Activation of Bluetooth

I inadvertently turned off Bluetooth on the Imac!  What is the shortcut on an apple keyboard to turn it back on?

The 1953 Florida Hi

Turn on or off by using the Bluetooth status menu

Click Bluetooth status icon in the menu bar and select turn on Bluetooth on or turn off Bluetooth.

If the Bluetooth status menu is not visible, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Bluetooth, and then select "See the Bluetooth in the menu bar."

If you have a keyboard and bluetooth mouse and can not navigate:

Start the iMac with nothing plugged in, it should go in a Setup Wizard.

  • stop looking for other bluetooth devices

I'm having a lot of problems with my Oticon Bluetooth Streamer and iOS 9.3 x

The BT connection is down about 60 seconds in a conversation, in other words, the phone connection is still active, but Bluetooth has fallen. When I go back to settings > Bluetooth it shows that it is not connected and I have to type to reconnect. I use this Bluetooth Oticon workflow with my hearing aids and all versions of iOS 4-5 years until this "update" for iOS 9.

When I go on the Bluetooth setting on the iPhone, I see that he is still looking for other devices and I wonder if there is a way to stop this behavior because it can be interrupted the existing connection from BT. I'm just trying to solve the problems because I am dependent on this device in order to be able to use the phone. I have a profound hearing loss, and it's the only thing that works for me. Oticon is, of course, blame Apple, but who knows and I don't like who is at fault, I just need to fix it.

Please do not suggest that I get another device or something else that a fix suggested on this specific point. I have an iPhone 6 s passing.

No, you can not stop from looking for other devices, but this isn't your problem, anyway.

Try the settings > general > reset > reset network settings and pair them up again. A second possibility is that something could interfere.

    Thank you, Lenkost.

Your question 1,... should be possible if BT stack supports a stereo audio gateway. Ever experience this, so I can't give you a concrete answer on this... try it ;)

For your question 2,... Yes, it is indeed possible. Phone calls on your laptop via BT works very well.

You can even do more advanced things as "read incoming SMS messages on your computer without even touching the phone" (they pop up as a message of "MSN"), or proximity to unlock your 'screensaver' as soon as you (your mobile phone) closer to the laptop...

I used the software available for free 'Of FloAT Mobile Agent' on a SE phone. (I think they currently support only this brand... not sure though). The link to this program free open source is here: http://fma.sourceforge.net/

Even on the film "nilo" which comes connected to media player... when it comes to an image of an egypsian walk to the horizon on the stones... If you look at the blue sky, the definition is not so good... Why is this?
Despite this problem watching movies top it s super...

    Hello

First of all, you are right. This very nice laptop s. I wish I would have a.
    Good on your problems:

1.), you should try to change the display resolution. It would be very interesting to know if the black dots remains on the screen. In addition, I put t think that it s a pixel dead issue because you don t have problems if watch you movies.

2.) have you used a Qosmio Player or a MCE? You should try to start the Qosmio player and try to launch a new search for TV channels. In the manual, you will find a detailed description of a connection and the use of the Q drive

3.) have you activated the Bluetooth with FN + F8 key combination?
Please check this post how to use a Bluetooth device:

Situation, I tried to turn on bluetooth, but continually tells me that it has not been started. I tried the following command to make it work.

Click the Bluetooth Manager,: - ("settiing Bluetooth" screen comes up)

Double-click "Bluetooth information interchange": - ("' Bluetooth information interchange" screen comes up with a message:-"Please wait" then)

    Watch "Bluetooth not started."

This problem occurred after that I have inadvertently a miniature Wireless USB connected and installed.

My wireless mouse works if I let the tile is connected when you turn on the laptop.

When you check the current status bar, Wireless LAN shows it works fine but the "Bluetooth" shows "Disabled"

    Thanks Stuarthb

    > Verifying the current status bar, Wireless LAN shows it works fine but the "Bluetooth" shows "Disabled"

Use the FN + F8 key combination again in order to activate the Bluetooth!
The FN + F8 allows Wifi and BT!
But you can switch between active disabled Wifi BT, BT active active wifi and Wifi disabled active BT.

If this does not work, reinstall the Toshiba BT stack!

  • HP ProBook s 4710: Bluetooth missing on HP ProBook 4710 s (Windows 7 64-bit) - Intel WiFi - Link 5100 AGN

    Hello

    I have a strange problem:

I have two HP ProBook s 4710 here in front of me. The two "seems" to have the same hardware inside (I don't see any difference on the stickers in the back).

I have install both of them with the same USB with Windows 7N 64-bit.

After the installation is complete (no additional driver installed).

    the first bluetooth ProBook has

the second bluetooth ProBook has NO!

I checked the BIOS, every two active a bluetooth settings on both.

    WLAN works on both.

On the first s I can also install the bluetooth drivers latest, on the second, I can't. Always the message occurred ("no device was detected. Make sure that... »).

Device Manager indicates, the two ProBooks Intel WiFi - Link 5100 AGN, the first s also Bluetooth-device listed, the second of not.

What the hell is going on here?

    Hello:

It is very strange because the HP Wireless Assistant software is registered directly on the support page and driver 4710 under the solutions section.

If this is the case, try the latest HP Connection Manager software which does the same thing the software assistant wireless.

Here's the theory behind your dilemma (except radio BT died).

This laptop once had the connection manager (since the software assistant Wireless does not) installed, and you can use this software to individually disable bluetooth or devices rather than using the wireless button wireless.

I guess that for example, turn off the stereo bluetooth with the connection manager to save a small amount of battery power, which increases the time before having to recharge the battery.  But you can still use the wireless.

The hardware button turns both off the coast.

    The big problem is...

If none of these devices are turned off by the wireless assistant or the connection manager software and that you reinstall the operating system or to update or other, wireless or bluetooth devices do not appear in the Manager of devices as if they are dead or don't exist.

And what makes this more puzzled, is that if you check the BIOS, you will see that they are present and active!

The only way to make them work again, is to turn them on by using the Deputy Director or the wireless connection software.

This is why it is absolutely essential to ensure that these devices have been turned on before you reinstall the operating system.

For those people that upgrading to W10, none of these programs work on W10, so if the BT has been disabled, the user must return to W7, activate the bluetooth, uninstall the connection manager or the wireless assistant software, reboot, ensure that the device is always on and then upgrade to W10.

Here is the link to the software of the support page for your laptop connection manager...

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp53001-53500/sp53394.exe

If this doesn't work or the other, I suspect that the BT module does not work (all hardware failures).
