2 domain controller. Such a scenario will work?

    Comments are appreciated.

    Concerning

Yes, here's what a bug documented with this CSCtg37183 information:

    http://Tools.Cisco.com/support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCtg37183

    Excerpt from the previous link:

ACS 4.x does not support the Server 2008 R2 to AD.

    Symptom:

ACS 4.x does not support authentication to a back-end Server 2008 R2 Active Directory.

    Conditions:

    ACS 4.x
Windows Server 2008 R2 installed on the domain controller
ACS or remote agent installed on a member server in the environment (even if the Server 2003/2008)

    Workaround solution:

Install the ACS or the Remote Agent on a domain controller 2003/2008

Cisco does not support this scenario because sometimes work well other doesn't work at all, so nobody wants an unstable network right, unfortunately workaround doesn't help much. Although there is an ACS 5.2 trial version that you can test, let me know if I can get you the links.

  • ACS 4.2 eval:-download license required?

I just downloaded the eval of ACS 4.2 version

5.1, you must obtain a licese trial.

Is this true for 4.2 as well?

I could install it and see to me :-), but I don't currently have the necessary Win Server

so while I wait for this, I thought I would ask as well...

    Thank you.

No, this is not true in the case of ACS version 4.2.0.124, it requires no series/license key. You just need to install it.

  • Level of privilege of the ACS and sets of commands

    Hi all

I was in charge of the implementation of 5.6 ACS in order to allow members of the groups of domain security MS Access of specific order to our equipment. I the area association and groups added, I have an access policy with a rule that works so my field trial account can connect to the switch and perform only the commands in my command set.

The problem is that when I assign a Shell profile with privilege level 7 min/max to the rule and the user logs on with this level, they are unable to see the commands that I welcomed in the Set command. Is it possible to have the ACS to say IOS to automatically change the visible commands to a specific privilege level when the user connects, even if they are not at this level of privilege?

    Any help greatly appreciated,

    Chris Menuey

Because you're using command authorization and restrict the user to some orders, why do we use privilege 7 and not 15?
