• Some features of Windows are not available.

  I have an IdeaPad p580 and I noticed that a few basic functionality of windows are not available. I use Windows 7 Home premium SP1 and everything else is usually straight out of the box. I guess these are the basic features of windows because I learn about them in an intro to the class of Windows operating system.

  When I try to use secpol.msc in the start menu, windows cannot find it, and also when I try to encrypt a file or a file this option is grayed out. I think Veriface is the encrypt function creep, or another software that is preinstalled is to play with things.

  No idea as to what could be the cause? Is my book misleading me, I may get to such a different way?

  When I go to this URL - click on the one that I want - no download works.  I tried a couple of computers different and various internet connections.  Doesn't seem to be a firewall / the problem linked to the internet.

  It seems that files no longer just on Microsoft servers.

  Any other place I can get these from?

• Windows Update not available on my xp home edition. Also no pgedit and bits do not work.

  "windows update is not available" for my xp Home Edition.  I followed the instructions to fix and found that I had no gpedit.  Also said something about BITS works do not.  I don't have my recovery disks.  I care not one of my files.  I want just a fresh install of xp.  I tried microsoft fix it but no good.  I tried to change the recommended registry but nothing.  I need to have regular updates for my xp system.

  You can easily buy an upgrade to Windows 8. For example, the command
  Amazon.com.

  However, note the following:

  1. Although you can use the upgrade version, it is not really a
  upgrade; He's going to do a clean install, which means that you will
  reinstall all your programs.

  2. you can use Windows 8 drivers for some of the materials in
  your computer and it is likely that its manufacturer is not
