  Recently, there have been a rash of product keys for Windows 7 purchased from auction sites appear here as not authentic.  They appear to be related to this HROnline HrOnline code: 0xC004C4A2. If you have purchased a key of a web site selling auctions (like eBay), please understand that the seller would have sold this product to several people key, causing the key more on the blacklist. These keys were never intended for resale; they were intended for the software development or assessment depending on the program that they were obtained through. If you have purchased one of these keys and it became not genuine with the above code, you must purchase a new license for windows 7.   Added note. You have only a limited amount of time (45 days I think) filing a claim with the auction sites.   I recently started a computer fixing for someone, they got three Dell Optiplex 755 desktop computers, and I got a few pieces of each of them (hard drive, processor, ram cards). I got the computer to boot, but since it's so old and I don't know what is the file system and it is a bit slow, I tried to reinstall Windows. I have the disc to install Windows 7 Professional x 64 and went to control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Recovery\Advanced recovery methods then clicked Reinstall windows. It restarts with the disc and went to the screen configuration, but then stopped and said that you can not install Windows because it has an invalid product key. Don't know why it does, but when I got to do start back when I also got to put in it, it says that Windows needs to be reactivated because of hardware changes, so in PowerShell, I typed in [slmgr-ato]. It worked, and after a reboot the lower right corner of the Office had more "Is not a genuine copy of Windows" on this subject, so I guess it worked. Can someone help me?

  I bought Halo 2 for Vista last week. I installed, updated with the latest patch and connected with my Live account. When the program tries to download my Live profile it gave me the error "invalid product key". I contacted the seller on Amazon and told him my problem. He contacted Microsoft and verify that the product key was valid and he told me to reinstall and make sure that all software is up-to-date. I grabbed a spare hard drive and install a new copy of Vista and done all updates to Windows. Then I installed the latest drivers for video card, I installed Halo 2. I downloaded and installed the latest patch for Halo 2 and the last program of Windows Live. After all this (about 3 hours), I still get the same message. Anyone at Microsoft have a solution to this? I get the message after logging in to my live account inside Halo 2. I googled the question and it seems to be quite common, however, I have yet to see a fix. Help, please.

Inside the box of however, there was only a single activation code, saying clearly "FSX Deluxe.  FSX Deluxe activated perfectly, but I'm not able to activate FSX acceleration due to the absence of key I guess. I tried to use the same key as Deluxe, but it says it is invalid.

  I tried following the instructions of technical support, but they ask the number PI, that I wouldn't find anywhere in FSX Deluxe (which is already activated and good work) or FSX Acceleration (works only in mode activate later ).

  We could solve this here or should I go back to the retailer?
