  • Satellite L300 - 1 8 - Microsoft Works Suite has stopped working

    Hiya,

first I will say that I am only on my 2nd computer so im not exactly a brainbox on them.
    I have a Satellite L300 - 1 8 with microsoft vista home premium 32 bit.

I only had this laptop for less than 2 months today, when I was with microsoft works suite, word processor he suddenly stopped, I rebooted a document she had auto saved and then closed.
When I tried to open another document empty it let me, but he wouldn't let me stick to what I needed.
Now, I can't open anything in microsoft works and if I try I get the message:
+ ' A PROBLEM CAUSED THE PROGRAM TO STOP WORKING CORRECTLY. " WINDOWS WILL CLOSE THE PROGRAM AND NOTIFY YOU IF A SOLUTION IS AVAILABLE. +

What is - this and why the habit he work?
I him have not used much in fact I think it's maybe the first time. I was on the site of microsoft and its Greek to me, in any case the bit I understand he said "If your windows is preinstalled go to Toshiba" or words to that effect.

I've been on the Toshiba site and it's all Greeks too. I don't understand all this and I can't seem to find any assistance on their part, the only help I can find is this site with everything what you smart people on the resolution of our problems to us.
Then I can help you, in simple language please.

    Thank you. Julia :D

    Hello

It is a simple generic error message that you will always see when the programs or applications crash.

Something was wrong, but I can't tell what's wrong with your MS works.
If you want the event viewer for errors, but to be honest, you can check this will not help you much if you're not computer.

I gogoled a little and some people brought on the same error in MS Word, but like I said above; This is a generic error message.

However, the people have this problem than by the new installation of MS Works.
I don't know if you received a MS Works Mr. disc if so, remove/uninstall the MS Works the system first, reboot the laptop and use the MS Works drive for new installation.

  • How long should a computer be connected to the internet for activity at work?

I have the laptop of my son with a nonadministrator account set up in family safety.  My son rarely connected to internet (no wireless).  When it connects, it's usually to print her homework.  I know it's a network activity, but very little.  Family safety always reports that there is no activity (web, application, etc.).  I tested his account and I know that it works correctly.  My hunch is that it is not stay connected long enough for that follow-up activity to work right.  Please notify.  I have a similar situation with my daughter, but she spends a little more time on the internet.  His reports seem to be more accurate than my son.

    Hi JTB_GP,

Security for the family needs a consistent internet connection to make it work properly. The parental control client relies heavily on this so that the settings of the site and the activity on the computer are sent to both ends. Since your son is rarely connected to internet, settings and information from both ends cannot be synchronized properly. We are unable to determine how long you must be connected to internet for the parental controls work properly.

    Thank you!

  • Impossible to reinstall works suite 2003 on my computer

My old computer crashed and lira is no longer drives, or if she'll do a system restore.  I have my drives as well as the product key for the 2003 works. but because my computer doesn't read the discs, I can't reinstall.  Is there anything I can do to fix the computer to read disks again? Where can I go online with my product key and reinstall works suite 2003?

Depending on how old your computer is, maybe consider somewhere and get the fixed material so that you can reinstall your programs, taking into account the cost of repairs vs. cost of the new computer, etc..

  • Problem installing Works Suite 99 disc into my XP computer. I don't know the product identification number.

Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!

I try to install Works Suite 99 my drive in my computer XP (it was previously in an old computer running Windows 98.  Setup requires a product ID number that is not in my documents of purchase in 1999 of 20 digits.  My computer has XP on a programme of work 2004, but prefer to use the simplified version of 1999 instead.  Can anyone offer suggestions to overcome being blocked by the need for a product ID during the installation.

    Thank you. Ideas:

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

    Hi Ted008gar,

You must contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support to locate and get the product key from the disc. Access the link below to learn more on how to identify, locate, and replace a product key.

Well, the other day, I had to do a clean install because of the problems, but when I went to re - install the software Microsoft Works Suite 2006 CD, he missed.  I would like to know if anyone knows how or where I could get a free or low cost of replacement software CD. According
It must be updated to a newer version.

And know that the software never needs drivers. The drivers are for

  • Cannot download Microsoft Works Suite because "there are other users logged on to this computer"

I tried to launch MS Money which is part of Microsoft Works Suite, after the upgrade to Windows 7. Neither the 'I agree' button appears when you try to install the software.

The following message appears: "there are other users logged on to this computer.
"If you install or remove a program or change the installation of a program so that another user is running, it, there can be problems with the installation.
"To properly install, change or remove a program, click Cancel, and then switch and disconnect each user." Rerun the Setup program. »
I had installed Windows 7 but I had no problem but I have used a password. However, I could not recover files from a backup. I ended up doing a clean and try installation again, but without success. This time I do not use a password, because there is only a single user. How can I solve this problem? Help, please.

Install the appropriate version of money for your location from the following:

Note that the American Money 98 users... Money 2003 may use an additional step, described in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919524/en-us, of first installation of the US Money 2004 or 2005 in the first instance to perform a conversion of files before installing Money sunset.

If you open an existing Money data file secure with a Windows Live ID, disconnect from the internet and remove the Live ID. Next, install a password to protect the file.
